Hi, my name is FraleBot and welcome to my Varus guide for season 11. I am not ranked yet in this season, but last one I finished in Gold IV with not a lot of games played, which is why I'm making this guide for Iron/Bronze/Silver elo only to escape the "elo Hell". I am also (occasionally) streaming on Twitch with the same username so if you have any extra questions just ask, i'm very happy to help you on that one. If you check my LoL username to see my match history/stats etc., you can notice how I don't have a lot of games played with Varus. While that is in fact true, I still know (well, at least I hope I do) a lot of theory/mechanics behind the game to feel qualified enough to write this guide.

While I do understand that Duskblade of Draktharr's passive got nerfed for the new season, I still think that it's the best "Mythic" item for Varus. It gives him Lethality that you want to build for Varus, 60 AD compared to 55 that it gave in last patch and 20 Ability Haste that you need for his poke with Q. Prowler's Claw could also be a good shout, but I prefer Duskblade over it because of it's passive (giving all other "Legendary" items extra Ability Haste). Youmuu's Ghostblade and Edge of Night just continue the story with building Lethality. Edge of Night is also very useful because it gives him the shield from the passive and 325 health so he is not as easy to target as he would be without the item. Ionian Boots of Lucidity are go to boots because they give another 20 Ability Haste which lower's the cooldown on his abilities and, on top of that, they give +12 Summoner Spell Haste. Other than that, everything else that you want to buy is compatible and it will all depend on who you're playing against/how deep in the game you are. If it's not late game yet and you're somehow so fed that you have Core built, go for Blade of the Ruined King and Guardian's Angle, you will have a field day with that combination of items. If you play against a tank you're best of buying Armor Penetration (go with Lord Dominik's Regards). Those are just some examples of situiations that can happen so, once your Core Build is done, you're on your own as to what you want to buy next.
