Hy my name is Daniel and this is my first guide and i think it will be not very good but please tell me what i can do better. I'm from germany so my english wont be the best also. I purchased lux as 1 of my first 10 champions and she got my main even if i dont play her dat often any more i still love how you can just Harras and burst so hard. I use these runes couse you will always have to be durable so i take MR runes.
The others are simply for biggest dmg and early kills. The magic penetration is good for late game and you will see they are worth it.

I use these masterys on nearly all ap carrys. 21/9/0 or 21/5/4 is also possible but i prefer 21/0/9 for the mana and the cdr.

How you see i get in my whole build a lot of magic penetration and cdr. Cdr is very important on lux. In late game you can cast your ultimate every 20 seconds and even the Tanks are like 50% dead couse the penetration. Lich Bane's passive and youre passive are together one of the most op combos in lol in my opinion. You can also take something else for lich but i really love this item couse you do even after all your spells are on their short cooldown a really great dmg and the enemis will hate you.

I first skill into my e becouse you dont have to place it perfectly but still does pretty hard dmg ( even aoe ) and it makes it easyer to farm. The q is very important couse you have the root and can hit all your other abilities without problems and pick up an easy skill. The w is the spell i skill last becouse you nee your dmg but the shield is usefull vs dots and so on.

While early / mid game just last hit and harras the enemi till hes low
Then finish him with your ulti or ignite

It is really important that you are there in Teamfights . you just can shield your whole team twice what makes it much tankier and then you do the high aoe dmg and your root. With this you can bind the adc " easyly "and pick him out of the teamfight . Your job is also to protect the adc in the way that you shield him and keep the enemis away couse he does if hes good farmed the biggest dmg. The perfect abiliti to kill lucker is your ulti but in teamfights you may not save it to kill fleing enemis you have to cast it at the beginning couse it can decide the whole teamfight.
