Hi my name is mad lovers I started march last year (Early Season 2) and I am a Silver IV Player (Stuck in eloooooooooooo hell ):.) and this is my first guide on Mobafire. Caitlyn was my 3rd Ad Carry I played in league of legends and I loved her for her long range poke with her base Range and her Q. I use to do crazy things with caitlyn, Going agressive, Passive etc. to test out how caitlyn works in certain situations. I have even 2 vs 1 twice due to AFK support. And won my lane both times. After all my experience with caitlyn I have decided to construct all my knowledge of her into this small guide for everyone to read and share.

PROS

- One of the longest Attack Range
- Traps can be used to protect you lane from ganks or gain advantage over enemy ADC
- You NET 'E' can be used to slow enemies or to help you escape
- Can push lanes fast (with 'Q)

CONS

- No Steroid

Some other Masteries For Caitlyn to try out.

Defensive Masteries This is when you a against a lot of high damage champions.

Summoner Cooldown This shortens the cooldowns of your summoner spells

Sustain This gives extra livesteal

- Different arrangement of traps can control your enemy’s movements in the lane.
- Use Caitlyn’s traps to block off entrances to prevent ganks.
- Caitlyn can jump over small walls, using her 90 Caliber Net (E). (Can also be used to go out of jarvan's Ult. Anivia Wall And trundle Pillar of filth)
- Use your long range to your advantage
- Place your trap under Twisted Fate's Teleport Symbol to stun him.
- you gain 2 Stacks of your passive when in a bush. (Try to use that as a advantage)
- Make sure you watch your minions health as well, this can help you attack the enemies when they go to get the minion.
- Try to save you 'Headshot' for the enemy to deal a lot of damage
- If you put a trap on top of a enemy ward, and then a enemy steps on that trap it reveals the ward for a few seconds
- Farming under a tower. Melee minions take 2 tower shots before you can kill them. Caster Minions take 1. Siege minions take about 3 to 4 hits before you can kill them.

Ashe

When you against an Ashe it is pretty much balanced. You have your own set of skills to push the lane. To win the lane against her as caitlyn it is pretty much up to who has the better support.

Corki

You should win this lane unless something bad happens. you have so much range on corki he can't do anything. and also you can also easily get away from him if he tried to valkyrie onto you.

Draven

Draven is one of the hardest opponents as caitlyn out of champions (Draven, Kog'maw, Sivir) The only way to win is if you out-play him hard. I would advise you to play it safe and try to harash him when you have a chance. (By using piltover Peacemaker (Q) on his symbol when he goes to catch his axe)

Ezreal

This is a really easy lane match up for caitlyn. all you would have to do is stay behind minions trying to avoid his Q. you should also try to put out as much harass as you can onto him

Graves

This is another easy match up. All you have to do is try to stay near max range harassing him.

Kog'Maw

This is a hard match up. to win this lane I would advise you to Try to zone him on early game, try to engage onto him when his Caustic Spittle (W) (which increases his attack speed and range.) is on cool down.

Miss Fortune

All you do is harass her as much as you can. you out range her soooo easily. you can also 90 caliber net (E) out of her ult

Sivir

To win against Sivir try to stay at max range poking her with headshot. Don't use your Yordle Snap Trap (W) or your 90 Caliber Net (Q) unless you are going to use it to farm, or if her shield is on CD. She will be happy enough to spell shield them all, making her gain MANA back. which means more Boomerang Blade (Q) in your FACE!

Tristana

Be Careful early game, She can have A LOT of early game damage. When it goes into late game you should be able to out match her. In late game she will be a worthy opponent as she is a late game monster with her High range (High than caitlyn) So try to out-farm her. (Note: Tristana has 650 range at level 13 (That is same range as caitlyn))

Twitch

Easy Match up, Just harass and you will be fine.

Varus

This depends mostly on the skill of the player playing varus. I would advise you try to poke him down (staying at max range) before going for the kill.

Vayne

Caitlyn is the number one counter to Vayne (as you see on the chart) She can't even lane against caitlyn, it sooo hard. Just Poke Poke Poke Poke Poke, Does not even need to be at max range.

I use to always lose games when I played ranked. I was a very aggressive player who shouts at people telling them they suck because they were not up to my skill level. I have learned since then. and here they are:

In SoloQ You should always:

-Play the champions you are most comfortable with.
-Be relaxed. (Dom't Stress out)
-Don't Yell at your team mates if they did something bad.
-Help you team mates by Giving them tips on what to they can do better (in a polite way)
-Try to roam as much as you can, to help out you team mates.
-Don't get annoyed if you support takes the kill. Really it does not matter. You should also tell them that, so they don't hesitate to take the kill when you can't.
-Try to get every objective you can. Buffs,drake etc
-Try to last hit really well. You should know how much damage it takes to kill a minion.

You should always try to watch AD Carries play in tournaments & Streams to try learn how they play. Even check them out of lolKing and proBuilds to see how they build and their rune/masteries.
