I've done quite well with this build. I know we're supposed to include runes, but I never needed to buy any since I still win without them. I have 20k to spend on runes if I ever need that boost.

Lane, play defensively (don't stray too far from safety), stick with your team for team fights, and harass with Sapling Toss. If the other team loves turret hugging, chuck a Sappling at them and keep repeating. Your Sapplings can't be targeted by the turrets. They're also quite useful for checking bushes for enemies hiding in them or as a scout at a choke point.

Initiate the fight with W, follow up with Q, next R towards the direction they're most likely to flee (make sure your in the Maelstrom too), then chuck E at them, and finally toggle R off for the kill most of the time. Repeat the combo.

In team fights, I usually initiate the fight with the combo above. If I have blues, I leave R on as necessary if we're all bunched up. I toggle it off for the kill(s) or if it's no longer needed. If I'm targeted, I run out of the fight, let the other team target my homies, run back into the fight and use W on the person that can easily be killed, then continue repeating the above combo.

- Quite handy to push/defend lanes or to join a fight.
- Chasing followed up with W if you get the chance. Fleeing or making your character get to wherever it needs to go quick.

Never messed with them yet. Someday I will take a look. Pick whatever.

I never bothered changing my masteries between games and this works for me. If anything, I probably would've dumped most of the points in defense and utility.

I don't buy the complete items till later, instead I buy specific items.

Here's my buy order:

1. Start with Meki Pendant and 2 Mana Potion.

2. Boots and Fiendish Codex.

3. Mercury's Trends.

4. Ruby Crystal then Catalyst the Protector.

5. Chain Vest then Glacial Shroud.

6. Chain Vest then Guardian Angel.

7. Rod of Ages

8. Frozen Heart

9. Morello's Evil Tome

10. Game is usually over by now. If I have a nice AP team with me I buy Abyssal Mask. I sometimes go for Rabadon's Death Cap or Zhonya's Hourglass to have some fun with stasis if they keep jumping you.

Other useful items:

Banshee's Veil if their is a Karth or Ashe playing.

A build is only as good as you are with the character. Harass when you can, initiate fights only when your team is with you or your certain that the guy is alone and that you can take them. The way I built him is self-explanatory. I'm sure you can figure out the usefulness of each item.
