1 shot you with BARRELLLLL. His W also cleanses box fear, his ult allows him to run you down, his Q vs your E trade favors him by a lot. ............... Outplay: Ban him? Definitely one of, if not THE auto ban for me. That champ is so op busted at the time of me writing this, u stand literally no chance. Even if you win lane (by some miracle) he still will have item(s) first because of his Q giving extra gold. Do NOT get close or try to trade. Theoretically your R can be used to negate a barrel hit, but that only works when you have it off CD.

Champion Build Guide
Hi my name is Riley, I am a Shaco OTP with 300k+ mastery. I am realitively new to league but have been addicted since I started playing. I play on NA servers with a bunch of my friends, and find joy trolling the frick out of my teammates.
Remember: KS = Kill Secure. If you teammates flame you, it is because they are jealous of your skill. Make sure to flash mastery, emotes, and dances at all time.
I stream on Twitch sometimes, playing mostly league but sometimes other games as well.
Here is a link: Twitch
Shaco is not at all a powerful character in game, but the toll you take on other players mental more than makes up for it. Whether its pulling sick outplays or griefing your team, there is limitless skill expression for trolling.
But why AP?
I think AP is a ton of fun. Don't get me wrong, exiting invis to 1 shot the enemy ADC while plaing AD Shaco is hilarious, but I think the mind-game and outplay potential on AP is way better. Also for lane spesifically, I find AP Shaco to be a lot more successful, and especially so with the current tank meta.
- Funny clown
- High skill ceiling
- Flexible builds and playstyle
- Huge potential for outplay
- Shatter enemies mental
Cons:
- Shaco (especially in lane) is not good
- It can take some time to learn cooldowns and limit test
- You get called a pedo a lot :(
Shaco is difficult to play in general, but there is room for lane dominance if you play it right. First, if your jungler is starting top side, leave a few boxes on the buff to leash for them. Next for lane, without Liandry's or jungler, you do not have much kill pressure. Your opponent probably will have you pushed under tower early game due to lack of HP and mana, but gank from a jungler can help you get lane prio, and snowball from there. Play safe but punish your opponent for their mistakes. Use preplaced box traps to get them CC locked and chunk their HP. You can poke down with E, which also gives you Manaflow Band stacks. With lane Shaco, you are not really playing to win lane, but insted play for team fighting / late game.
Jungle:
I personally like to start W and place first box on raptors at 50 seconds. Placed the second box there as well, and then the third one next to Red buff (but not in activation range). Take Q second. After chickens, Q into red buff and pull red buff into preplaced box, and then place another box behind it to finish clear. After red, place box inbetween the two Krugs --> Q over the wall --> smite big Krug --> finish Krugs. After that, evaluate whether to clear top side or go gank bot / mid. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PREPLACED BOXES both around objectives and in team fights. You can lure people into traps or cover your escape with them, as well as zone enemies into different areas.
Clone:
Use clone to dodge abilities (if you time it right), Use clone explosion to get big AOE fear and damage, try to bait enemy into thinking clone is you and vice versa. If you move around like an NPC and make your clone have actual movments, people will fall for it more times than you would think. On AP, your clone is your very best friend, practice different outplays with it because the possibilities are basically limitless.
Comet -
Comet is really good in lane Shaco because it resets for every instance of damage. Each wave of the Shaco box damage that hits an enemy resets the CD on comet.
Manaflow Band -
I feel like this goes without saying, AP lane Shaco requires mana to use abilities, Manaflow Band = more abilities.
Transcendence -
Easily the best second row rune to take, Shaco benifis a lot from cooldown reductions for both damage and survivability.
Scorch -
I think Scorch is much better for consistent damage, especially early game. Getting consistent poke damage with Scorch and Comet is very powerful for trades and lane control.

Magical Footwear -
Helps early with gold. Free boots means dont have to spend gold for it, and you are free to rush Liandry's.
Buscits -
Biscuts is very good because early game lane Shaco struggles a lot with both mana and HP quite a lot. With biscuts, it allows for a lot more early sustain and gives the ability to take more effective trades.
Dark Harvest -
If you are able to keep poking them down in lane and get DH stacks, you can scale damage wise very hard, and become more engage focused instead of poke.
Cheap Shot -
Shaco boxes and E / passive activate the movement imparment damage bonus, so basically your whole kit is able to benifit from it.
Eyeball Collection -
Damage scaling from takedowns, other two runes are vision based, and only really viable if taken on support.
Treasure Hunter -
Gold on takedowns = items earlier = snowball harder.
Sorcery Tree
Manaflow Band -
Mana is super imporant in lane so taking this is vital.
Transendence -
Cooldown reduction allows for more abilities availible for use, which means more damage potential and survivability.

Gathering Storm -
Gathering Storm allows for damage scaling throughout the game. Mana isn't as imporant while in jungle, so taking GS to stay relevant is imporatnt.

Helps you hit item spikes earlier which allows for staying relevant even if slightly behind on gold or hit items ahead of enemies to snowball harder.
