Introduction

Hi everyone! I'm Kwiick and welcome to my team guide: "A Still Perfect Team" In this guide I will describe what I bellive to be an effective team in 5vs5 game.

I created this team with my favorite champions for each positions at stake, but you can take any champion similar to each position. So this is just an exemple of a perfect team, but you have tons of ways.

Team Composition

For an effective team in game, you need :

A Jungler: The jungler gank lanes to give kills at the team, he gives buffs for those who need it in the team, and he takes team objetcives (drake and baron). The jungler allows the way of victory. Nocturne makes this work perfectly.

A solo top: You need a champ who can hold the top lane alone. It must be in general a Tank or Offtank. Shen makes this work perfectly.

An AP&AD carry: To kill enemies, you need a lot of damages, and damages of all kinds otherwise the ennemies build only magic resisit or only armor depending on your king of attacks to kill easily your enemies. Brand&Ashe make this work perfectly.

A support: You need a support to protect your carries and have a support across the map (wards, Clairvoyance, oracle, retain the respawn time of team objetives) Janna makes this work perfectly. Shen can support too with his taunt and ultimate to cover your carries.

To finish you need a Tank: You need a tank to tower dives and first to enter in teamfight to make the enemies attack him first so your carries can attack in safety. Shen&Noctunre make this work perfectly.

So Noctunre in the jungle, Shen solo top, Brand mid, Janna and Ashe bot lane.

With the team that I propose I offer you the advantage that you have one tank/solo top with a little of AP damages (Shen), an Offtank/Jungler with a little of AD damages (Nocturne), one AD carry (Ashe), one AP carry (Brand) and one support (Janna). It offers a very balanced team in utilities and kinds of damages.

For the team control, you have 2 stuns (Ashe&Brand), 1 taunt (Shen), 1 fear (Nocturne) and lot of slows (Ashe&Janna) and a good movement speed with Janna's passive so the enemies can't escape you easy.

If you want to make a good team with other champions I recommend:

- 2 tank or offtank, 1 AP and 1 AD in jungle and solo top, (exemple: Amumu AP jungle, Irelia AD Top or Shyvana AD jungle, Mordekaiser AP solo top)
- 1 AP Carry (exemple: Kassadin, Anivia)
- 1 AD Carry (exemple: Caitlyne, Sivir)
- 1 Support (exemple: Taric, Soraka)

Team Summoner's Spell

Flash: This is hands-down the best summoner spell in the game. Its multitude of uses in a variety of situations make it indispensable as an escape mechanism. This is the first summoner spell pick on all my champs.

Smite: This spell is absolutely necessary in a team. If you don't have a champ with smite in your team, you risk to lose all team objetcives (drake&baron). Not having smite in you team is a good way to lose game...

Exhaust: This spell is important in a team. It helps you to control teamfight. You can neutralize a dangereous enemy or an enemy who tries to escape.

Ignite: This spell allows to kill easily an enemy. This spell reduces the effectiveness of heall of the target enemy.

Clairvoyance: This spell helps your team to prevent the enemy ganks, assist the warding and allows to chek out drake or baron when your wards turn off or get destroyed by your ennemies.

Heal: This spell saves alliers in poorly. Its good to use it on the AD Carry which may be more focus on.

Concerning the exhaust, the new meta says to put it on support, I prefer to put it on my solo top which facilitates ganks top and anyway the combo Ashe&Janna slowed enough enemies. you do what you want, but I like that takes me there and why I do not agree with the meta exhaust on support is good but that but it sacrifice the Clairvoyance that is too used to that I sacrifice.

Team Warding

Vision ward is important on team objectives because you can be sure ennemies have wards here. Its dangerous to start a team objetive without being assured that the enemies don't see you unless you make an ace or your enemies are across the map.

Your support have to ward but he can't always ward all the map and not always in place or money to buy wards. So all players in the team must warding.

Team Objectives & Buff

TEAM OBJECTIVES

Initial Spawn: 15:00 Respawn Time: 7:00

This is the most important team objective! When u kill it, all your team have the baron buff and it makes your team much more powerful. More it gives 300 gold has all the players on your team.

Initial Spawn: 2:30 Respawn Time: 6:00
This team objective is important. It give 190 gold for all players in your team

BUFF CARRIERS

Initial Spawn: 1:55 Respawn Time 5:00

After the first jungle route of your junglers, the Blue Buff is for the AP Carry that needs mana and the Red Buff is for the most DPS champ of your team (which is usually the AD Carry or the jungler)

More details on Nocturne

Nocturne is a fast jungler and a great ganker. With respect to this team composition, Nocturne must gank, tank and manage team objectives with the smite. Build him a Wriggle's Lantern and defensive items.

PROS
Fast Jungler

Nocturne is my main, my favourite champ and I'm a jungler so i think I can help you regarding this champ and this position of game. For more informations about Nocturne check out my Nocturne Jungle guide: "Who's here? DARKNESS!"

PROS

- fast jungler
- great ganker
- good to counter jungle
- good jungle sustainability

CONS

- easy to counter with armor
- often focused
- not lot of CC

More details on Shen

Shen is my favourite solo top champ and a very good tank which can be available everywhere because of his ultimate. His taunt protect well the team in teamfights and he can dive easy. A dive of Nocturne on which Shen will make his ultimate can be very effective.
Build him defensive items for dive and tank easily.

PROS

- has very useful skills to support allies
- amazing survivability
- can pop up everywere on the map fast and easy

CONS

- low damages
- the shield doesn't absorb as much damage as the AP Shen
Back to Top

More details on Brand

Brand is my favourite AP champ an very dangerous carry. It is one of the best for the mid lane. He deal amazing damages and he have a stun. His ultimate is very dangerous in teamfights especially if he uses it when Shen taunt many enemies.
Build him only AP items. Rabadon's Deathcap and Will of the Ancients work very good on him.

PROS

- Deal super damages with ridiculous combo
- Stun

CONS

- Often focused
- Long cooldowns

More details on Janna

Janna is my favourite support and in my opinion the best one if you play well. With Ashe and their spells, its impossible to escape them and very hard to hurt them without range. Janna can cover an ally with her shield, slow an ennemy and put his tornado to incapacitate enemies for a short time. Her ultimate can be terrible in teamfights if he is well placed. You can separate the entire enemy team this will allow you to focus that you want and this give a lot of life has your team.

To ward easily the map, you must build Philosopher's Stone, Heart of Gold and Kage's Lucky Pick that will give you gold. You need it absolutly because you let the whole farm to your AD carry.
Build Aegis of the Legion and Shurelya's Reverie to support better your team.
You need cooldown reduction in you rune page, masteries and stuff.

PROS

- shield with AD increase
- can interupt ultimates easy
- can protect turret
- CC

CONS

- low mana sustain at early
- needs a lot of practice
- needs a summoner with fingers and a brain
Back to Top

More details on Ashe

Ashe is only AD Carry I play. I'm a bad AD Carry player but I play Ashe correctly.
In early game you must play her safe. You can't take advantage with her. Just be content to farm the support will protect you. She has a similar spell as the Clairvoyance which is usefull, she slows hard the enemies that would try to escape. She has an amazing ultimate stun which can be a hard place but very effective.

Build her only AD expet that I recommend one Guardian Angel.

PROS

- has a soft CC permanently (Frost shot)
- ulti is great for initiates, hard CC
- enemy's find it hard to escape if low
- hawkshot reveals enemys in bushes/anything in its path

CONS

- low damage at the start
- very little defense options
