Introduction

Hi, I'm WinnerOfGames and this is my build guide on Fizz.

Who is Fizz?
Fizz is a champion in League of Legends. He is perhaps among the strongest champions in the League.

What role does Fizz play?
Fizz can be played as a jungler, or a assassin. I prefer playing him as a assassin. Which is what I'll be doing in this guide.

This guide covers:
-Masteries
-Item Purchases
-Skill Sequence
-Runes
-Summoner spells
-Spell Combos
-Pros and Cons
-Farming

Pros / Cons

Pros:
-Quite tanky late game
-Ultimate has a very long range
-Can poke at squishy champions

Cons:
-Early game dependent
-Targeted in fights
-Gets poked at if you mess up your early game

Masteries

I go 21/0/9, taking everything for AP on the Offense tree, nothing for the Defense tree, and the mana and movement speed masteries for utility.

Runes

I like playing Fizz with burst damage, so i go:

9x Greater Mark of Magic Penetration.

The reason you need these are because you deal magic damage, because in theory, these runes lower your opponent's magic resist so you can deal more damage.

9x Greater Seal of Ability Power.

This is pretty simple. AP for damage output.

9x Greater Glyph of Cooldown Reduction.

This is for cool downs to spam your abilities.

3x Greater Quintessence of Ability Power.

Again, simple. Damage output.

Items

For a starting item, I buy a Doran's Ring, just for the Ability Power, health and mana regeneration.

For boots, I like playing him with high burst damage, so I buy Sorcerer's Shoes, for the magic penetration.

I now quickly build a quick Rod of Ages for the Ability Power, health and mana.

Now i start to get major AP items like Rabadon's Deathcap for the Ability Power.

I will also get Void Staff for the Ability Power and magic penetration.

I will also get Lich Bane for the mana and Ability Power, as with all other items.

Alternatively, you can get a Mejai's Soulstealer if you are doing good.

You can also sell your Doran's Ring for other Ability Power items like Morello's Evil Tome, or Will of the Ancients

Summoner Spells

I take Ignite and Flash.

- Flash:
This spell is one of the best spells, can be used as a offense or a defense spell.

- Ignite:
This spell is handy for cleaning up kills, because of the true damage it deals, and the regeneration debuff.

Other spells like Exhaust, Clarity or Ghost could work on fizz.

BUT... Spells like Smite, Revive, Surge, Cleanse, Clairvoyance Promote are NO, NO, NO!

Skill Sequence

Basically, I master Seastone Trident, then Playful/Trickster and then Urchin Strike. And as with ultimates, I get [[Chum the Waters at levels 6,11, and 16.

Or in other words,

At level 1, I take Seastone Trident

At level 2, I take Urchin Strike

At level 3, I take Playful / Trickster

At level 4, I take Seastone Trident

At level 5, I take Seastone Trident

At level 6, I take Chum the Waters

At level 7, I take Seastone Trident

At level 8, I take Playful / Trickster

At level 9, I take Seastone Trident

At level 10, I take Playful / Trickster

At level 11, I take Playful / Trickster

At level 12, I take Playful / Trickster

At level 13, I take Playful / Trickster

At level 14, I take Urchin Strike

At level 15, I take Urchin Strike

At level 16 I take Chum the Waters

At level 17, I take Urchin Strike

At level 18, I take Urchin Strike

Spell Combos

At Levels 3-4: This is where you will be aiming for first blood, so if you are within your target's range, you should get in range of Urchin Strike and strike them. Then Seastone Trident them AT LEAST 3 times, then Playful / Trickster them. If that doesn't finish them off, you Ignite them.

At level 6: Again, you should Urchin Strike them, then Seastone Trident them, but this time, you do not need to use Playful / Trickster them, but just use Chum the Waters to finish them.

From there on, you should go with the level 6 combo.

Farming

For farming, your move depends on how big the minion wave is, and how bunched up is it.

If it is loose and there is less than 5 minions, then you could use Seastone Trident

However, if there is over 7 minions, and they are all bunched up, you can use Playful / Trickster to kill them all at once if you have a lot of AP.

Lane Partners

In my opinion, Fizz's best lane partner is Alistar, because of his Pulverize and Headbutt.

Other possible partners could be a tank that has CC, like:

- Cho'Gath
- Maokai
- Rammus
