All of Ahri's spells can be blocked with your Wind Wall, but if you get hit by a charm, she can usually use all her spells on you before you have the option to Wind Wall. Play safe and farm, go aggressive on her when her spells are down.
Akali
Really annoying to play against. Her only blockable spell is on a very short cool down, but can help you win a fight with her easy. Take SERIOUS advantage of her pre-6, and bully her to death. Don't give up this lane early though, because she can dual you very easily.
Anivia
Her immobility will make it very easy to bully her, and her combo can be blocked by her wall, but its a similar situation will Ahri, she can burst you down pretty fast. So go aggressive when their spells are down and take advantage pre 6.
Annie
You can usually win this fight pre 6, but don't underestimate her damage. Once she knows your wind wall is down, she can go very aggressive on you and you have little ways to escape. Try to play safe and out farm her, you have a few seconds of a window to go in once she uses her Q and W, take advantage if you can. Also, she runs out of mana pretty fast, Try to out sustain.
Azir
This lane is basically hell. He can poke you from a million miles away, you have nothing to Wind Wall, and whenever you try to engage, he will just push you away. Try to get jungler help.
Brand
This lane can be very easy for you if you play your cards right. Dash out of his W, wall his Q and Ultimate. His cool downs are very long, so you have a very large window to engage on.
Cassiopeia
Very easy lane in my opinion. Her spams are very predicable, simply Wind Wall when she poisons you and block all of her E's, then play safe until you have your cooldowns back. You can usually go aggressive on her very early, if you are able to dodge her poisoning spells.
Cho'Gath
Relatively hard lane, go agressive at early levels. If Cho-Gath is able to get farm and stacks once he hits 6, he will become unkillable and you will not be able to dual him. Try to establish pressure early on, jungler help is always good too.
Corki
Corki is very annoying to play against only because of his poke in lane. You will have to sit back, because he will be able to punish you very effectively if you do not have your Wind Wall up. You should be able to dual him in the late game if you didnt give him to many kills.
Diana
She can usually fight you, but this lane can be very easy for you if you establish dominance early in the laning phase. Similar to Akali, once she hits six she should be able to dual you, so try to put pressure on the lane before then.
Ezreal
Basically no threat. You can block all of his spells, you will be able to dual him at almost any point in the game, and his auto attacks will not be able to poke you down very fast like on Corki. Stay behind the minion waves and outsustain.
Fizz
Does anyone even play fizz mid anymore? Anyway, this lane can be really annoying because of his slipperiness, but if you have fast fingers then this is easy. If he tries to damage you with his Playful/Trickster (E), try to dash through minions at the last second to avoid it. You can also Wind Wall his ultimate, Chum the Waters.
Galio
Not a huge threat in lane in the sense that he will not be able to poke you down very fast, but he is almost impossible to engage on for Yasuo. He will just speed away from you with his W on, and if he needs to, he will ult you so that you cannot engage on him anymore. Try to either get help from junglers or roam and help other lanes.
Gragas
Very easy lane. Try to deny farm with your Wind Wall when he throws a barrel. Also, his ultimate has a very easy to spot cast animation, he makes a sound as well as the large air time the barrel has, so try to time your Wind Wall after he uses that.
Heimerdinger
This lane is a very hard one. Even though you can Wind Wall all of his abilities, using your ultimate basically just places yourself in danger. You dont really want to get close to him, try to play safe and roam.
Jayce
His E Q combo is very easy to spot coming, he cant dual you in Hammer Form, and you can zone him pretty well. But be careful when your Wind Wall is down, dont underestimate Jayce's damage.
Karthus
It will be very hard for Karthus to land a Q on you with you dashing around everywhere, but be careful when engaging on him, you are putting yourself right on top of him and he can dish back some huge damage if you cant dodge his Q's. Get early boots.
Kassadin
Go extremely aggressive Pre-6. Kassadin is very vulnerable to Yasuo and with an insane mobility champion like Yasuo, you can punish that.
Katarina
Not a very hard lane, you can block damage from her Q and Ult with your Wind Wall, but if you arent by minions it may be hard to position correctly to use it. So just poke her when her spells are down and try not to give up any kills.
LeBlanc
Her combo can be seen coming from a mile away, if she is maxing Q, your wall should block at least her Mimic'd Q abilty, and if she is maxing Q, that should be the only spell that hits because you should be able to wall the other ones. Then you can go agressive.
Lissandra
You will most likely not be getting any kills on Lissandra. Anytime you try to dash to her she will freeze you in place, the only damage you will be able to get off is your ult. But at the same time, she will not be able to kill you without burning all your spells in the process. Get jungler help and roam.
Lulu
This lane has its good and bad qualities. For bad, you probably wont be able to kill her and she can poke you pretty easily or at least bait your Wind Wall. And whenever you hit a dash tornado, she will polymorph you and stop your damage. For good, she doesnt have much kill pressure on you either. Skill match up.
Lux
Very easy. Block all her spells, she is one of the squishiest mid laners to be up against so you can harass her out of lane fast.
Malzahar
Absolute. Utter. Hell. He will stop your combo, poke you when you go for CS, and just be naturally tank and always out damage you. Play safe and get jungler help pre-6 and you might be able to kill him due to his immobility.
Mordekaiser
You cant really fight morde, he will outdamage you and outsustain once he gets his core items. Get jungler help or roam.
Morgana
You can go pretty agressive on Morgana, and you can block her main spell, but the hardest part of this lane is you have a very small window after she uses her black sheild that you need to ult her. Try to bait the Black Shield and stack gathering storm once again and go for the kill.
Nidalee
You can outtrade her in Melee form and block her spears, but dont get hit by one or you are probably dead.
Orianna
Pretty rough, she can poke you from far away and its hard to punish her with he sheild. She is susceptible to ganks though.
Syndra
This lane is very easy once you get your tenacity boots. Once she hits you with the stun, unless she goes straight for the ultimate, with tenacity you should have enough time to wall off most of the damage. Go aggressive on her aswell.
Talon
Skill matchup, its pretty even. Dont give up any kills early or he will snowball and be able to kill you pretty fast.
Twisted Fate
Very easy lane, you can go very agressive once his Pick a Card (W) is down. Just watch out for the global pressure.
Urgot
This lane is easy because his damage is very easy to block and very predictable. But it is sort of hard to engage on him, as he may turn it around on you and win the fight. Go agressive when his E is down.
Vel'Koz
Easiest lane IMO. You can block everything, Dodge all his small hitbox spells, and engage on him freely. Take advantage of his low mobility.
Viktor
Another skill match. He can still burst you if you dont get his wall off in time, and he can stop your engages with his stun so watch out for that.
Zed
Pretty hard, he can basically punish you freely and he can ult you considering you dont have a super reliable escape. If you block his Death Mark'ed Q's by some chance, because of how unpredictable they are, you can turn.
Ziggs
Ziggs likes to spam keys and you can block all those. He also has an unreliable escape, and it knocks him up FOR YOU. You should destroy this lane.
Zyra
You can dodge her CC and poke, but she can burst you quick if she locks you down. Dont play too agressive, and if a jungler ganks you can easily snownball this lane.
Hello, I am a Silver 1 North American Yasuo main! Ever since Yasuo's release, he has always been one of my all time favorite heroes and I never get bored of playing him. Please leave all of your requests and comments in the section below! I really hope this guide helps you to become the best Yasuo player you can be!
Runes
Runes
My standard runes for yasuo, the only thing that may be able to be swapped would be the attack damage marks for armor penetration, but otherwise these runes are very basic and work well.

Items
Items
Standard core, always rushing Stattik Shiv. With the recent nerfs to Infinity Edge, you can swap that for BotRK for your 2nd item if you want. The 6th item and defensive item depends on your situation.
Skill Sequence
Skill Sequence
I love to Max Q, great spell, reduces the cooldown and it scales off attack speed. Some people like to Max E for the laning, I wouldn't recommend it, But do whatever works for you.
Spells
Spells
I love to take Exhaust and Flash because exhaust gives them reduced damage output for duals and slows them so you can always land your tornado. You can also run Flash and Ignite .
Ranked Play
Ranked Play
I think Yasuo is an okay soloqueue champion, but heavily depends on your composition and theirs. If they have a very tanky CC team, I wouldnt recommend picking Yasuo. And if your team is lacking knockups and hard engage I would also not pick Yasuo, but I think he is a pretty good blind mid lane pick if you know what your team is playing.
Pros / Cons
Pros / Cons
Pros:
Great Kit
Infinite Dashes
Awesome Wall Spell that blocks like everything
Pretty strong laning phase
Good snowball potential
EXTREMELY FUN TO PLAY
Skins and quotes are sick
Badass samurai dude
Cons:
You are literally flying into their whole team
Need knockups on your team
Sucks against hard CC
Lot of counters
Heavily nerfed
Not considered meta
Farming
Farming
Farming with Yasuo is very easy. What I do, is when I go up to a farm, I will auto attack or Q it, and then start spamming E while doing that. This way, if the auto/Q doesn't kill the minion, the instant damage from the E will. Farming with the tornado is also easy once you calculate how fast the tornado goes and cast time, but that comes with time.
