Introduction

Hey guys, this is Minelvagor
I´m glad to tell u that I finally got my Ryze guide ready.

Why did i do this guide?

Why did I do this guide?

Well, the answer is quite easy.
BECAUSE I FKN LOVE RYZE.
I think Ryze is one of the strongest AP carries in LoL,
when u play him as good as I do. (Muhahahaha I am so fkn good xDDDD)

Summoners

I know what you are thinking about: "Dude, wtf, why ghost? Are u a fkn ******?!?!"
Well, no, I am not.
Let me show you why to pick Ghost instead of Ignite

1. Ghost+ Desperate Power makes you a truely chaser, and u get away when u are in trouble
easily.
2. U won´t need Ignite , Ghost+ Desperate Power allows you to chase every enemy through
the whole map.
3. Ghost+ Rune Prison allows you to catch each opponent.

Pros/Cons

PROS

+Realy strong Lategame AP Carry
+Quite tanky from the beginning of the Midgame
+Dealing DMG as hell
+Easy to get some farm

CONS

-Extremely low range
-Easy to gank (If u are not playing defensive)
-Needs a Bluebuff, always
-Weak in earlygame

Counters, and how to counter your counters

What if.... U get counterpicked?

Well, here is a short list of the Ryze counters:

If you are playing against cassio, ask your jungler for an earlygank +
get FB. After buying Tear of the Goddess ,try to spam Overload
on her, and Spell Flux on the enemy Minions. You should be able to
win the lane, if u play like that.
It sounds crazy, but if u dont win 1vs1 fights against her, buy
Mercury's Treads . Even if u havent as much ap/spellpen as she has,
u need the MR, and u rly need the Tenacity too.
But if u buy Mercury's Treads, u have to buy Void Staff later,
because u rly need the Spellpen.

Well, if u play against Anivia, u have to play nearly the same game
as u have to follow if u play against cassio.
Try to outfarm her, deny her blue buff, build Tenacity.
But there is one difference: Anivia has to come nearer to u
than cassio. This means u have good chances to chatch her with
Rune Prison . If u caged her, use Desperate Power and
Ghost instantly, because u have to DMG her as fast as you can,
cause she will flash away, or use her Wall.

If u play against Xerath, u dont have to buy Mercury's Treads,
but he will try to outfarm u. Thats why u rly need an earlygank.
Against Xerath, u need to farm. U need to stack Tear of the Goddess
anyway, that means u have to farm. If he wins against u in 1vs1,
stand near your turret, and spam your whole combo into the minions.
This is good for you, because: 1. You stack Tear of the Goddess
2. You get farm and exp
3. Xerath will stand near your turret,
what makes him an easygank.
4. Your Turret won´t get any DMG.

Well, these champs are the hardest enemies you can fight against when u are playing Ryze.
But NP, if u follow my guide, u will be able to win in each case!

Item Build

Ryze spells stack with AP, and with Mana.
Thats why u rly have to buy Seraph's Embrace.
U are a low ranged, tanky AP Carry, that means the passive of
Seraph's Embrace is rly useful for u, and the mana allows you to do tons of DMG.

Sorcerer's Shoes are important for you, but if u get countered hard,
u can also go on Mercury's Treads. But if u do that,
u have to buy Void Stafflater, because u rly need the Spellpen.

Rod of Ages is the most important Item in the whole build,
because it makes you tanky and gives you a lot of mana, which
allows you to do tons of DMG, and allows you to stay in Teamfight/on Lane very long.

Rabadon's Deathcap. Well, what should I say, I think every one knows that every AP carry needs
a Rabadon's Deathcap.

Iceborn Gauntlet is rly good for you, because u use your spells rly often, which gets the Iceborn Gauntlet´s passive rdy everytime. And its rly good, because u need the Mana, and the Cooldownreduction is nice too, and if you are playing against a strong AD team, the Armor is perfect.

As Lastitem, a Guardian Angel is nice because of its passive.
U are low ranged, means it is possible that u get focused. But because my build makes u quite tanky, they need a few seconds to kill you, what allows your team to focus them down, and if they are still alive when u die, u return with a bit live, use Ghost and u are out of danger.

Conclusion

Well, I hope u like my Guide,
pls pardon me if u dont like it because it´s just my second guide.

If u have any questions about the guide, or if u know better techniques,
better builds or whatever, pls leave a comment or send me an E-Mail.

I am always happy about positive and negative criticism.

PS: If you think that my spelling sucks, forgive me, my first language is German.

GL&HF with Ryze,
