Rammus forces you to go red kayn regardless of the rest of his teamcomp for the fact that he can out contest scuttles and ganks as well as taunt you if you choose Shadow Assasin easily.
Graves
Graves can clear faster then you invade you at will and if you go Shadow Assassin he can blind you when you engage he also has the power to one shot you at will.
Lee Sin
Just so long as Lee doesn't gain an early lead into you Lee Sin shouldn't prove much of a threat as even pre-form you can somewhat contest him and after form easily 1v1 him and out contest objectives.
Lulu
Regardless of what form kayn goes he will need to go into a teamfight whether through the backline or in the front but lulu negates the pressure from kayn as he needs to use his utility to go into a fight but lulu can polymorph and make him less then useless.
Gragas
Going either form with graves is fine and just so long as you dont try to contest early into him youll be fine as you can ult his ult and catch him easily
Hecarim
Just so long as you are into a good comp for going red kayn you should be fine just care for how hecarim can ult you out of a wall and e you causing your e to glitch when he hits you.
Fiddlesticks
FIddlseticks is a really annoying matchup as you need to go blue kayn to assassinate him yet if you go blue fiddle will one shot you with his amount of cc and burst damage.
Nunu & Willump
Nunu is a hard counter to kayn seeming as he has better early game prior and better ganks and better cc even when going red kayn and good enough peel to protect teamates from blue kayn
Jax
Just take care of invading without prior but make sure to take camps when he isn't on that side of the map as jax relys on farming and scaling so denying him of vital exp and gold sets him further behind till he wont scale till 40-50 minutes in.
Warwick
Dont try to contest early scuttles or drags unless big lane prior because warwicks passive and q sustain allow him to outdamage and trade onto you.
Zac
Zac can be a real threat if hes on a team of squishys as you'll need to go blue kayn but he can peel and cc you but if not this should be a fairly simple matchup going red with the tank shred and sustained damage allows for easy fights when zacs in them allowing for a full hp regen when ulting zac.
Lillia
Lillia is incredibly annoying for both red and blue kayn because of her poke and burst damage but if going blue kayn get your w q aa off and then make sure to ult her ult then continue the fight as her ults the only thing that really stops you.
Vi
With her cc and heavy burst going into a vi as kayn can be incredibly painful but if handled well this matchup can go either way just try to avoid vi across the map and dont try to contest her in counter ganks or scuttle fights.
Shyvana
If going blue kayn consider getting an edge of night for the spellshield to avoid most of her damage in her e and ult future ones and she should be fairly easy to one shot and going red kayn just step out of her e if it hits and focus on regennning off of her and using her for an ult as she usually has quite a bit of HP in Dragon Form.
Ivern
Ivern can be annoying as he has cc and a shield so this puts blue kayn to uselessness but getting close to him as red kayn can be tricky due to his mobility and root and daisy knockup.
Dr. Mundo
This is a very easy matchup as you can almost continuously invade early and take jungle camps to put Dr Mundo far behind.
Master Yi
If you let Master Yi get ahead he will snowball into carrying the game but if you cna shut him down you can kill him whether going blue kayn or red as with red u can cc with w to finish him or with blue u cna abuse the bug where you can w from inside a wall so he cant see it and he will be one shot with a classic combo.
Orianna
Orianna is an amazing pick if you want to duo with kayn as she provides movement speed and shielding as well as a group up in the form of her ultimate ability which allows you to get massive damage in blue form and massive heals in red form.
Yuumi
Yuumi is the ideal synergy as regardless of which form you choose yuumi makes you incredibly strong on Shadow Assassin she makes you one shot people and have extreme movement speed if on Rhaast You heal more then believed possible
Shen
Shen is great to be paired with kayn as he provides cc in the form of his e for free ganks as well as in the midgame/lategame he can ult you and kayn can ult into someone to guarentee shen a free taunt.
Zilean
With the movement speed and free G.A Zilean is perfect for kayn especially blue kayn for the extra mobility and liveability allowing blue kayn to assassinate more targets in a fight before being shutdown.
Seraphine
Seraphine like all champions with large cc amount and shielding/healing is amazing with kayn especially blue kayn as she cant help him survive burst as well as set them up in a line allowing for multiple enemies to be hit with his w and q.

On kayn when wishing to go either form i will almost always start red with a leash preferably then go to krugs over the wall then clear raptors into wolfs into blue then gromp into scuttle then gank/reset (depending if a gank is possible. But if going blue kayn and wishing to start a specific lane you can do a 4 camp clear wolfs raptors red and then krugs into a gank either bot or top getting level 3.
Kayn Mindset
Depending on which form you decide to go on kayn his playstyle is very different on Rhaast you need to farm until an item lead and focus on frontlining in teamfights and protecting you carrys/peeling. But on Shadow Assasin (blue) your entire goal is to eliminate the enemy carrys (usually their adc or mid) by staying out of site until the fight begins and then flanking in to one shot and then backing out to wait for cooldowns.
Deciding Which Form
Usually i decide to go shadow assassin if the enemy team has 3 or more squishy/ranged champions and go rhaast if they have 3 or more tank/melee champions but when deciding which form to go keep in mind that some lanes are easier to gank then others and some champs say they have a lissandra midlane as their second ranged and rest of team is squishy-ish but you would have to keep in mind the difficulty that comes with ganking a lissandra
Mechanics
There are some mechanics on kayn that are very helpful whether its in jg clearing or in a fight some of his clear mechanics ae him being able to q into a wall and not go over it to end his q animation quicker and get his double damage off faster also being able to solo both gromp and the blue sentinel at that same time. There is a useful bug on the odyssey kayn skin which makes blue kayns w appear invisble to the enemy when kayn is inside a wall when he uses it still afflicting the damage but not appearing visible to the enemy. Another good kayn mechanic that is extremely helpful and used every game is in a fight you can use blue smite to mark an enemy to ult them this is especially usefull on blue kayn as your ult range is larger.
Detailed Kayn First Clear
Preferably start red and if your team gives u a leash good if they dont its fine just puts u behind in clear speed a bit but after finishing red level e second and e over the krugs wall and use q on both then focus big krug down then q all of the 3 medium krugs and kite to q all of the small ones again then walk/e to raptors autoing the front one then q to the back, focus large raptor and then q again to finish them off then level up q again as w is not needed unless fighting. Walk to wolves q all three of them auto the big wolf two times then e to blue buff and auto blue two times and q all of the wolves to finish them off again then auto blue again then walk to gromp and kite it to the middle of the blue and gromp spawns and then use q and smite to solo both at the same time without them resetting. If the enemy jungler ends up on the same scuttle as you dont contest as both of your smites aare gone instead go straight to the uncontested scuttle on the oter river. After this you can either go into a gank on any of the lanes, invade the jungler on a side they havent full cleared yet say you're vs a rek sai you know they wont have cleared their krugs on their first ful clear as she would usually do a 3 camp clear (red blue gromp. Using jg knowledge of other champs clears is crucial when invading as you know what level they'll be and what camps they have cleared adn what side of the map they will end up. Another thig to do after your full clear is if there are no available lanes to gank you can clear back into your redside jg and clear krugs then raptors and reset having enough gold for ironspike whip or serrated dirk depending on the form you wish to go.
