Hello guys, i'd like you firstly thank you for taking your time to look over my guide, this is a work in progress and will always be needing improvement as no guide is perfect.

This guide will walk you through a lot about how AP Shaco works and how each can be used to its biggest effect, it will also walk you through counters, runes, masteries, and ability ranking so you understand how Shaco works, especially if you are attempting to learn Shaco.

Flash is a good way of getting out of battles or chasing enemies, if you have no mana and no escape options this is your way out, it can also be used aggressively to chase an enemy or jump a wall they may have flashed over. This can be used in many ways and is a great utility which is best used on champions who also have other methods of escape.

Ignite is useful for stopping enemies from healing a lot, it also allows you to kill off an enemy that is low health without attacking. This can help a large amount against a champion that's heavily based off lifesteal, attack speed, spell vamp, or any method of healing (like Remove Scurvy) such as Gangplank, Tryndamere, Draven, Caitlyn, and many more.

Ability Explanation

• Backstab: This is Shaco's Passive, allowing him to deal 20% bonus damage to enemies from behind
• Deceive (Q): This allows Shaco to dissapear for 3.5 or until he attacks/casts an ability, good for escaping or getting behind enemies
• Jack In The Box (W): This is like a 1 minute ward that acts as a super minion. It is very destructive on an AP build and has a good cooldown at base, allowing up to 4 of them placed at a time at level 1
• Two-Shiv Poison (E): This ability throws one of Shaco's Shivs at an enemy, dealing a percentage of your AD and AP on hit and slowing the enemy, its bonus is much higher on AP (1:1).
• Hallucinate (R): This creates an explosive duplicate of Shaco, which both deals less damage, and takes more damage. Upon its death or after 18 seconds, this duplicate will explode, dealing large amounts of AP Based damage.

This ability ranking favors your Jack In The Box which is useful for escaping, warding, brush ganks, and high damage outputs, the Two-Shiv Poison is also deadly with a 1:1 AP Ratio, this skill ranking favoring it as well, your Deceive only has one rank early as there is no useful damage bonus on an AP Shaco and is just used to get away from enemies and switch brushes. The ultimate has a good AP Ratio and is always picked over every ability, this will allow you to control a duplicate that is deadly when exploded on an AP Shaco

This is your ideal build, and this will explain why:

• Lich Bane is one of the two most useful items for turning your AP into Basic Attack Damage, this is a must on any fighter champ building AP that cant spam abilities
• Berserker's Greaves allow you to put out more attacks on the target, this combos well with your Lich Bane, Nashor's Tooth, and your Guinsoo's Rageblade, Enchantment: Furor allows you to chase the enemies so they don't escape
• Rabadon's Deathcap is a must have items on all AP champions, it has a 120 AP Base and increases your overall AP by 30%
• Nashor's Tooth is a good Hybrid between Attack Speed and AP. This item grants you a large amount of attack speed as well as a good amount of AP to work with its passive, which turns your AP into Magic Damage
• Seraph's Embrace ( Archangel's Staff) works well with your Rabadon's Deathcap to increase your AP based on your Mana (3% of it), it also grants you 1000 Mana and 60 Ability Power which will help you keep in the teamfights
• Guinsoo's Rageblade is a good item for Hybrid AD and AP, which allows you to push out more basic attacks, as well as put down a good attack speed in combination with your Nashor's Tooth, this item works well with it.
