Runes

For runes I take AP Glyphs, seals and Quints. Armor and Magic penetration are good for you because you need to make tons of damage in second (I am feeling like a Phreak now!).

You can take magic resist or armor seals and full magic penetration marks

Masteries

21/9/0 Masteries are absolutely needable for Katarina. Katarina doesn't need mana so go to offense and defensive tree. If your enemy team is more damage based team, you can go 9/21/0 or if you are higher ranked player you can pop out 15/3/12 for a biscuit and ward.

Pros/Cons

Pros:
Good escape mechanism
If fed can lead to win
Great mid Game
Can dodge spells easily
Good farmer
Cons:
quite squishy
Get fed or feed...y champion (yes I am watching Troll Spotlight)
Needs tank to rule

Farming

Farming with Katarina is quite easy if you know how to farm with her. Best way to farm is throw Q and then W in the middle of minions.
