Gnar
One of the few ban worthy champions you never want to face, Gnar's auto attacks will chunk down your HP and there is little counter play as a Sion against him early game.
Fiddlesticks
His engage and fear will make it easy for you to land your abilities as well.

Champion Build Guide
I'm a casual league player that has been at it since the release of the public beta back in 2010, I'm an aggressive top and support laner that excels with CC heavy champions like Sion and thresh.
I've played Sion since season 1 and have mastered him into his rework as well, although I'm not a challenger tier or nothing; I have managed to master this behemoth of a champion and now wish to share my wisdom with any low elo or casual player that wants to take a crack at Sion.
Your number one objective is to farm as many minions as you can during the laning phase and to bully your enemy, don't look for kills if there are none because that will just cause you to lose the fuel for your mid game.
In the mid game, granted you've farmed minions for the whole first 10 minutes of the game and have completed your core items; you'll be grouping with your team if and only if you spot the enemy team doing the same. Remember, you're the pressure needed for your team to excel; so if you don't have to group, push the hell out of that top lane and take turrets to force the enemy's attention on you.
REMEMBER!!
Objectives will win the game, not senseless kills; even though having a positive KDA is nice.
PASSIVE - Glory in Death
Your passive basically brings you back to life for a limited time where you will auto attack and lifesteal, but your health will decay on its own. Use this passive when you tower dive and can guarantee a kill, even if you die afterwards; you can just attack the tower and get plates easily if your wave is pushed. If you die during teamfights, just focus the enemy's ADC or most fed player since they will use their CC and abilities to stop you; if you die, make em waste their ressources.
Q - Decimating Smash
An ability that can be charged to deal massive damage, it acts as a slow with instantly cast or a stun/knock up when charged; so use it as needed. This is your bread and butter, the crème de la crème of your abilities; use this to CC lock the enemy team and any foolish player that challenges you to a fight. Combine this with your E to guarantee a charged hit, unless they have mobility abilities or waste their Flash summoner spell.
W - Soul Furnace
This ability has a passive and active. The passive is that everytime you kill a minion or champion, you gain HP and it scales indefinitely. The active is a shield that converts into a percentage of your max HP which after a certain amount of time; you can detonate or it will automatically to deal damage around you. Now this here is your engage tool, pop this when you use your ult to mitigate damage and also blow it up if you still have the shield on when near enemy champions. I personally love this ability because as your HP gets bigger, this ability hits harder when popped.
E - Roar of the Slayer
In simplistic terms, this is a slow that can be used on enemy champions. But if you use it on a minion, it will send the minion flying back in the direction of the roar, and if this minion passes through other minions and enemy champions; it will slow them and cleave their armor by a set percentage for a limited time. Think of this as black cleaver except without the stacking armor shred; its just one big slap on the armor and you're ready to tear them a new one. Use this with your Q to maximize its damage.
R - Unstoppable Onslaught
Your ult, just point your cursor in a direction you want things to die; and then press R to use it. Guide your designated angry giant in that direction and then smash into the enemy, simple right? NOT!! This skill is your biggest engage tool when not with your team, use this when and only when you know you can land it on either an enemy champion or a tower since it does damage towers based on your HP and AD. This skill combos well with your W mid run and will allow you to chain into your Q with ease.
Rundown
So in my personal experience, a full combo would start with your ult and W when engaging; then once you land your ult, scream at your victim with your E and then unleash SMASHVILLE!! If they don't die, your team will finish them off; simple and clean, right?
To begin, Doran's Shield; why right? It's simple, you're only objective early is to farm and this little shield has a passive that regens you when you get hit by an enemy champion, so basically it makes poking you out of lane a tad bit harder but that doesn't mean you're invincible.
Next is the Sunfire Aegis, I mean its literally a teamfighting item that makes you deal ridiculous amounts of AoE damage to the entire enemy team the longer you're in battle. But if this isn't your fancy, you can go for Frostfire which will add a slow to your auto attack.
Dead man's plate is a personal preference, I like to chase my victim like a crazed axe wielding giant; and it makes your first auto when charged hurt alot, increasingly so if you have an undying grasp proc as well.
Tenacity boots, simple; I don't like to be CCed for long and it provides a small MR boost for those pesky mages.
Force of Nature is the bad boy of the items, it's just a Dead man's but for MR and will proc on any abilities used on you; giving you extra MR and a movement speed boost. Trade secret, if your allies cast an ability on you; it won't proc the defenses but will proc the speed, just saying.
Thornmail, why? Because I want to feel like a Rammus but actually be worth anything in a game, nuff said.
Sterak's Gage is the last item, because it has a shield for your shield that shields you from mostly any damage that comes your way. It is the essence of tank, and as a tank of all tanks; we want it; plus extra bonus, it looks like Sion's hand so why not.
THANK YOU!!
