Hi, this is my first guide and it's not goin to be the best so bare with me
I am just gold III and i know my opinion is not a "FACT" so please be advised.
So, i really like Lucian's kit. He's a marksman that work in different ways depends on the build. This guide will show you my build and my style of play with this guy

Pros :
+ Strong Laning Phase
+ Good team fighter
+ Gap closer and escape
+ High Damage
Cons :
- Ult damage is lower than auto attacks
- No utility
- Low range

Runes you can look up at the top to see the setup. It's quite standard for all Marksman and work wonders on Lucian

This is exactly what Sneaky's guide says so imma give you the same cause i just think there is no other way of explaining Lucian's ability different

(Passive) Lightslinger
Double auto attack that procs off of all abilities. Does less to champions and more to minions. This can also crit.

(Q) Piercing Light
Cooldown: 9/8/7/6/5 seconds
Piercing Light is used mainly to deal damage to enemies in a line. You can also use Lucian’s Q to farm and deal damage to the enemy at the same time. A big part of winning the lane with Lucian is aiming this at the creeps to hit the enemy behind them. You can get it to hit the enemy champion behind them for free damage without any retaliation. Follow up Qs with an auto attack on the enemy for great damage.

(W) Ardent Blaze
Cooldown: 14/13/12/11/10 seconds
Ardent Blaze is used to chase or get away from enemies as its main utility. It also procs your passive which can be combined with auto attacks for sustained burst damage. You can use Ardent Blaze, then ultimate on the enemy to chase/catch up from a really far distance.

(E) Relentless Pursuit
Cooldown: 18/17/16/15/14 seconds
Use Relentless Pursuit to chase, start a fight, dodge a skillshot, jump over walls, or run away. This gets refreshed as you weave your auto attacks with your passive.

(R) The Culling
Cooldown: 100/75/50 seconds
Basically the only time you should use your ultimate is when you’re out of range for auto attacks, if turning/stopping for an auto would kill you, or if you want to get the Lightslinger proc. At all points in the game, Lucian’s ultimate does less damage than auto attacking and using your abilities. You can also cast Ardent Blaze right before your ultimate to get a speed boost for chasing or running.

(Early Game)
In laning phase you want to try and use your Piercing Light (Q) on the enemy through the creeps as much as possible. Every time you Q, follow it up with an auto attack for huge damage. Try to back off immediately after so the enemy can't return with damage of their own. Try not to spam Ardent Blaze (W) at all unless you use it to win a trade or finish an enemy off.

(Mid Game)
You should mainly use your Relentless Pursuit (E) to go backwards unless the enemy is really low or out of range, and you can finish them off by going forwards with it. A good usage on enemies that are alone or are guaranteed to lose a fight is to E in first to get in range then weave your spells and finish them off. This guarantees that your E will be up again after Q and W weaving.

Push out whatever lane you're in as much as possible and group with your team. This will usually catch a lot of people off guard and get you free kills.

(Late Game)
Late game is where you become a monster. The enemy team has to dive you but has an extremely hard time actually finishing you off. You can use The Culling (R) to zone off the enemy team from objectives (mainly turrets). Try to remember that as long as you live, you basically win the fight. You'll want to be grouped as much as you can at this stage.

All and all, Lucian is amazing. I climb from Gold V all the way to Gold I last season using him so i hope you'll enjoy him as much as i do
