If you're playing top, preferably try banning this one because your lane phase is NOT gonna be cool, man...
GP's oranges are enough to keep him alive and healthy even after your trades and he can outrange you massively with his barrels. Plus, his ult is global like yours.
Dr. Mundo
Mundo is just way too strong. Too much health regen, immune to your engage, and his main damage source comes from his Q. Just try to play for your team and don't let him get fed. It'll be easier to deal with him if you have an anti-tank like Trundle or Kai'sa.
Mordekaiser
This matchup is playable, but the main reason I put him up here is because of how long trades are bad against this guy, and this is a mistake I've seen multiple people make. Watch out for his isolated Q and make sure you're safe enough so he doesn't just kill you in his ultimate. Try building items like Sunfire, FoN and Wit's End - if you're feeling quirky.
Darius
There's not much you don't know to talk about. Darius' passive is simply too dangerous, so focus on short trades only. Back off if you have no way to mitigate damage. My suggestion would be to get a bramble vest ASAP.
Jayce
Jayce has extremely high range and poke potential - Punish him once he switches to melee stance. It would be ideal to have your jungler gank you if possible.
Kled
Kled's just way too annoying... This matchup might come down to skill, but I feel Shen has a disavantadge of some sort especially because of Skaarl.
Illaoi
Dodge the E or dodge the game
Garen
Just block his Q and you should be fine honestly. His E deals major damage if you stay too close, so watch out.
Volibear
Regular volibear shouldn't be too hard to deal with. Block his stun with your W, and make sure to avoid his E. I would put this on "minor threat" but he's simply too strong.
Poppy
Skill matchup. Hitting your E without being blocked by her barrier is kind of a mind game, so when you engage, just walk up to her instead of dashing right away.
Akali
Skill matchup. Remember her main source of damage (at least in theory) comes off of her passive, so time your W right.
Teemo
Teemo is misconcepted a lot by people - He's not really good in a fair fight, so he relies on mind games and being annoying to tilt the enemy as much as possible. Build Merc Treads whenever you can and wait for his blind to run out (OH GOD IT'S 3 SECONDS LONG NOW) so you can beat the crap out of him. Becomes 3 times easier if you have a partner ganking you!
Fiora
Shen excels against duelists in general, and Fiora is no exception. Just watch out for her LVL 6 spike and you should be fine. Maybe get a bramble vest as early as possible.
Irelia
Do what you'd do with every other champion; only fight if her passive isn't stacked. Prioritize dodging her E. If you play it carefully, you should stomp her with quite ease.
Trundle
His main source of damaging is smacking and biting, so he shouldn't be big of a trouble for you, but watch out for his ult in teamfights.
Master Yi
Master Yi is completely auto-attack based (besides his Q). Your shields + armor and W should be more than enough to deal with him.
Nunu & Willump
DOUBLE SHIELD DOUBLE SHIELD DOUBLE SHIELD
Nunu is a perfect jungle for shen considering the way he engages and how both ults combined grant him max protection.
Volibear
Very good synergy for diving! Impressive offensive power.
Fiddlesticks
Fiddle and Shen are a strong combination due to their strong offensive abilities + Shen's defensive power.
Udyr
Udyr + Shen = Despair.
Samira
This is great for Samira considering her ult's life steal was SEVERELY nerfed. Samira has a great follow up for Shen's E as much as Shen has a great ult follow up with her R.
Twisted Fate
TF's ultimate is pretty much like Shen's- without the shield. Both ults combined can make a perfect gank strategy to secure a kill (Both ults have high cooldown, so USE WISELY!!)
Nocturne
This one is very interesting because Nocturne removes enemy vision - They won't realize where you've gone until it's too late.
Amumu
As you might've noticed, Shen's strongest synergies are champions with strong engage and/or roaming abilities. It's no different with Amumu.
Galio
Galio and Shen are basically going to be the damage sponges in teamfights. Their protective ults are great for peeling and allow them to split push before joining their team.
Kennen
Time your skills right and your enemy might not even move before they die.
Anivia
Perfect to keep Anivia alive in her egg form if needed or just her while she's alive (obviously)
Vex
Vex is known both for throwing herself in the enemy team and making them back off and respect her personal space. Shen is... Oddly similar to that.
Kindred
Both their ults are very strong for keeping allies alive during a teamfight.
Diana
Diana kinda does what Nunu does, but most of the time she doesn't really need the help as she'll one-shot the poor soul who's fighting her.
Tryndamere
I guess it's not bad. After Tryndamere's ult ends, Shen can follow up with his own to make sure Tryndamere comes out alive.
Gnar
Great combo overall, but most of the time you won't need to ult Gnar due to his health bonus in his Mega form. Try to protect your more fragile allies in this case.
Kalista
I mean, it works if YOU'RE the support.
Kai'Sa
It's pretty good, actually. It can really help secure a kill if you need that little bit of extra damage to get the job done.
Kayn
It's nothing special, really. Kayn can engage the enemies using his skills, and right before he ults, Shen ults him to make it a 2v1.
Morgana
Hear me out; it's not that the synergy is bad, but Morgana builds Zhonya's 100% of the time, so in theory she almost never needs Shen to protect her.
Tristana
I don't think ulting Tristana is a good idea unless she's fed - otherwise she might jump into 5 enemies and die before you even get there...
Yuumi
no
...
maybe ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°
Yuumi peels a lot, so usually there's no need for Shen to interfere.
Draven
Not really a fan of this synergy in bot lane because there are way more interesting supports - Leona is a way better pick for this guy. There's just not much to say about this Draven + Shen synergy.
Shen
Don't be silly - You can't have two Shens in one team!
Unless- Unless you're playing One for All...
Teemo
just no.

Very sorry if the builds are confusing and not well organized! This is my first post ever and I'm still trying this out. Please do comment your opinion, I'm not really high elo and willing to learn.
