Hey, seems as usual the typical guide of an ADC champion and especially a typical build for Caitlyn... I am new to Caitlyn, and what I dislike about her is unlike Miss Fortune, she doesn't have a W that increases the attack speed. Anyways, can you please update the build in this guide to the new shop? :)

Hello there!

I was hopping around the site looking for guides to review (I am going to apply for a certain position). I will divide my review in two sections: content and aesthetics.

The aim of this review is so you can improve your guide, please don’t take it personal.

Content

Cheat sheet

There are two rune options in the cheatsheat (sorcery & inspiration), when do you take which? You might want to add that to the notes.
The cheatsheet just features core items/completed builds/situationals. What about things you buy on your first back and specific component items like Quicksilver Sash and Hexdrinker?
It might be a good idea to incorporate an item order in your cheatsheet, right now it seems like you build zerkers – edge – rapidfire – shiv. I am fairly certain that if stormrazer is build, it is build as a first item. I am also not a fan of building four crit items as a core since you might need situationals earlier in the game.
Bloodthirster is listed twice in the situational items.
I am a bit skeptical of the example builds, you simply repeat the core and then list a situational item. It might be a good idea to just list the situational item and add a note.
Also, your “vs CC” build just contains Mercurial Scimitar, might Mercury's Treads be a viable option here?
You placed some champs into the threats & synergy section, I am not a fan of these sections if they are not accompanied by explanations. You can add anything, from a fully fleshed matchup description, to just some tips or even a note of why these champs are hard/easy to play against.

Pros and Cons

Not much to say about this section, however, isn’t one of Caitlyn’s weaknesses that she is fairly immobile? Even though she has her net, if an assassin/bruiser gets on top of her it is almost impossible to get away unless you have Flash.

Runes

Again, when do you take inspiration & when do you take sorcery?
There is this lategame focused ADC build with Overheal and Legend: Bloodline. I don’t see a mention of that here however, do you know about it and what is your opinion about it?
Is Coup de Grace the only viable option in the last row or can Cut Down be a possible pickup against tanky team compositions? You mention that “the other options are good as well” in what scenario is taking Last Stand a good idea?

Combo’s

It is extremely hard to decipher the combo’s from the icons alone. It might be worth it to add gifs/video’s of the combo’s. This way it is easier to understand what the combo's actually look like.

Items

Now, a mistake that a lot of guide authors make is repeating what kind of stats & passives have in detail. It is okay to say that XX item slows so you can gun em down, but stating the exact % slow is unnecessary.
In the Rapid Firecannon description you talk a lot about Phantom Dancer... You also mention that “RFC is the offensive version of PD”. Does this mean that you build either RFC or PD?
The stormrazer description is not updated, the AD has been nerfed to 50 (another reason to avoid repeating item stats & passives since you don’t have to worry about those numbers because of patches)
In what case do you build Statikk Shiv? Right now it looks like it’s your nice-to-have-but-doesn’t-seem-to-be-exactly-useful item.
In what case do you build Phantom Dancer? I guess you get where I am going :p Make sure to explain in which case you get which item.
Where are Essence Reaver and Runaan's Hurricane? The former isn’t in your cheat sheet, but looking at probuilds.net it is build from time to time. The latter is featured in your cheatsheet, but lacks an explanation in this section.
The main issue with this section is that you don’t mention WHEN items should be build. Should you go infinity edge first? Stormrazer? Is it always worth to get 100% crit every game? When should you get more situational items?

Gameplay

I am confused, in your pros and cons you mention that Caitlyn’s midgame isn’t the best. Shouldn’t one of your goals be to get ahead so you can bridge your weaker midgame? I thought Caitlyn was one of those ADC champs that is quite good at getting some turret platings, shouldn’t acquiring those be a goal as well when pushing the enemy under their turret?
Instead of listing every thinkable combination of numbers in fights (2v3/3v2/3v3/3v4/4v3/4v4 fights) you can also simply call them “skirmishes”. Makes it easier to read.
In the late game you mention doing ½ or ¾ of a squishy champions health bar with your ult. I think this is a bit optimistic, if everyone is at full build there’s no way you’re doing that much damage with your ult. Doing this will only work if said champion has no lifesteal / spellvamp since they can heal the damage right back up otherwise.
There are images & explanations about trap usage littered through the gameplay sections, it might be a good idea to make a separate chapter/section about trap usage.

Tips & Tricks, Bonus and Closing Remarks

Caitlyn doesn’t have the longest autoattack range in the game anymore. Once the Aphelios nerfs hit he has a longer autoattack range with 2000 if the enemy has been marked with Calibrum
I think that the Tips & Tricks as well as the video’s in Bonus are completely misplaced. Tips &Tricks would be more at home in the Abilities section, the trap placement video can be placed there as well or in a separate section/chapter about trap placement and the video on combo’s is of course more at place in the combo section.
I feel like Lore sections are a bit unnecessary. If you wish you can add a link to Caitlyn’s biography page in the introduction but I would refrain from copy pasting the lore into the guide since it doesn’t really add anything.
Overall this is an okay guide that covers Caitlyn on a basic level. There is much more to this champion though, Caitlyn arguably has an extremely high skillcap due to the headshot autocancel mechanics. I think it is a bit sad to see that this mechanic is not mentioned at all in this guide, especially since that is what actually makes Caitlyn really good.

Aesthetics

This is a great guide about you have here snu***z!

I've been a big big fan of for a long time considering i've been a ADC main for a long time now. But i do have a question, why aren't you going instead of ? It gives a lot of different things that are really good for a . Especially considering the runes got pretty nerfed so they are pretty bad now compared to how they used to be before.

The extra attack damage you get from and , especially G.S. late game, is really nice. Regardless of nerfs you'll still be getting a lot of extra attack damage.

Inspiration secondary is nice because you can get free boots (or a free stopwatch) and extra sustain from Biscuit Delivery.

I think if you're playing against an easy/easier lane you should opt for extra damage, but if you're playing against a difficult lane you should go for extra sustain.

That's my 2 cents :)
