In this section, I ill tell you the runes you take, and why you take them. First up

Fleet Footwork
This rune seems contrary to Mundo's kit, right? I mean it is meant for adcs to have more sustain in lane, but Mundo benefits from this immensely because of the ms and healing bonus. These bonuses make Mundo more sticky and hard to kill. Furthermore, it gives him sustain in the jungle by healing you when you start camps. This is why I pace back and forth when doing my first clear.
Let's talk about...

Truimph
[/color]
This rune can save you from a close call and synergizes very well with Mundo's ult by healing him for winning fights.
Next up on the block we have...

Tenacity
This rune will give Mundo a permanent 30% Tenacity. This combined with his w active gives him a full 51% tenacity... constantly.
Finally, in the primary tree, we have.

Coup De Grace
Coup De Grace gives you an advantage in late game fights. I know last stand is taken by so many others but you won't be fighting much in the early game anyways.
Next up we have the secondary tree...

Magical footwear
This is for saving money. Mundo needs that 300g for his Spirit's
And...

Approach Velocity
Approach velocity is the most vital rune here. This rune gives Mundo free ms for hitting his q. It also synergizes well with root/stun supports. This will allow Mundo to secure kills faster and more effectively.
As Mundo, you are a scaling/power farming mid-game powerhouse. Don't go for early ganks or anything like that, though if you see an opportunity Mundo can fight it. Mundo doesn't have any fancy mechanics or flashy displays, he is a giant purple man who is good at fighting. When you play Dr. Mundo you have nothing to hide behind, no mechanics, nothing. This jungle pick is based on the strength of your League basics.

Neutral Objectives
Mundo is not an objective-taking monster or anything but he does good damage, this is pre-six. Post-six he can do whatever the hell he wants in terms of objectives so bank on farming to six and either stealing or taking after checking for vision.
Solo Fights
Mundo is a tank with a ton of damage. This damage is ad so engage with a cleaver then run to headbutt them over and over until they die. Also never let go of w.
Team Fights
Mundo is a frontline tank. Your gonna be tanking and picking the mid or jungle.
To sum it up. Be a big meat shield.
Jungling And Ganking
Your clear is super fast so clear as many camps as you can in between ganks. Speaking of ganks, do the same as the solo fights engage with a q and follow up with a w and e. Be sure to body block them.
UPDATE: 10.8 gives you an even bigger mid-game power spike than what was possible in 10.7 be sure to use your lead to get an advantage in the mid-lategame.
First up.

Infected Cleaver
Infected Cleaver's active hurls a cleaver and if the cleaver hits it slows by 40% and does up to 30% of the targets maximum health. Use this to close gaps and secure kills.
NEXT!

Burning Agony
Burning Agony's active sets Mundo on fire dealing 5% of your ap as magic damage every .25 seconds and gaining 30% tenacity, this ability also costs 10 health per second at level 1. This is the ability that is really good for clearing camps. use it to minimize enemy cc.
Chilling Smite and Challenging Smite have their own uses when playing Mundo. Lets talk about both.

Chilling Smite
Chilling smite gives a slow and a bit of true damage. I use this for grabbing picks and securing mobile champion kills (such as Graves and Elise). Take this when they have a squishy team with a lot of mobility.

Challenging Smite
Challenging Smite reduces the damage the enemy champion and also does true damage over time. I use this for going for solo kills and invades during the mid game to further my lead.
We all know Mundo isn't the most... mobile of champs. Heres how I keep up with the League of Dashes.

Mundo has no dashes or blinks, but he does have his cleaver and approach velocity. His whole kit revolves around hitting a cleaver and running after them. This combined with Fleet Footwork's ms bonus will make you be able to stick on to them no matter what.
As Mundo you need to be a good predictor. You need to get good at reading and reacting to an enemy's attacks. Make them think that they are never safe from Mundo.
Peter griffin jungle is what I call Mundo. This is because he is big, hot, has the ability to kill anyone and can set himself on fire without feeling a thing. Have fun and ill see you next time... Louis.
