Introduction

Hello. Ever since I started playing League of Legends, Wukong has always been my favorite champion. He is based off of the god Sun Wukong and alot of characters in certain media is based off this god. For example, Goku from Dragonball and Jin Mo Ri from God of Highschool which is a Manhwa. The sheer ability to juke with Wukong is very impressive and can be played many different ways. I usually play him like a bruiser which I think is the most effective playstyle.

Pros/Cons

Pros:
- Strong Burst Damage
- Can shred enemy's really quickly
- Works well together with Yasuo's Ultimate
- Great juke potential
- Snowballs really hard
- Is a God
- Still useful if falls off

Cons:
- Harder for him to take out tanks than squishies
- Becomes focus if snowballing
- Not meta

Spells

Stone Skin (Passive)-
Wukong's armor and magic resistance are increased by 4 / 6 / 8 for each visible nearby enemy champion.

Crushing Blow (Q)-
Wukong's next attack within the next 5 seconds deals bonus physical damage, gains 125 range (300 total range) and reduces the enemy's armor by 30% for 3 seconds.

Decoy (W)-
ACTIVE: Wukong becomes stealthed for 1.5 seconds and leaves behind a decoy of himself.
DECOY: The decoy is uncontrollable and cannot move or attack. After 1.5 seconds, it will vanish, dealing magic damage in a radius of 175.

Nimbus Strike (E)-
Wukong dashes on a cloud toward a target enemy and sends out images to hit up to two more within 187.5 range of the target. Each enemy struck is dealt physical damage. Upon hitting his target, he gains an attack speed bonus for 4 seconds.

Cyclone (R)-
Wukong's staff grows outward as he spins around for up to 4 seconds, dealing physical damage per second to enemies around him and gaining a 5% move speed bonus per half second. Enemies are knocked up into the air the first time they are hit by the spin. Wukong cannot attack or use other basic abilities while spinning, but can deactivate it early.

Skill Sequence

Start with your Q so you can trade early and then max your E as it has the most damage output. You want to get your W just so you can lose minion aggro and can get away from ganks. One tip I can give you is that when you run away, you can hold down S and it will look as if you decoy'd and then you can decoy to get out.

Masteries

The masteries that I run on wukong are to optimize my power in lane so that I can stand against champions that are particularly more meta to play. 21/9/0 is for early game damage and helps you scale well into the late game.

Runes

These runes are basic attack damage runes and have proven to be very effective. Wukong does not need scaling Magic Resist because of his passive and Mercury Treads if used. Armor penetration marks also work to give you an even stronger early game and especially because they have nerfed his Q giving less armor shred.

Items

The Black Cleaver is probably the most important item on Wukong considering that his Q already shreds armor and the extra armor shred from the Black Cleaver passive can really destroy an enemy quickly. Last Whisper makes your abilities really hurt so pick this up Early to Mid Game. The Ravenous Hydra active is very useful for wave clear and can actually do damage to jungle creeps so that you can hop to the and get away. The Bloodthirster is good for its stacking damage and extra life steal which can help you late game.
