Not too bad pre-6, but once he hits 6 you have no chance. He will nuke you and force out your ult and then he will ult and no invisible and wait out your ult. My permaban every game.
Champion Build Guide
Starting Items: Emberknife & Refillable
- Pretty standard stuff here.
Mythic Options
- Kraken Slayer is honestly the best all around mythic. Strong in all parts of the game. Unless you are going up against 3+ tanks (go Sunderer), you should pick this most of the time.
- Divine Sunderer has a fantastic %HP damage passive that can make games vs. tanky comps a lot more easier.
- Immortal Shieldbow if you are playing from behind, AND the other team is extremely bursty.
Core Items
- Storm Razor: Damage + energized proc that slows to catch fleeing enemies.
- Rapid Fire Cannon: Magic damage. Energized proc that increases attack range that scales with Kindred marks.
Both items give a nice 120 + 120 = 240 magic damage burst when energized, combined with a slow and increased attack range which this build revolves around.
Crit Item Choices
- Infinity Edge: Big damage and passive that gets you to 100% crit with 1 less item.
- Essence Reaver: Good damage & passive synergizes with Divine Sunderer.
- Mortal Reminder: If you need Grievous Wounds.
- Lord Dominik's: Great vs. multiple tank comps.
- Mercurial Scimitar: If enemy has a lot of CC that will nuke you.
- Bloodthirster: Good damage and good sustain if you don't want to get Guardian Angel.
- Collector: If you just want to flex with the execute damage to guarantee a close kill.
Ideal Build
- Divine Sunderer is OPTIMAL due to its better scaling passive that can make games vs. tanky comps a lot more easier.
- Storm Razor: Damage + energized proc that slows to catch fleeing enemies.
- Rapid Fire Cannon: Magic damage. Energized proc that increases attack range that scales with Kindred marks.
- Infinity Edge: Big damage and passive that gets you to 100% crit with 1 less item.
- Essence Reaver: Good damage & passive synergizes with Divine Sunderer.
The final 6th item comes down to situational purposes!
- Guardian Angel: The choice in most ideal games!
OR one of the other items listed above depending on the need for anti-CC, Grievous Wounds, vs. multiple tanks, etc.
The main 3 focuses of this build are: Items, Marks, Dark Harvest stacks.
Kindred Marks: Super important! More marks = bigger attack range.
Dark Harvest stacks: These will help you infinitely scale past being 6 slotted.
1. Walk within range of the enemy with the visible RFC indicator active. you don't want to be exactly on the indicator line, you want some added space.
2. As soon as you auto attack the chosen enemy you will immediately Q towards them. This will allow your initial attack (with extended range) to hit and then be within range for your Q and your second auto attack to hit (that gets reset using Q).
The first auto attack hit will do the bonus magic damage from Storm Razor + RFC. You will then Q into them which will reset your AA, and be able to hit them again due to them being slowed by Storm Razor.
The result.... HUGE damage which will either kill the target outright or at least guarantee you a free Dark Harvest stack.
TLDR:
AA->Q->AA = Profit
Dark Harvest (in my opinion) is way more fun and scales much better into the late game. If you can secure your ganks/kills without the added need of PTA, then go Dark Harvest, but if you struggle early a lot then this build is probably not for you. You can definitely come back into the game after a terrible start once you get Divine Sunderer + Storm Razor + RFC, it just won't spike as hard as early for you.
General idea for early game is to hit level 3 and then start hunting. Going against a weak early jungler with bad clear? Level 3 invade. If not, then focus on ganking and harassing the other team's laners. If you get the kill, AWESOME! Congrats on your (hopeful) Mark and Dark Harvest stack. Didn't get the kill? Well, hopefully you got to walk away with at least a Dark Harvest stack. Still good forward progress!
Going forward until the game is over, you want to make sure you position yourself away from the front-line. And just weave in and out, poking from 2 screens away.
No better feeling then an enemy walking up to you and you hitting them with that first energized auto attack that chunks their life bar. They will literally freeze and start running away, unaware of what power you have acquired. At this point follow the combo guide above and Q towards them for a free kill and Dark Harvest stack. SCALE!
Position is super important. You can go toe-to-toe with basically anybody, BUT if they come from the back or side during a fight and CC you (or have invisibility in their kit)... then you a dead lamb.
I started actively playing League of Legends early 2020, but have an a long-time veteran DotA player for the past 15 years including both DotA2 and DotA Allstars. I started playing League during the 2020 pandemic so that I could play with my IRL friends who didn't play DotA. Without any prior LoL knowledge I decided to purchase Kindred (I love bow-and-arrow characters) and head straight into the jungle for the first time, and I have never looked back.
