Introduction
Hey there, since it's Lulu free week, I want to introduce you to something I enjoy doing with her, jungling !
I play her with tons of attack speed, because Pix also deals damage, allowing you to deal stronk and mixed damages !
Please don't be that guy saying "omg lulu jungle imma dodge", it's really strong and has an amazing utility in team fight while still doing some pretty good damages.
YES I SAID DAMAGES, many people don't believe me until I win an 1v1 with the enemy carry.
Lore TL;DR : you're a pretty weird yordle with cool magical powers.
PS: I hope I didn't make many mistakes, english is not my native language ^^
Pros
+ SO MUCH FUN
+ Amazing CC, rendering ganks pretty successful
+ Underestimated, allowing you to easily bait for a kill
+ KickAss ultimate which can overturn a whole team fight
SPACE
Cons
- Better flame Lulu jungle if you lose, even when you are the best player in your team
- Needs blue until you grab the philosopher's stone
- You're a yordle, like Teemo
Obviously, you take your ultimate at level 6,11 and 16 !
Maxing Glitterlance by level 9 allows you to have a quite great damage output, but also a 80% slow for 2 seconds.
Moreover, you can land pretty amazing slows by using Help, Pix! on an ally and then activating Glitterlance, allowing you to manage landing your slow.
Then we max her e, Help, Pix! because of the damage/tankyness allowed.
Don't forget than when you cast it on an enemy, it will grant you vision for a few seconds, so it's an amazing utility when ganking top lane for example and the enemy tries to brain you.
Eventually, we max Whimsy for a longer polymorph. A 2 sec hex is really powerful coupled with a 2 sec slow, so late game you have great crowd control !

OFFENSE TREE :
I like to go for attack speed with 4 points in Fury , then taking the bonus ad in Deadliness , for eventually taking double penetration with Weapon Expertise and Arcane Knowledge .
Since you deal mixed damage, it will help you early on by dealing damage with your auto attacks, with pix auto attacks, and your spells.
DEFENSE TREE :
Take Bladed Armor , 3 points in Hardiness , the smite upgrade, and veteran's scar, it will help you cleaning the jungle early game, and free gold is always welcomed.
UTILITY TREE :
You're jungling, so Runic Affinity is a must have ! In order to get it, take Improved Recall , buff MS of Wanderer , last one is up to you !
This is what I like to take, but if you'd rather build a tanky 0/21/9 or even a 21/0/9, go for it. Jungle masteries rely on your gameplay, whether you're more an agressive guy or a better farm guy.
Pretty standard runes for an attack speed jungler :
9 * Greater Mark of Attack Speed : It will allows you to clean faster, deals more damage and kite with red early on, later with frozen.
9 * Greater Seal of Armor : Must have on almost every jungler, you don't want to jungle at level 1 with 20 armor.
9 * Greater Glyph of Magic Resist : A bit of tankyness is always good, and it might save your *** when ganking mid or getting counter jungled by Amumu or Fiddlesticks, etc...
3 * Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed : Since they nerfed boots, this allows you to gank more easily without having to buy boots, and even more easily after buying some. You also avoid losing much time while walking from one camp to another.
Strongest :
Since you're jungling, you need that. I'd like to remind you that this is picked for securing buffs, not only for dealing damages on then early on ! |
SPACE |
A strong choice. Can be use offensively and defensively. See it more like a counter-flash pick. |
SPACE |
It's a really nice option, you still can close onto the enemies who flashed and still kill them by aa, if you have red or consider building Phage it's even better. |
Other viable choice
SPACE |
Nice ganking utility, but you'll lose an escape tool. |
SPACE |
Can be a good choice if you're afraid of dying in the junglezzzzzzz. |
The others are useless for you !
Therefore, I recommend building a lot of AS while focusing on durability and jungling.
BASIC BUILD :
Item Sequence
That's pretty much the best basic build you can have while jungling with Lulu.
From here, you can decide whether you'd like to buy on-hit items, or just more attack speed, or even just focus on durability and a supportive role.
SPECIAL MENTION TO philosopher's stone :
It gives you gold and a really nice regen while jungling. Coupled with a wriggle it gives you all the sustain you need in the jungle, while giving you gp10 !
Since you'll probably give the second blue to your midlaner, you need that mana regen. If you're not going for a philosopher's stone, you'd better buy a Spirit Stone instead of a Wriggle's Lantern.
CORE BUILD :
Item Sequence
Sunfire Aegis is one of the best item when jungling. Gives you armor, health and damage. WHAT ELSE ? (Insert George Clooney here).SPACE
Wriggle's Lantern allows you to clean faster, also providing you cheap sustain and armor. Can be replaced though by a Spirit Stone, but since I usually rush a philosopher's stone, I don't.
SPACE
Zephyr is one of the best items for Lulu as. Gives you tons of attack speed, CDR, and tenacity. AWESOME
SPACE
Phage is a strong item, gives you hp, ad and what you really want, a slow on your auto-attack. You can elvolve it into Frozen Mallet or Trinity Force, as you prefer.
SPACE
Runaan's Hurricane gives you a really strong attack speed, and it's funny to see all your auto attacks with pix+hurricane :D
Defensive items :
Well since right now health counters everything, you can pick it, but I'd rather go for a Frozen Mallet + Sunfire Aegis
This can allows you to land your combos if you failed at before or got focused really hard (who knows, you might be overfed :D)
Another good option, but require better placement skills
Late game items
Scales great with your AS, build it in order to replace your Wriggle's Lantern.
I gave it a try, and i gotta say that this is quite good, sure pick against an heavy ap team. On an on-hit focused build, buy it instead of Runaan's Hurricane.
Boots Upgrade
Enchantment : Furor AMAZING for kiting and auto attacking
Enchantment : Homeguard Great item if you have to regen quickly, allows you to go jungle faster.
Alternative items :
I found it situational, but with an on-hit build can works.
If you wan to have more attack speed and a ap, don't pick Zephyr and go for this ! Good on Lulu
zeke's herald Want to help your team while having as and a bit more of cooldown reduction ? This is for you.
I won't buy it, but well, it's up to you !
I'd appreciate your feedback for this section !
- Try to have the first blue smiteless, it will save you a lot of time and will allow you to gank lanes at lvl3 when they still are 2.
- Grab n°1, then blue, then rush red.
- After n°3 you should be able to gank mid, so just do it !
- If you'd better gank top/bot, you also can, as you like.
- It should get you at least a flash burn, or in better cases the first blood.
The point is to only farm the wraiths and the wolves, golems are really situational like if you have to wait before a gank. Try to do them either when you have your Wriggle's Lantern or your Smite up and no buff is up.
