Hey guys my name is HerrSolahri, I am from EUW and this In-Depth Guide teaches you all u need to know about LeBlanc the Deceiver.
First i want to tell you that if you have any further questions, you can come into my Stream and ask me everytime. I know it is hard to understand things like Wave Management and Electrocute abusing just by reading it, so come into my Stream and i will explain it to you in a custom game or ingame. I've been a Coach for a few months and I am 100% sure that i can help you and i want to help you.

I main Leblanc since i started to pick her up in Season 5 and I was able to always have a ~60% Winrate on multiple Accounts. I have multiple Diamond Accounts. My peak this Season was Promotion for D2 when i spammed Leblanc every game.
Leblanc is my confident Pick.
I already played against famous Players like Yassuo , Gross Gore and Kerp from CLG or PowerOfEvil and I never lost when i played vs famous Players.

Pros

Leblanc is one of the best Solo Queue Mid Laner since she was released, due to her very unique Duel/Assassination Kit. She has the ability to win lane against every Mid Laner in early game and her snowballing power is insane. You won't get bored, because Leblanc is one of the Champs who are hard to master!

Leblanc is very hard to play from behind. Being behind in Items feels really bad, but being behind in LVL feels even worse. It's hard to come back if you dont have at least one other Team member who is strong. Leblanc also relies on her jungler to start fights in River or so. Otherwise it's hard to get ahead in some Matchups.

Before I start to tell you about the Combos, how to play her and her items I'll introduce you to her Kit. For this purpose I use the League of Legends Wikia .
I will mark the most important things for you (instead of shortening it) .



Starting with her passive:
]

INNATE: When LeBlanc falls below 40% maximum health, she creates a controllable clone of herself with the same items, statistics and the same percentage of health and mana, after which they both instantly become Twilight Shroud old2 invisible for 1 second. The clone can basic attack but deals no damage, lasts for 8 seconds or until killed, and starts running 1900 units towards a random place in front of LeBlanc decided the moment it spawns.
Mirror Image can occur once every few seconds.
Notice that Leblanc Passive has no DMG. You want to use the passive as a Bait for the enemy so you can survive. The passive is also moveable (check your controls to know which button it is, its alt on my keyboard). get a feeling for the 40% HP, because the moment your passive starts you are invisible for a short time. That's the moment you want to turn or press s to stand so the enemies attack your clone. The clone is nice to get some time in fights to wait for your cooldowns. Care for Ignite/ Red smite/ Malzahar e etc. They will know which Leblanc is the real one.




Sigil of Malice TARGET RANGE: 700 SPEED: 2000 COST: 50 / 60 / 70 / 80 / 90 MANA COOLDOWN: 6
Sigil of Malice
ACTIVE: LeBlanc projects an orb towards the target enemy, dealing magic damage and marking them for 3.5 seconds.

MAGIC DAMAGE:
55 / 80 / 105 / 130 / 155 (+ 40% AP)
The mark will be consumed once LeBlanc damages the marked target with an ability, dealing the same magic damage again.

TOTAL DAMAGE:
110 / 160 / 210 / 260 / 310 (+ 80% AP)

Your Q basically deals a bit DMG the moment it hits an enemy but the real DMG comes when you hit with another ability after applying your Q to someone. Don't poke in early with your Q when you can t do it without getting hit by the enemie. It's never going to be worth since your Q deals almost no DMG without W'ing or E'ing after



Distortion TARGET RANGE: 600 EFFECT RADIUS: 260 SPEED: 1450 COST: 60 / 75 / 90 / 105 / 120 MANA COOLDOWN: 14 / 13 / 12 / 11 / 10

FIRST CAST: LeBlanc Dash dashes to the target location, damaging all nearby enemies upon arrival and leaving a return pad at the cast location for 4 seconds. After 0.2 seconds she can recast Distortion 2 Distortion at no additional cost.

MAGIC DAMAGE:
85 / 125 / 165 / 205 / 245 (+ 60% AP)
SECOND CAST: LeBlanc Flash blinks to Distortion's return pad.

This is your most important Ability! It's your Waveclear, your main DMG, your gap closer, your escape ability,...The W is what seperates good Leblanc's from bad ones on micro basis. Don't waste it when your Lane is pushed, because you become vulnerable for ganks then. Combine W with Flash when your jungler ganks, because you really want that big DMG on your enemie, otherwise its going to be hard to kill someone




Ethereal Chains TARGET RANGE: 865 COLLISION RADIUS: 27.5 TETHER RADIUS: 925 SPEED: 1750 COST: 70 MANA COOLDOWN: 14 / 13.25 / 12.5 / 11.75 / 11

ACTIVE: LeBlanc flings an illusory chain in the target direction, dealing magic damage to the first enemy it hits and tethering herself to them for 1.5 seconds.

MAGIC DAMAGE:
40 / 60 / 80 / 100 / 120 (+ 30% AP)
The target is True Sight icon revealed while the tether is attached, and if it is not broken the target will be Root icon rooted for 1.5 seconds and dealt additional magic damage.

ROOT DAMAGE:»
60 / 90 / 120 / 150 / 180 (+ 70% AP)

Because of this ability i always pick Leblanc when enemies pick a Champ that needs to be kited like Tryndamere, Garen, Udyr,etc. Because it's so easy to lock them down with double Chains. You most of the times want to use this ability in the w q q e Combo or if your Team stuns someone and you can chain CC, since the chain isn't easy to hit but easy to dodge!




Mimic COOLDOWN: 60 / 45 / 30

ACTIVE: LeBlanc casts a mimicked version of her most recently used basic ability, applying the same effects and dealing modified magic damage.

Mimic Sigil of Malice MIMIC SIGIL OF MALICE: Deals modified damage and double damage upon triggering the mark.

MAGIC DAMAGE:»
70 / 140 / 210 (+ 40% AP)
Mimic Distortion MIMIC DISTORTION: Deals modified damage.

MAGIC DAMAGE:
150 / 300 / 450 (+ 75% AP)
Mimic Ethereal Chains MIMIC ETHEREAL CHAINS: Deals modified damage and double damage upon rooting.

MAGIC DAMAGE:»
70 / 140 / 210 (+ 40% AP)

Q MIMIC: I use double Q either when i do the combo W Q Q E for poke or if i want to oneshot an enemie that is further away. Or i use it when im hiding in a bush to oneshot a enemie that walks into me with Q Q E W

W MIMIC: Use double W to escape from fights or to get into fights, but dont just use W W Q E, thats the wrong combo unless you couldnt prepare. Optimal Combo is to use the Mimic W then Q then W E. Thats the most important Combo and also really nice to get your enemie low in lane.

E MIMIC: Use Double Chains to perma CC Enemies

Runes

Sadly there is currently not much variation in Leblanc Runes.
Use the runes i showed at the beginning of the Guide and now I will explain why:



Electrocute

Electrocute is the best Keystone for Leblanc, because its so easy to apply in every stage of the game. Q W AA (Autoattack) and you got it.
Basically you want to chill whenever you not have Electrocute ready and be aggressive as soon as it is. This is really important to master so please watch this Video where it is perfectly explained how to abuse electrocute! Play Video

Sudden Impact

Your W activates Sudden Impact and it increases your Burst!


Zombie Ward / Ghost Poro / Eyeball Collection

It's basically whatever what you take here. Personal preference. I like to take Zombie Ward when i know I'm going to go sweeper, because i will roam a lot.

Ghost Poro is also nice for roams if you want to make the river a safer Place

Eyeball Collection is for people who just want DMG :D


Ravenous Hunter

Ravenous Hunter gives you sustain for the laning phase and the whole game. You are basically forced into it, since there are so many sustain things in the game like Corruption Potion + Dark Seal / Cookies / Time Warp Tonic /...




Sorcery


Absolute Focus

Absolute Focus gives you up to 40 AP while being above 70% HP. Basically it helps you a lot to burst people easier while being high health.


Manaflow Band

Since the nerf of Inspiration you want to use Doran's Ring again, but the mana regen feels really bad on pretty much every assassin mid laner with mana. Without Manaflow Band you re oom way too fast.



Summoner Spells


Flash

Flash just has to be in your Kit! It's good to escape ganks / dodge abilities / chase enemies


Ignite

As Leblanc you want to use Ignite in 90% of the time. It gives you the DMG you need to kill an opponent in Lane or later in the game.


Cleanse

Take Cleanse vs CC heavy Teams or pretty much only against Lissandra / Twisted Fate / Veigar


Exhaust

I like to take Exhaust vs Katarina. It lowers her dmg and makes it easier to hit your chain, which is pretty much a dead Katarina if you do so.
Try Ignite and Exhaust vs her and see what you prefer more.

Laning vs a Melee

I will summarize the important things for you below the Video :

Play Video

-Build a big wave by last hitting and zoning the enemie at the same time (use Electrocute for this one)
-Don t give them a chance to fight back
-Track enemie Jungle by watching when Enemie Bot lane comes into Lane and wards
-Hover the opposite Side of the enemie Jungle so you re not easy to gank
-Poke when Big wave crashes
-Kill the enemie when hes low enough
-Push the wave in before backing so it pushes back to you
-Now freeze the Wave so your Jungler can easily gank you, since the enemie Mid laner has to come far into lane to farm!




Laning vs Control Mages

This strategy helped me A LOOOOT! against Control Mages. You just have to get a feeling for the freeze and how to thin a wave properly, but do it a few times and you will master it! Again I will summarize the most important things below the Video for you:

Now im sure you are wondering why that Leblanc looks so weird, that's because it is a Ryze :D, BUT this totally works for Leblanc aswell. What you want to do is first wave hits and you show them who's the boss. Usually it should be you when you do Autoattack W Autoattack, which will procc Electrocute! Now they know ok this guy deals a lot dmg i have to be careful. So you start zoning, by standing in front of your wave( if they dont want to get zoned you poke them and punish) meanwhile you re pushing your wave and it will eventually crash. Don't forget to ward tho.
The wave will start to push into your Direction. You have 2 options now:
1. spend some Mana and thin the Wave so you can freeze in front of your Tower or
2. let it Crash if you see that your Jungler will gank soon, so you don't lose too many minions while he's ganking.
The Freeze will force your opponent to spend a lot Mana to break the freeze while being out of positiong doing that. If your Jungler ganks here its a free kill, if not , your Enemie will lose a lot Farm or a lot of Mana. So it's pretty much a win win situation for you.

Most builded Items


You generally want these Boots if you are not forced into any of the other

Get these against Team setups with a lot of cc like Lissandra, Annie,... and especially if they have a jungler like Elise aswell

You pretty much only want these if you are against a full AD combo and you re ahead.

This is a must buy Item. It provides you additional burst, Mana, and CDR. Pretty much a perfect Item for LB

I buy this Item as 2nd Item in 70% of my games. The Oblivion Orb Item just feels so good on Leblanc with the penetration and Morellonomicom is a better version of it. Also it prevents noob champs like Soraka to prevent you from killing enemies.

Buy this item when you are afraid that enemies will hard CC you if you W in. For example Lissandra, Malzahar, Annie, Ryze,...

The best starting Item currently, since it gives you DMG, MANA, and most importantly sustain so you can keep trading in lane

Synergizes extremely well with Corrupting Potion, because of the 25% increased healing from potions. Also you want to play aggressive as Leblanc anyway so getting stacks is most of the times guarenteed.

Take this Item if you have the feeling you don't need defensive Items and when enemies are really squishy so you can just do w q q e combo or w q w ethe whole time to oneshot people.

This item is not just good vs Zed and Talon. I love Zhonya's so much, because it gives you the possibility to engage fights. you double W in, do a lot dmg, maybe even oneshot someone, then Zhonya. People won't know if they should wait for you to come out or focus something else so they are confused. Meanwhile your Team is engaging aswell and you win the fight :)

Really good Item against Tanks with MR or people who bought items like Hextrinker or Abyssal Mask. Some people, especially Pro player in LCS games even like to buy it as 2nd Item with Sorcerer Boots.

These Skins are the best gameplay whise, because their AA animation doesn't feel weird, same with the Abilities. My personal favourite is the Mistletoe Leblanc, since she's rare seen and just feels the best for me.



I love these three for their looking, but the AA animations just don't feel the same as the rest sadly. Especially Elderwood!

be happy :) Leblanc is now balanced. So people won't ban her anymore or pick her that much.
Just be a little bit smarter with your W. Don't forget to wait for your electrocute in early game before jumping on the enemie!
