Alright,so I made this guide to show you the way I play Brand,and share with you my thoughts on certain matters.Take time to read through my guide.

Don't judge negatively if you haven't tried it.

In a faraway place known as Lokfar there was a seafaring marauder called Kegan Rodhe. As was his people's way, Kegan sailed far and wide with his fellows, stealing treasures from those unlucky enough to catch their attention. To some, he was a monster; to others, just a man. One night, as they sailed through the arctic waters, strange lights danced over the frozen wastes. There was something hypnotic about them; it was something that drew them to it like moths to a flame. Trekking across the frozen waste, they came to a cave covered in ancient runes. The meaning of the runes long lost to them, Kegan led the way inside. There, inside a perfect cage of ice floated a dancing column of flame. There was no way such a thing should be burning, especially not in this place. However, its movement was as hypnotic as a siren's song, captivating and seductive. While the others stayed back, Kegan could not help but approach it while holding out his hand...

That is the last thing Kegan Rodhe remembers, for now his body belongs to Brand. It is a creature of olden times, perhaps even a casualty of the Rune Wars. It is known in ancient texts as the Burning Vengeance. It is a creature of pure fiery hate that exists for no other reason than to lay waste the world of men and yordles. No one is quite sure how Brand found his way to Valoran, but he began his predations at once. Overcome by Demacian forces, he was given a choice: fight within the confines of the League or die. Naturally, he chose to use his destructive powers in the League, for now...

1.Should I go mid or not?

Well,my opinion on this is that you should go in a lane with a partner.Brand deals a lot of dmg and can really cooperate well with a teammate to get kills.I'm not saying that he's bad mid,the exact opposite,he's really good,although I believe he should go with a partner.Go mid only if nobody else can.

2.Why not get Mejai's?

Simply because you are not a champion like vlad,akali or kata who can get last hits easily.So,a mejai's won't help you as much as other items will.

3.Is Brand good in ranked games?

I haven't played a lot of games in ranked with Brand yet,(maybe like 5 games) but from what I saw and did in these games,I believe brand is good in ranked games if played correctly.He's a champion who works well with his team, and does great in team fights so my opinion is that he is definately good in ranked games (5v5).

Pros:

*Great DMG
*Aoe DMG
*Stun if used correctly
*Nukes targets
*Good farmer

Cons:

*None of his skills recharge fast.Therefore,if you use all of them at one target,you'll need to wait for 5 secs to use again,bad for team fights.
*No good escape mechanism (only if u use his stun correctly,but still)
*Hard to master

Your passive.Whenever your spells hit someone,it sets them ablaze,dealing 2% of your maximum health in dmg in 4 secs.So,the more health you have,the more will your passive deal.

Doesn't do a lot of dmg,but if the target is ablaze it will stun him.It's a skill shot,so you will need to practice in order to become good at it.

Great skill.Does a lot of dmg,has good range and sets all targets in the radius ablaze.

A great skill for farming creeps.When a target is ablaze and gets hit by this skill,it will also hit nearby enemies,setting them ablaze aswell.This skill works really good with .

Your ulti.Bounces up to 5 times,does a lot of dmg but it doesn't always bounce to the target you want.It might hit a creep or if there isn't nobody nearby on your target,it might not even bounce.So make sure to use this ulti whenever your target has at least 1 friendly of his nearby.If the target is ablaze,your ulti bounces faster.

RUNES

The reason I add these quintessences is pretty obvious.The more magic penetration,the more will your spells penetrate your enemies's MR.Can really help early game.

Now you will ask me why I get these and not the ones that give ability power per level as it is much better at lvl 18.I don't really think that this 20 extra ability power can make the difference when on lvl 18.So,if u have 10 AP at start,with a lot of magic penetration aswell,believe me,you do a lot of dmg (at start ofc).

Since Brand benefits from health for his passive,and cause he doesn't have an escape mechanism,+health is what I believe he needs.

More Magic penet?Yes.If u combine your boots,your quintessences and marks,you magic penetration will be like 40.So if your target has no item for MR,your spells will deal 100% of your dmg.

SPELLS

Great for any champion,including Brand.Can help you escape a fight and get a kill (I love flashing in,using and finishing off targets)

You definately need this.You need to free to use your skills whenever you want to.Without it you would be trying to save mana by using your spells less,which wouldn't help in killing your opponents.

Optional Spells:

The best optional for flash.Although I prefer flash.

Well...I don't really like this spell for Brand,but if u really insist you can swap it for Flash.Although I do much better with flash,it's you that will decide what you want.

You could swap this with flash aswell,although as I said I do much better with flash.

Fail Spells:

Just tell me 1 reason to use this except than feeding on purpose :P.

Alright.This is actually for people who haven't played at all with Brand.

In 3 different situations,I'll show you which spell to use first,which second etc.

Situation 1:

You wanna farm?You see a lot of creeps and you want to get gold?
First use .Then,after 1 second,and this is important cause the targets need to be set ablaze,use .You'll get a lot of gold this way.Besides,you need to remember that every like 20 creep kills it's like a champion kill.

Situation 2:

You face someone 1 on 1 and you wanna kill him.First use to set him ablaze.Since nobody will be around,you want to deal all the dmg you can deliver.After this,use your stun and make sure to hit him.When stunned,use on him,which will deal +25% more dmg cause he will be ablaze.That's the reason why you shouldn't start by using this skill first in 1v1.Use your ulti only if needed at the end to finish him off.DON'T TRY to kill tanks in 1v1 or champions with lifesteal,cause you won't kill them.As I said b4,Brand works better with his team.

Situation 3:

Now it's you and your team against the other team.You will want to stay back as you will be the first target of the other team,since you are easy to kill,you deal a lot of dmg and ofc you got no escape mechanism.Since there will be 3,4 or 5 of them you need to use your ulti first.Be SURE that they will attack or they have already attacked in order not to waste it.Afterwards,use which will deal +25% of it's damage on enemies hit by your ulti.Then,it's you that will decide if u use stun first or more damage,depending on what your team needs.For example,your mate is in trouble?Use stun first to save him and then for aoe dmg.

ITEMS

This is what you have been waiting for.

EARLY GAME

Firstly,start off with ,1 Health pot and 1 mana pot.You need the mana to be able to use your spells as much as you want to.A health pot is always needed,just like the mana pot.Make sure to get 2 health pots and 1 mana pot everytime you go back if you have used them (do that until lvl 9).Those health and mana pots can be life saviors sometimes.

Boots: I get cause of the Magic Penetration.If u combine it with your runes you'll get like 35 Magic Penet.I don't think that you need defensive boots cause if u are careful you won't have a problem at all.Though mobility is something really useful for Brand,I think he benefits more by getting +Magic Penetration.

Continue by getting so you can build your .You need this item for the great passive it has(slows people down with your spells),the health(not only will it help you to survive more,it also boosts your passive's dmg) and the AP,just totally perfect for Brand.You also need to know why this item is SO great for Brand.When a target is ablaze by using your spells,rylai's passive WILL proc,resulting to a 4sec+ slow.This item is a MUST.

It's time you decide what's next to take.You should take if you got problems with tanks,or people are starting to build up their MR.You'll definately get this item later anyway if you don't do it at that time.You want more survivability?Take .Gives you +health,+mana,+AP.Yes,it's an expensive item but if you farm creeps correctly you will do just fine.After taking one of those,you should decide whether it's time to take or whether you'll leave it for the end,depending on what enemies you face.

Late Game

Time to take those last 2 items.What I can tell you for sure is that your LAST ITEM will be .Still,that doesn't mean that you HAVE TO get this item,what I'm just saying is that if u want to get it,you'll get it last (if the game is still on).We all know that every game is different so for this reason I'll show you what items you can change depending on the enemies you face.

SITUATIONAL ITEMS

Problems with champions like malzahar,WW,karthus,ryze,morgana,veigar,vlad?Get OR (you will actually rape enemies with so much Magic penetration) instead of .

Are you focused first?Get instead of .Be sure to use the passive as it will be the one saving you.

What I would aswell recommend is getting instead of cause of the CD reduction. can aswell be taken istead of the previous 2 items,since it adds CD reduction and ofc if you got problems with tanks or targets that can sustain all of your dmg.Make sure to use the passive.Generally,CD reduction really benefits Brand,although archangel's staff would give you more AP.Your decision again.

So here is how your build should or could be.



These are the items that you definately should get.The CORE items.Then,you get to choose if u want more AP,more ap and survivability,or survivability only.

Pure DMG Ownage:

A lot of DMG + Survivability(Best in my opinion):

As I said before DEPENDING ON YOUR ENEMIES,you might need to get some items first,for example get before .

Tips For Brand.What to do and what not to.

1.Farm a lot.Farm Farm Farm.Your build will be expensive so make sure to farm creeps.Besides,it's something that Brand can do easily.
2.Stay back in team fights.You will most probably be the first target.
3.Whenever going back to base,always get a couple of potions (do that until lvl 9).
4.Being together with a teammate will always bring you some awesome results.
5.Brand is squishy so make sure not to overreact.Once you do the mistake there's no turning back,no way to escape like other champions.Demand from your teammates to say miss.
