Very tough matchup because of her late-game power. Put her behind as much as possible, ask your jungler for camp.

Champion Build Guide
Powerspike: Mid-Late Game Cons: Hard to master, passive dependent Why Irelia - Brief Introduction Irelia is an Mid-Late game champion able to defeat every and any threat if ahead. Has great outplay potential and her Ultimate Vanguard's Edge makes any champion that wants to escape to suffer more from slow and damage. |
Pros
|
+ Powerful late game + High sustain + High mobility + Enormous damage + Outplay potential |
Irelia can be very powerful mid-late game, and you can carry 1v9 games most times with her, doing incredible 1v5 pentas and other stuff. Can demolish most champions with ease and, if she ults more people at once, she can stack her passive pretty quickly. |
Cons
|
- Very easy gankable early - If you miss Q, you are actually dead in 99% of the cases. - Unable to escape easily without minion wave - High skillcap - Has 2 skillshots that if missed can change outcome to worse - Without her passive, she is weak |
Irelia, unfortunatelly, has very High Skillcap, so most of the people will do bad with her. She can not escape without her flash or suitable minion wave to dash to, so she can get ganked easily. Has 2 skillshots (E,R) that, if missed, can lose her the fight. |
|
Ionian Fervor (Passive): Irelia gains 1 stack of her passive for every ability that hits enemy champion, or last hitting - killing minions/epic monsters/ with Bladesurge. At full stacks, which is 5, she gains massive attack speed and deals bonus magic damage on hit. |
|
Bladesurge Q : Irelia's Bladesurge makes her able to dash to the opponent/minion and deals physical (+60% AD) damage and heals herself for % of her total AD. It deals bonus damage to minions. Cooldown resets if it kills target or if it consumes Mark. |
|
Defiant Dance W : Irelia's Defiant Dance makes her stand still, blades allinged around her and she recieves reduced damage for 50% (+7% per 100AP). Second casting makes her swipe her blades in the direction, dealing physical damage (+50% AD, +45% AP) and increases up to 100% based on channel time. |
|
Vanguard's Edge R : Irelia launches bunch of blades at the cursors location, and after hitting champion they split and form a spade-shaped perimiter. Initial hit deals magic damage (+70% AP) to all opponents, and opponents that go through those blades recieve magic damage (+70% AP) and are slowed for 90% for 1.5s. |

Never waste Defiant Dance, since you can sometimes survive because of it giving you reduced damage. You don't have to poke anyone with this ability. You can kill low-health running opponents because of it's range, but that's it.
Always throw Ultimate before Flawless Duet and remember to Dash and consume that mark from Ultimate.
My first champion, which I always played a lot, was, a surprise, Pantheon. I got to around 100k mastery points on old Pantheon, and another 100k on the new, post-rework Pantheon. That account is now, unfortunatelly, perma banned but that's another story.
Other champions I love to play are Irelia, Swain, Lucian, Soraka, Aatrox, etc...
