Who Am I?
Ok all jokes aside I'm a Gold 1 player and this is my first ever guide so it's probably going to be cr*p but bear with me. I'v been spamming udyr for a year now, I play him on both top and jungle but I rarely play udyr top anymore since the Juggernaut patch. Udyr used to be my goto jungler but since the nerfs to him and the nerfs to Runic echo udyr I don't play him that much anymore but I still spam whenever I want to win. The reason I like Udyr so much is because of his playstyle, I love pressure plays and objective control, I especially love camping the top lane and just help my top laner get kills and seeing him go beast-mode on the enemy team late game just gives me joy. I also like how you can control the pace of a game if you play him right.
Udyr Introduction
Udyr is a pretty straightforward champion. run up to something and punch it that pretty much explains what udyr does the entire game, the only thing you really need to be good udyr player is game understanding, good pathing, objective control, map pressure.

Abilities
Monkey's Agility
This passive is why udyr is so fast. It gives you a extra 10% AS for 5 seconds and also increases your Movement speed by 5 everytime you switch stance for five seconds ( stacks only 3x ). This passive is great for clear speed and ganking and also for running towards or away from your enemies, this also helps you avoid skillshots
Tiger Stance
this ability is your main damage ability and this ability is the reason why udyr just demolishes tower and hurts so damn much, upon activation the next basic attack will deal your current AD plus the bonus physical damage for 2 seconds, it's sort of like a mini-ignite which can secure kills, this with sheen will just deal disgusting amounts of damage. Spam this ability to deal tons of damage
Turtle Stance
This ability is your "Nope Ability". This ability has saved my life more than I can count the nerfs to this has weakened it quite a bit but it can still block quite a bit of damage, this is also your sustain in the jungle if you combine this with the Tiger Stance and you're passive and the jungle item you'll life steal alot of health. This also helps you survive the early clears
Bear Stance
This ability with your fully stacked passive makes you incredibly fast and this is also your main ganking ability pop this when you go into lane and just stun'em, they either die or they use up a summoner. You can also use this ability to stun the scuttle crab to decrease it's resistance
Phoenix Stance
You don't really use this ability for Tiger Udyr you usually only use this for wave clear in the lane so you can split push quicker. This used to be my go to skill for udyr bet then because of the heavy nerfs to it's damage and the nerfs to runic echo it's carry potential decreased quite a bit and tiger udyr can contribute more than phoenix udyr right now
Core items
BloodRazor
Dealing 4% maximum health on enemies and monster camp is pretty good but it's not as good of an item as the sated devourer was but it's still pretty good on udyr. with this item you can melt tanks and deal alot of damage to objectives with this like towers, dragons and rift herald
Warrior
I only build this enchantment whenever I want to snowball really really hard this enchantment doesn't scale as well as the bloodrazor but the powerspike in this item when you build it is nice. You just melt enemy champions with this enchantment for the early-mid game but you have to be sure you have to end it by then.
Dead man's Plate
This item is a core on udyr, it has Hp, armor, movement speed increase and the passive on this item is really good on udyr.
Trinity Force
Since they removed the crit on trinity force and exchanged it with attack speed this item just synergizes so well with udyr now, udyr was never a champion that wanted crit. And another reason why this item is also a must on udyr is because of the phage effect adn sheen effect all this just synergizes so well with udyr and this item also gives him so much tower pushing and chase potential
Mercury's Treads
I usually pick this item up from mid-late game because by then there will be a lot of teamfighting and the tencity on this item can be the defining factor in the outcome of the teamfight
Boots of Mobility
These are the boots I usually pick up in the early-mid game because these gives give alot of movement speed when im out of combat. Since the removal of boots enchantment I always pick Mobi boots over Swiftness these days. I always switch this boot out for a mercury's treads in the late game
