Not Updated For Current Season
This guide has not yet been updated for the current season. Please keep this in mind while reading. You can see the most recently updated guides on the browse guides page
Experienced Jax players will give you problems. Shut him down early by either invading (His dodge/stun will be annoying but if you just get him while he's low while doing blue or red you should be fine). Don't try to 1v1 him until you are somewhat built up though, unless invading. Otherwise, he will will win.
Sejuani
Just invade Sejuani. She's free kills early game.
Shaco
Shaco is annoying but very squishy. He may give you some trouble early game if he invades but by no means will he be shutting you down if you have half a brain.
Trundle
Trundle is one of the strongest duelists early game. Take safe JG routes and you should be okay.
Udyr
Don't invade. Just don't. Unless you're in low elo, he will be hell for you until you have at least berzerker greaves and blade of the ruined king. Even then he will be a bit strong against you. Late game though, you should destroy him in a 1v1.
Rek'Sai
Rek sai is strong and a bit slippery. Keep areas warded and try to focus him when he tried to gank top or mid lane.
Nocturne
Nocturne is a strong early - mid game champ. You can invade him before he's level 3 and he won't have his E but he has very good clear time so he may already be on crows or wolves (Depending what side of the map you are on obviously). His w grants attack speed and is a shield. If the nocturne is smart he will use his shield when you use your q to negate any damage. This does make him something of a tough foe. Get him while he's low and trying to do his first clear and shut him down early or just farm like hell to beat him late game.
Malphite
Maw of Malmortius and it's an easy fight. Wouldn't engage much unless you're invading early. Try to take his blue buff away from him often.
Skarner
Don't bother invading. He'll have both his shield, hella increased attack speed, and his spammable q to constantly deal damage. Not worth it. Skarner's E is a slow. If he melees you it becomes a stun. Try to separate yourself until just before he hits you and q him. It'll help you avoid being stunned. Don't fight him under his crystal and try to take his crystals away from him at all times. It will help team fights and it will slow down Skarner's farm. Steal skarner's jungle as often as you can.
Vi
Vi is a huge B!@ch early game. Beware of her invasions. She does a ton more damage than you do. Vision, vision, vision against a vi.
Nidalee
Nid is pretty squishy early on so just invade her. If she wards a wall in the beginning of the game, BEWARE. Save your smite to actually kill your monster or she WILL throw a spear at it. (Yes it has happened to me before)
Jarvan IV
I haven't faced Jarvan against Yi yet. I can imagine armor pen is the way to go though.
Rengar
Beware, beware, BEWARE of the invasions. Wards wards wards. Do NOT let Rengar get any leverage. Don't walk up to "Suspected" bushes without using a farsight ward. He can be a bit slippery cause of his ult. If rengar goes to walk into a bush while you are chasing him, you should probably W because he will be jumping out at you. If the bush is warded, Q him and stay in that bush.
Pantheon
His passive will **** you up. Be on the alert. He most likely won't invade you as his clear isn't that good. Just be extremely cautious. Build up armor pen for when he actually does try to **** you up. If you're low hp, don't try to run from him. He will either leap and stun you or throw his spear at you. Just do as much damage as you can and hope someone else can pick up the slack.
Lee Sin
Lee sin is slippery, that's the real problem. He can get away with a kick just as easily as he can engage. Really, you shouldn't die to Lee unless by some cheeky method of course, and you won't be able to kill him easily, unless he's bad of course.
Xin Zhao
Xin Zhao recently received an incredible buff to make him stronger in the late game. Now, every third auto attack gives a pretty good chance at a crit strike and his W also scales with AD. So, Xin is strong enough to beat you in a 1v1 IF he is ganking lanes and consistently getting the kills. BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE! Now Xin's E has a consistent cooldown of 12 seconds instead of scaling down from 14 seconds initially. This means his early game is even stronger now! So, either shut this Xin down early, farm like hell, or gank lanes and get someone fed to help deal with this new menace.
Dr. Mundo
Mundo is weak af early game. Simply invade once you hit lvl 2 and wreck him. Just constantly harass him and get ez kills. It'll make his late game much weaker and obviously you'll be strong af.
Volibear
Volibear's passive is annoying but he's really just a big furball that has a lot of health. You can try to invade and kill him once you hit level 2. Probably won't due to his passive, but he will be very low hp. You can counter him by bringing ignite and once his passive starts ignite him. Save your Q for when he flashes. Don't walk near the turret line with him around of you will probably be thrown into the turret and get at least 2 turret hits.
Leona
Everything in Leona's Kit hates you. She'll probably build a Frozen heart against you. You can invade early on but avoid targeting her. if the situation arises where you do need to 1v1 her, make sure you have armor pen. Otherwise, it'll be a long game.
Kayle
Kayle's like a bug that you can just squash repeatedly in the jungle. Destroy her with invasions constantly and don't wait for when she gets level 6. Her shield is brief, but it's enough. Kayle's real powerspike comes when she starts building attack speed. Specifically, Nashor's tooth. I wouldn't 1v1 her at this point, unless you got a huge lead on her.
Fiddlesticks
Fiddlesticks is just annoying. His silences and heal make you wanna cry, but just build a maw or malmortius OR Merc scimitar for the debuff and MR. (If the team has a lot of cc/silences you may be better off with the merc scimitar)
Graves
After the recent nerfs to Graves, you can easily invade and wreck him. You can easily 1v1 him at pretty much any point of the game, as long as he's not fed to oblivion of course.
Olaf
Don't Invade. Wait until your build is closer to being done to challenge him. He's tanky af and can trade off just as much damage as you can.
Jhin
Invade and destroy him. He's squishy and is really just free kills for you.
Sion
Don't invade or challenge him until you at least hit level 6. He will trade away most of the damage you do to him. He will stun you. He will utterly wreck your face when he dies.
Evelynn
Very squishy early on. Shut her down asap and ward literally everything. Most of the time people see Eve is when it's already too late.
Shyvana
Shy is strong in the jungle. She can gank exceptionally well. She clears fast. You can invade, but you'll probably only waste her flash. Probably best to just ward areas and be aware/ready to stop a gank and hopefully land a kill on her.
Nunu & Willump
You just won't kill nunu until you're fully built. He won't kill you either though so just take his jungle as often as possible.
Amumu
This tanky little SOB isn't very strong early but he will scale very well into late game. He will try to gank a lane when he's level 3 so ward up and be prepared to be there to help your laners or invade and get him. Once against, armor pen up against this crybaby.
Blitzcrank
More or less a warning to ward/save smite for whatever beast you start at, or blitz may grab it and take the xp.
Gragas
Gragas has had some recent buffs. I'll update this guide in the future when I do face him.
Tryndamere
Ez kill. Harass him before level 6. Bringing ignite to counter his healing.
Poppy
This mf literaly just builds to counter you. The odds of you dying to her? Not great. But the odds of you killing her? Either early or late. Don't get sucked into a 2v2 against her if you're facing two somewhat tanky champs, because you guys just won't win.
Renekton
Renekton doesn't have good enough sustain to really Jungle well. He can do his first clear at ease, but he'll be low while doing it. It'd be best to just wreck him asap.
Nautilus
Shut him down/Harass him a lot early. Steal his jungle. Make him fall off. It will give the enemy team a weaker team fight in the long run.
Rammus
Fk this guy man. He will dominate you at all times. Farm/gank lanes often and avoid facing off against him, especially if he has a thornmail.
So this guide is more or less just a basic guide on how to hypercarry. I talk a lot about invasions and whatnot, and there are ways to go about that. I'll be adding that to this guide eventually.
