Riven is a very mobile champion, she can jump over walls and scales ridiculously well with AD. She's also very cute and a fun champion to play! While she has a high skill cap to be a god tier Riven, she also has a low skill gap to play at a proficient level (New player friendly, but has high mechanic combos for higher level plays).

Flat Armor against all AD laners. Can be replaced by Scaling Health or Flat Health.

Flat AD nothing to change here =)!

To get Maximum Cdr with 2 Items. You can replace 3 of them with Magic resist if needed.

1 AD Quint and 2 Lifesteal for better sustain.

As Riven with Tp you should definitly start at a jungle camp. It gives you instant lvl 2 and enough gold for 4 Pots and a ward. After doing the camp you go b and Tp on Turret , meanwhile your oppenent shouldn't have lvl 2. With this start u got more Sustain and easier laning.
Runes and Doransgive you 6% lifesteal which is enough to sustain against poke.
Make sure that you use Riven's strong lvl 3 ( E >2x Q > W > 3rd Q to chain CC the opponent! ( Make sure to Auttoattack between the Spells to do the max. DMG ).
Controlling your passiverunenblade makes Riven even more powerful!!

The Mid Game is very hard for Riven , she can't really Teamfight against CC heavy teams because she most likely gets focused and dies instantly. So if you are ahead as Riven try to find picks ( Roam Midlane or Tp gank Botlane; Invading the jungler is also very efficent).
However if you aren't able to get an early lead or your team falls behind , try to splitpush and alawys keep the sidlanes pushed! Riven is a really good 1v1 and 2v1 Champ try to use that!
Core Items in the Mid Game are: Black Cleaver to be able to kill tanks really quick. The Brutalizer to give you Flat Pen. and the last Cdr you need and the last item would be Ravenous Hydra gives you enough wave clear , Lifesteal and pushing Power.

As mentioned before just a perfect item for Riven.

The new Black Cleaver gives Riven so many good stats , it gives you Cdr , Ad and Penetration make sure u build that first!

You upgrade Youmus last because you dont need the Crit and the Active is nice but you are already fast enough to catch almost every champ :D

Last Whisper is the last Offensive Item you Build and it's just perfect against Teams which stack armor so you got the triple Penetration with Black Cleaver , Brutalizer and Last Whisper.

Mercury Treads Mercs are Perfect against CC teams , I build them almost every game because you alaways get CC'ed as Riven it helps you to stay alive and keeps you a bit safer.

or or Build one of them against Ap heavy Teams ( QSS against Seju , Leo or Morg ; Maw against Burst Champs and Banshees when you feel like you cant dodge skillshots or need some more HP).

You should build GA if your team needs you to engage.

Can be build against full Ad comps. or a fed Adc.

Many Matchups are really hard to play against at the beginning of learning Riven but no worries you can learn every Matchup!!
If you arent sure when to pick Riven just look at the Top of the guid there is a small list with many Matchups. ( The rating is how i can play against this Matchup , it can be different for anyone of you)
