Nidalee is a super fun champion to play because the huge amount of utility and damage she brings to the fields of justice. She can heal, increase attack speed, reveal wards, scout bushes, long rage snipe, and farm minions very effectively. I play a very active and spammy Nidalee due to her 6 skills rather than most champions that only have 4. This guide is based on a safer gameplay however, due to the early health and the lack of a Mejai's Soulstealer which should be in almost any AP carry's inventory.

I find my rune choice to be very standard, and it is a rune build i use on nearly every champion. I see allot of guides that require super weird runes like Greater Glyph of Clarity that noone has. I dedicate my runes to something that most people have such as:

Marks:
Greater Mark of Insight
Greater Mark of Desolation Greater Mark of Desolation

Seals:

Greater Seal of Evasion
Greater Seal of Fortitude

Glyphs:

Greater Glyph of Warding
Greater Glyph of Potency
Greater Glyph of Focus

Quintessences:

Greater Quintessence of Fortitude

A different combination of these runes can be used on EVERY champion in this game. Personally i prefer health since i don't think runes make a significant difference except for the early game.

CORE BUILD:

are subject to opinion if they are the best choice. If the enemy team has allot of stuns and slows Mercury's Treads might be a better option. And if you really want to you could go for the Sorcerer's Shoes as well picking up that extra damage. Being that this is a safe build i find that Nidalee is very good at escaping enemies by spamming Bushwhack / Pounce and the added speed just makes this even better.

is really an obvious choice since Nidalee does not have any stun or slow. The item also gives you that extra health which is critical to staying alive since you will be in close combat most of the time. There really is no debating this item.

This item is just as amazing. The extra movement speed makes you EVEN faster and along with your passive you will be charging through bushes at the speed of justice. Since Nidalee is a very spammy character you will also be able to use that extra damage you get after using an ability very effectively.

This is a very cost effective item for the bonuses it gives you. Your Bushwhack / Pounce in Aspect Of The Cougar can be used to sustain 8 stacks of this item indefinitely so you will always have the full benefit of the item.

SITUATIONALS:


This is one of my favorite items just because it's something safe to get on nearly every champion. You can never go wrong with extra health magic resist and a spell block every 30 seconds. This can save you from Requiem Trueshot Barrage Noxious Trap Finales Funkeln and all kinds of other things.

This is a phenomenal tank item all around. If you have a really good score and you don't want to give up that extra gold for your enemies, this could potentially save you. Especially if you feel like initiating in a team fight.

A ton of AP for your cash. I would only suggest this to experienced Nidalee players simply because she is targeted quite quickly.

I usually get this item just because of the massive AP benefit it gives, this should really be a core item but sometimes you might want to rush your Banshee's Veil first if you aren't doing so hot.

USAGE:

Is a great scouting tool. I throw one of these down whenever i have spare mana in a nearby bush that is heavily trafficked. If playing in a solo lane these can be put in the middle pathway to prevent any surprise from enemy jungler's or gankers in general. This can also be used to reveal invisible players and wards.

This is your main nuke. It takes some practice to get used to but eventually you'll get it down. Just remember to lead your targets, and also make sure there is a clear path because minions are not afraid to take one to the face. If hit at max range this spell will usually take off 50% or more of the enemy's health unless its someone like or .

Don't be afraid to constantly switch between human form and cougar form. Using your entire combo on 2 or 3 minions is perfectly acceptable unless there is a team fight going on. These skills cost nothing so use them as often as you can. The more skill you use, the more scared your enemy is of you.
