Champion Build Guide

Fiora Guide 25.15

By Volkeran
Hello my name is nowdays Rayto and I am here with the goal to bring you the Champion Fiora a bit closer.

About me: Back then in 2018 I was a challenger 3v3 Enjoyer with Riven. I occasionally played her in Solo/duo as well receiving a good Rank. After the nerfs of Riven and the removal of 3v3 I picked up Fiora as my main champ and one tricked her to Grandmaster for 3 seasons in a Row. Nowdays my Champion pool is bigger but I believe, that I can still play Fiora on that level, or even better today.

First of all, what kind of champion is Fiora? She is in the Category "Splitpusher" that means you play your own game. Ever had a team flaming you for constant split pushing? Then they just have missing knowledge about top lane and the champion differences. There are Bruiser, Splitpusher and Tanks.

Important to say, Tiamat/Hydra activation procs her Vitals. The way you want to play her ult is, if possible go melee, ult and dash behin them and proc the mark, then you go to the side closest to the wall and proc it with hydra to prevent them running the mark to the wall. in 90% of cases they will run to their safe spot which is the tower so they automatically run the 3. mark to you and you can auto it and Q the last.

Short said, Fiora is not really useful in Teamfights. Only really prticipate in them if your team is ahead, doesn't matter if you are ahead or your ADC/Mid/Jungle is stomping hard, you only want to participate in a Teamfight if there is a 100% Winchance in this one.

What is your main goal on this champion? Basically to push, create pressure to the enemy team. Use the jungle objectives as a point. If Drake is up, you assign your lane to top, if Baron is up, you assign your lane to bot. Same with Atalhan, where ever it is, place yourself on the opposite side of the objective. Since you do not wanna really participate in Teamfights, instead you wanna go for 1v1 or 1v2 fights, it makes no sense to position yourself on the lane the closest to the objective.

Why is that so? Because Fiora is great in 1v1 or even 1v2 given to the game state. So you want to force at least one person as far away from the jungle objective as possible. The stronger you are, the more people will come for you or they send the most fed person of their team to you. For example if there is a Drake fight happening 5v4, you get a free push on towers. If your team flames you, it is not your fault if you keep them updated, that you go to that specific lane with pings or chat. All your team has to do before starting an objective fight is, to wait until your push gets answered by a champion.

For example, the enemy wave is on your T2 tower and you need to push it to their T2 Tower, then the Objective fight should not happen until you are close to reach their tower, otherwise there is no pressure created yet, so given to the Elo like Silver/Gold/Plat, it is recommended to chat with your team about your plan and let them know to start it once an enemy appears on your lane.

Fiora is in my oppinion a great split pusher cause she has a lot of basic dmg given to her True dmg Vitals, that also provide some sustain. Her Ult is also a great heal and dmg output. Her Q is a good Engage but also Disengage tool and her W gives her many opportunities to outplay. You can easily go for a push, take jungle camps of the enemies to deny them gold and XP and get ahead, if you find the enemy Jungler you can fight them as well and also go for fast roams cause your Q has basically no CD.

Why is Fiora bad in Teamfights? While her ultimate is a great Teamfight tool with the big heals it provides, it can be really painful to execute it sometimes. Your Q might not hit the target you intent to hit, a lot of CC can happen to you and when you are full focussed, it can happen you have no use at all. If you go into a Teamfight, try to flank the backline through the jungle or side, watch for an angle to engage it.

Fiora makes a great splitpusher, but keep in mind, that you need a lot of good vision. If you split push, you can always expect someone coming to you, place wards in the jungle on good places to know who is coming and what to expect, cause often they will try to flank you. Cause this is the main reason why Fiora is so much better splitpushing than Teamfighting, you go into an obvious Matchup you know who will be coming and who you will fight, in a Teamfight it is random, maybe they focus you, maybe not. When you see people coming to you, you do have the advantage that you have space between you and them, you can decide to fight and kill them or if it is a scary one cause 4 people move for you, you just go and waste their time. In a Teamfight you don't have that.

Splitpushing is also a good option to start a Teamfight, you see 5 people mid, push top to their T2 or base, someone has to come to take the wave, in this moment you already roam mid given to your good mobility and flank their backline. Let your team know you are coming. A Teamfight where you outnumber the emenies by 1 or even 2 if you manage to OS the backline is a huge win chance.

Pros:
- Good in splitpush cause your Q and E deal dmg on towers and reset autoattacks
- Great in 1v1 or even 1v2, 1v3 if ahead
- high dmg output with true dmg scaling to health
- Good mobility, Engage and Disengage tools
- Higher than usual sustain
- Can build tankier items without falling behind given to scaling dmg

Contras:
- Really bad in even teamfights
- Rarely interacts with the Team as a whole
- Can fall behind quickyl by losing the lane
- Her ult can be outplayed by standing towards a wall
