Introduction

Hi everyone. I´m Drake and this is my Fiora guide for League of Legends. This is my first time making a guide here so if you want to point out correction/mistake made, contribute, constructive criticism or just say thanks please do so. Fiora is an excellent champion to play if you want to carry your team.

Why play with Fiora?
Fiora is the new champion of the League and because of that she is overpowered (almost as Tryndareme) thanks to her high AD, AS and abilities. Also she is a very good killer of almost any other champion around, from assassins like Shaco or Talon to other carrys like Tryndamere (it's an easy kill below level 6 thanks to Riposte most of the time).

Without further delay my dear readers lets start the guide. I put a lot of work doing this guide and learning a little of code to make it look good (it was fun actually) so please comment and try the build before you vote and afterwards tell me what you liked about it.

Runes

Runes

Precision
Fleet Footwork
Phase Rush
greater mark of desolation combined with Greater Quintessence of Desolation works wonders with Fiora because it allows you to penetrate the enemy armor since the start.
Greater Seal of Armor gives flat armor since the start, that means that you will receive a little less of damage from everything since the star, also choose flat armor over armor per level because minions, monsters and most champs will deal AD based attacks since the start.
Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist will allow you to stay on the line against an AP champion for a little longer and will give more defense at the end.
Greater Glyph of Cooldown Reduction Will reduce your cooldowns enough to be able to jungle with fewer recalls and taking advantage of the blue buff.

Summoner Spells

Laner

Space...so much space. Yeah i space...so much space

Now of summoner spells when you are playing on a lane you will want Flash and Exhaust the perfect combination that will allow you to pursue to pick a kill or to escape from being killed. Taking Ignite is also a good choice in case they try keep bothering or they heal too much (works wonders against Dr. Mundo´s Maximum Dosage)

Jungler

Space...so much space. Yeah i space...so much space

Now as a jungler you will need Smite to kill buff monsters, counter-jungle (steal buffs mostly) and to disrupt the flow of the other jungle. Surge as the second spell will give you a little extra when fighting at the first levels when you are the most squishy and will allow you to deal extra damage in a figth plus it will power Riposte's parry due to the AP boost *(more in the jungling section). Exhaust or Ignite is a good choice too if you prefer a more safe approach.

Now for the other spells.

Cleanse is a good bet in case you are being targeted a lot by CC or disablers, in the other hand, Banshee´s Veil has the same effect on a 90 seconds cooldown.

Heal is always a safe bet that can lure the enemy into jumping too soon and can be usefull during all the game.

Teleport can get you anywhere as long as you have minions, towers or something there and in only 4 seconds.

For the other spells well. Ghost can easily be copied by using Burst of Speed and hitting an enemy 2 or 3 times and has less cooldown. Promote is situational and work if one of the lanes need help pushing. Clarity useless, we have blue buff as jungler and you will not waste that much mana on a lane except that there is heavy pushing (in wich case you just tower hug and use Lunge, Burst of Speed and Riposte combo to get close, hit and if they try to hit you they will get hurt (you should time the Riposte with their hits). Clairvoyance is the last spell worth mentioning yet there is no use for us as laners nor junglers, in both cases we need to rely on wards or another teammate.

Explanation of skills, usage and battle tactics.

Now on the skills department Fiora has only two skills that scale with AD Lunge and Blade Waltz plus Riposte that scales 100% with AP and finally Burst of Speed that doesn´t scales. That means that your focus should be on AD as much as possible and AP will help us in case that we need or want an specific items ( Trinity Force for example).

Let's start by explaining your abilities.

Lunge is your primary chase, will make you ignore collision unit until you reach your mark. If the other champion dies along the way or he uses flahs or similar ability you will end on marked spot and will not chase any longer. Can be used a second time for free on the next few seconds (about 4). Also as soon as you hit you can instant auto attack an enemy close to him. Has a small range (600) and doesn't deal much damage.

Riposte is your passive nuke and only shield. Passive will increase your attack by 15 on level 1 and also giving you a shield that will block the damage of 1 auto attack or charged auto attack ( Caitlyn's Headshot, Garen's Decisive Strike, Talon's Noxian Diplomacy and also auto attacks powered by Sheen, Trinity Force and similar) however the effect will strike (slow, silence and such). Al the other abilities are not stopped and they will hit you.

Burst of Speed GOD this hurts. This is your bread and butter and will allow you to drop the health of the other champions to 0 very quickly. This will increase your attack speed for 3 seconds and each hit will increase your movement speed for three more seconds that means that you will be able to pursue or escape easily. Watch out for thornmails because that will hit you hard.

Finally Blade Waltz is your ultimate and as such it deals a lot of scattered damage or a little nuke to one. Fiora's ultimate has a maximum damage so she will deal about 1k maximum damage per champion (500 + 4 hits at 25% = 1000 x 1.2 attack damage)

With the basic abilities explained now we can picture an easy combo. Lunge to your opponent, parry the next attack with Riposte and increase your attack speed with Burst of Speed. Now you have three options: First is that you are low on health then you run thanks to the speed increase and can even use the second Lunge to a nearby enemy, second option is if they are low on health and they run. Just pursue them with your remaining Lunge. The third option is the stand off, you are ok in health and he is not running, chances are both are waiting for the cooldown to finish to kill each other and this can become troublesome in early levels because of the long cooldown. In any case is better to secure the kill with Blade Waltz (be carefull that he may run or flash to a nearby tower.

Another thing to always remember is that you are a skirmisher, your attack window is 3 to 5 seconds, after that all your abilities are in cooldown and you are dealing normal damage but you are very squishy. In higher levels and with a full build you should have a 5 to 7 second cooldown until you can use your abilities again.

Now after reading all this you should realize that she can be a wonderful jungler but will suck at team fights because the focus will be on you (main AD dealer) however it takes practice.

With all this explained we can start with the items.
