Nice job on your strat. I can see your reasoning for what you do. My only change is the sequence in skills.. at least for me. I go Q E R E and watch them vaporize. To each there own though :)

Thank you for all your input, I have taken it all in account.

Big changes to both masteries and items. 3 points in Mental Force instead of Brute Force since I have gotten so used to last hitting creeps with Lux that I find Butcher is a sufficient enough boost to auto-attacks.

Made big changes to starting items and have now included Crystalline Flask as one of the choices after S3 additions.

Decided to remove Nashor's Tooth from core items and replaced it with Void Staff. After the 5% cdr nerf along with 100+ Lux games I don't find it as appealing anymore. The HP changes to the jungle creeps also make Nashor's Tooth less useful as you now need to use 3/4 spells instead of 2 to clear camps. I will still pick it up occasionally but alot less frequently. You need to start building it at a pretty crucial time in the game during which a faster Lich Bane is more useful.

Added Morellonomicon as a replacement for Athene's Unholy Grail if you are up against sustain champions with high HP regeneration.

Included a chapter where I go more in depth on the different tips and tricks you can use with Lucent Singularity along with tips on how to make the biggest use from Lich Bane.

Thank you all, I hope you have more constructive criticism along with suggestions to what I should include. //Humvoffla out

Lets put two things straight here.

First of all: Nashor's Tooth is the TOP COST EFFECTIVE AP item, even overshooting Doran's Ring by a lot. Do the math, you pay 73% less gold than investing into raw stats (compared to 64% on a Doran's Ring). So no one should ever pretend that Tooth is a bad item, it is not anymore, it belongs to the top, 3rd place acctually only surpassed by Wriggle's Lantern and Guinsoo's Rageblade.

The other point is that Attack speed (AS) is wasted on Lux. Period. Or not ? For someone arguing that Brute Force >> Mental Force that's a bit steep. Auto-attack damage is part of every champion's arsenal, regardles of long or short range, of AD or AP builds. 50% increase in Auto-Attack DPS is therefore never ever wasted. Arguably its not as good on Lux as on a full build Ashe, but it is not for nothing. Now the interesting thing is. Even IF it were wasted, the tooth is still superior to most AP items like Needlessly Large Rod or Haunting Guise when neglecting AS. Thats a fact.

To summerize: Allthough AS is not very effective on Lux, Nashor's Tooth still rivals lesser AP items in cost efficiency and ultimately its a slot filled with valuable stats. Alltough Morellonomicon (36% less gold for the stats) will provide roughly the same, late game it wont matter as the difference in gold is negligeable and only the solid stats matter. The discussion about Nashor's efficiency on Lux is led without solid proof.

The comunity says its bad and will downvote any guides that use it regardles of its real value. Stand up for the truth or bend yourself to the irrelevant propaganda of countles idiots.

Also some of your matchups are wrong. Leblanc loses to Lux. Anivia isnt exactly high mobility and galio wont kill you.

Do that and you have my upvote. Also, Brute Force >> Mental Force

Actually Swain is quite hard countered by lux, I've done it before without ignite by building a tome multiple times.

Complete bs. Its a farm lane if they both play well. Swain has a better mid- and late- imo. Also he builds tanky so you cant burst him down. He is a hard matchup

Like you said, I don't like Nashor's Tooth one bit on this. You overshoot the cap because the CDR is too much. You only get 60 AP, and only about 80% of the CDR you get is actually used when you have blue buff. Your alternatives are Deathfire Grasp and Athene's Unholy Grail, which I believe already give 15% each. So 15% from either one plus blue buff and masteries gets you really close to the cap. If you don't have control over blue buff just get Elixir of Brilliance. Compared to the 2700g or whatever that you spend on Nashor's, 250g for the same effect over 4 minutes is nothing to sneeze at.

+1 for effort. Good luck.

Sure the Nashor's Tooth is a waste of gold if you are going just for the CDR, but it has other uses as well. After playing a few games with it, I have found it useful in team fights when I can proc Lux's passive faster, after all, her passive is a fairly strong source of damage. Is it the ideal item for Lux? Not sure yet, I would have to test it, but honestly if this build didn't have it in there, it would be like every other Lux guide around. So it's nice to see a different build and try something new out.

For me, i'm pretty agree with psiguard, Nashor's tooth is an enormous waste of gold. if you really want cd reduction, do what psiguard said.

Pretty solid guide, and I enjoyed the build. I never had tried a Nashor's on Lux and I must say it worked better than I thought it would. The only thing I would add to your guide would be an explination of skills and maybe some tips to use them cleverly. Like it would seem obvious that Lucient Singularity would give vision, but I often don't see Lux players use it to check bushes. After you stack some CDR, it has a short cool down and I can't say how many times checking bushes with that has saved my butt.

Thank you IlliterateWaffle, I'm happy you gave Nashor's a shot, it does work doesn't it? I thought about explaining the skills more in detail and I will probably do that in the upcoming days. You are absolutely right- you can use your skills in very clever ways, using it to grant vision when you team is blind etc. I will surely include a chapter or note on that in the next update, cheers!
