I love to play Ahri, I love to play support, so what can be better than playing your favourite champion on your favourite lane? In midlane she has a lot of counters, she has to be self reliant and all her carry potential can be ruined by one death. As support you don't have to always stay alive to do something! You can just go for important target in enemy team or take care of important target for enemies so they can't easy kill your carry. Sometimes even you can be carry if your team can't do anything! You're still midlane champ.
How to support as Ahri?
It's easy. You're just mobile Morgana. On lane try to get bush control for easy charms, make vision, poke enemies and roam if you can. Your early roams with your jungler or to help midlaner are very stong due to your cc and damage.
Later in game look for picks and take care of your carry whoever it is.
In teamfights You can stay backline and peel assassins off or go in with your R and Everfrost to slow and root enemies. Then just Charm important target and let your team finish them off or do it by yourself. Zhonya's Hourglass can be perfect item for this agressive playstyle! Bait enemies to attack you, charm them and use your Hourglass to let your team kill enemy.
Why Glacial?
Glacial is just realy funny keystone! Once you hit your E on enemies they can't deal their full dmg, can't easy run away after charm and helping teammate on glacial slows is just harder. Cosmic Insight keeps your Everfrost and charm on low cooldown, Biscuits can help you with mana or poke on lane.
It synergizes well with Everfrost and Rylai for even more slows and easier teamfights! You can also choose between free boots or stopwatch for faster items.
Anyway glacial is not only viable keystone for support ahri and sometimes it's not the best one to choose.
