I feel like newer players think that memorizing a bunch of combos will make you better when that is not the case. Sure, certain combos will help you out and I will show you them. But there is only one combo that maximizes damage and should be used whenever you can. Also be sure to use your close-ranged Q whenever you can since it does more damage and procs your passive. Also I would say that most of these aren't worth memorizing or anything. The feel for Talon combos usually come naturally.

W>Q>R>AA>Ignite Optimal Talon combo


Here are some other combos that could help:


Q>R>W>AA>Ignite This one will help you gap-clear medium range enemies. This isn't ideal since you're not guaranteed to proc your passive.


R>Q>W>AA>Ignite NEVER use this unless you know you can kill the enemy but they are getting away.

Note: I've seen a LOT of new Talon players ult so early and run towards an enemy that isn't even running away so they can Q them. I would strongly advise against this because it makes your ult useless and just gives you mobility that you don't need.

-Flash over a wall, combo, and E out to guarantee safety during teamfights, or to kill isolated champions.

-W your laner as soon as the game starts to test how well they dodge it. This can give you some information on how good they are.

-I used to run stormrazor on talon instead of duskblade before it got reworked. It was pretty strong but I haven't tried it since then.

-If you know you can kill your laner after using this combo, you can W>Flash>Q and kill the **** outta your laner. It's hard to pull off but its very effective.

-This is VERY hard to pull off but I've done it a few times: If your laner is low enough and they dodge your second W by side-stepping, there's a small chance you can flash so that your W hits them on the way back so you can proc your passive and kill them. This also works for other directions and it takes practice.
