Introduction

Hello ladies and gentlemen! My name is eniTTy, i have been playing League of Legends for a couple of years now.

READ: This guide is not very indepth and many might not agree with my way of playing Rengar. It was created as an archive for myself to look back on and see how things change. DO NOT consider this a pro guide.

So i finally decided to make a guide for one of my main champions; Rengar. Whenever i play Rengar, i usualy play very good. I almost NEVER finish with negative stats, and of course i am also capeable of helping my team out whenever that is needed. Rengar aint very hard to play, which makes him a funny champion! The thing about Rengar is, you have to be quick at making decisions that can be the difference between life and death. Mastering the passive can also be hard, but if done properly, it's freaking insane. Thats why i made this guide. When this guide is completed you can read all about how to solo top as Rengar.

People are very often suspicious of guides on the internet. Can they be trusted? Does this guy know what he's talking about? Well, i will prove that by explaining every detail you need to know about my item/rune/skill building.

Lore

On every wall of his den, the trophy hunter Rengar mounts the heads, horns, claws, and fangs of the most lethal creatures in Valoran. Though his collection is extensive, he remains unsatisfied, tirelessly seeking greater game. He takes time with every kill, studying his prey, learning, and preparing himself for the next encounter with the one monster he never managed to defeat.

Rengar never knew his real parents, but was raised by a human who was revered as a legendary hunter. He was an ideal pupil, intently absorbing the lessons of his father, and improving them with his uncanny feral instincts. Before his mane had fully grown, Rengar set off on his own and claimed a wide territory for himself. Along its perimeter, he mounted the skulls of his slain prey - a warning to would-be aggressors. He thought undisputed reign of a region would fulfill him, but instead, he grew restless. No beasts in his domain proved challenging prey, and without formidable adversaries to push his limits, Rengar's spirit waned. He feared that no worthwhile game remained, that he would never again feel the thrill of the hunt. Just when things seemed their bleakest, he encountered the monster. It was a disturbing, alien thing, distinctly out of place in his world. It bore huge scything claws and devoured any animal that strayed across its path. Overzealous at the prospect of a challenge, Rengar ambushed the monster in haste. It far outclassed anything he'd hunted before. Their fight was savage, and each suffered crippling wounds. Rengar lost an eye, but the most grievous blow was to his pride. He had never before failed to make the kill. Worse yet, the severity of his injuries forced him to retreat. Over the following days, he hovered on the threshold between life and death. He was wracked with pain, but beneath it, he felt a glimmer of joy. The hunt was on. If such powerful beings existed in the world, he would find them, and stack their heads high. The monster, however, was a kill he wanted to savor. On his den's largest wall, he reserves a space for the beast's head, a trophy he swears will one day be the centerpiece of his collection.

"Prey on the weak and you will survive, prey on the strong and you will live." -Rengar

Runes

The runes for Rengar are very typical runes for a toplane bruiser. Scaling MR, Armor and straight AD is very normal, but to slightly increase the burst, i've added a few Arp runes as well, which works. You might not notice the arp, but it helps alot especially when you reach the Black Cleaver.

The most important part of the runes are the armor and the MR. They m make you tougher and more resistant to pokes, which makes your sustain better considering you have a heal as Rengar (W).

Summoners

The summoners are very, very optional. Take the ability you like the most, and combine them so you can play your normal playstyle. The setup i have made fits me great.

The first summoner i pick is Ghost. The reason why i drop Flash for this ability is because when using your ultimate, you can boost you're movement speed even more, which makes ganking and chases even stronger.

Exhaust is also very optional, but to increase your burst even further, Exhaust will make it possible to obliterate your oponent.

Teleport is also a very nice ability to have when playing toplane. Rengar has alot of sustain if played correctly, which makes it really frustrating for your enemy when they finally force you out, you just teleport back with more items and full health.
