Hello
Hello everyone,
Enjoy the guide!

If you have questions look at the notes i made, and if you have still questions ask me on my discord server or on my Stream:

Why Taric?
You always wanted to play an *** slapping Paladin?
HERE YOU GO!

Taric has extreme teamfight sustain trough his Q and W and can flip fights completly with his R.
He has a huge powerspike with 2 items and is rly rly strong then.
Your adc cant literally die or your carry, if you peel him with all you got.
He can only die if he feeds intentional and missplays.
But that actually doesnt happen so often as you may think.

You enjoy champs like Rakan, Lulu or Tahmkench and like bouncing around your ADC and trying to peel him as hard as possible? Then this champ is rly good for you.
Pros/Cons of playing Taric

Pros

[*] One of the Strongest Ults ingame
[*] Reliable healing and shielding
[*] still usefull from behind
[*] insane scalling
[*] good early/midgame dmg
[*] can solo carry teamfights

Cons

[*] Weak early because of mana costs
[*] weak laningphase
[*] needs much mana
[*] needs lvl 6 for his powerspike
[*] Can get kitted rly easily
What can you do?

Basicly: You have your Passive Called Bravado:

Its the most important thing in your Kit, because your Q cooldown relies on this passive. That means basicly, when you use your passive autoattacks, your Cooldown of your basic abilitys goes down by 1 second. Your Q has 1.6 seconds cooldown, but only generates stacks every 15 seconds. So if you do 2 autoattacks, your first autoattack will make the cooldown of your Q to 0 seconds and make the ability basicly up again. BUT if you autoattack twice you get a second stack on your Q instantly, and if you dont use your Q again and use your W and 2 autoattacks instead, you will get 4 stack on your Q and can make the double amount of healing instead of only 2 charges, but you can only have 4 charges if you have 4 points in your Q (one charge per skillpoint in it).

Bravado (your Passive):
INNATE: After casting an ability, Taric's next two basic attacks within 4 seconds gain Attack speed icon.png 100% total attack speed, each dealing 25 − 93 (based on level) (+ 15% bonus armor) bonus magic damage and reducing the Cooldown reduction icon.png cooldowns of his basic abilities by 1 second, as well as refreshing Bravado's duration on the first attack.

Starlight's Touch (your Q)
EFFECT RADIUS: 325CAST TIME: 0.25COST: 70 / 80 / 90 / 100 / 110 MANA + ALL CHARGESCOOLDOWN: 3RECHARGE: 15

PASSIVE: Taric stores a charge of Starlight's Touch periodically, up to a maximum at once. Bravado Bravado empowered attacks grant one charge.

MAXIMUM CHARGES:
1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5
ACTIVE: Taric Heal power.png heals himself and all nearby allied champions for 30 (+ 20% AP) (+ 1% of Taric's maximum health) per stored charge at the time of cast, up to a maximum of 150 (+ 100% AP) (+ 5% of Taric's maximum health) at 5 charges.

Bastion: (your W)
TARGET RANGE: 800TETHER RADIUS: 1300CAST TIME: 0.25COST: 60 MANACOOLDOWN: 15
PASSIVE: Taric gains Armor icon.png bonus armor and forms a Focused Resolve.png tether between him and the ally last targeted by Bastion. While the tether persists, the ally also gains the bonus armor and Taric's abilities are mimicked to them, though the effects do not stack.

BONUS ARMOR:
10 / 11 / 12 / 13 / 14% of Taric's armor
ACTIVE: Taric Hybrid resistances icon.png shields himself and the target allied champion for 2.5 seconds, blessing them with the Bastion link.

SHIELD STRENGTH:
8 / 9 / 10 / 11 / 12% of target's maximum health
Taric can self-cast Bastion to shield himself, or to the nearest untethered ally in range. Only one champion can be tethered at a time, and selecting a new ally overrides the previous tether.

Dazzle (your E)
TARGET RANGE: 575COLLISION RADIUS: 70CAST TIME: NONECOST: 60 MANACOOLDOWN: 17 / 16 / 15 / 14 / 13
ACTIVE: Taric projects a beam of starlight in the target direction, erupting after a 1 second delay, dealing magic damage to all enemies hit and Stun icon.png stunning them for 1.25 seconds.

MAGIC DAMAGE:
90 / 130 / 170 / 210 / 250 (+ 50% AP) (+ 50% bonus armor)

Cosmic Radiance (your Ultimate)
EFFECT RADIUS: 400CAST TIME: 0.25COST: 100 MANACOOLDOWN: 180 / 150 / 120
ACTIVE: Taric calls upon the heavens, summoning a star above him that descends down over 2.5 seconds, afterwards bestowing Taric and all nearby allied Champion icon.png champions with cosmic energy, rendering them invulnerable for 2.5 seconds.
Combos
So now we are at the Combos. (this will be the meme part tbh INSANE COMBOS XD)
They are pretty pretty easy to do:
(AA = Autoattack)
1. Combo: The Long Full Combo in Full length

E AA AA Q AA AA W AA AA R AA AA Q AA AA Q AA AA

You cast your E as engage/stun and then most of time use your Q because enemys already dealt dmg to you, but when you full hp maybe wait for them doing dmg and then Q, except early game then you should use your early game dmg as Taric and smack them. But if you are in mid/late game, wait for them doing dmg.
And you should always try to save your W to bind to another teammate, but if no teammate except your adc/carry is there, you should just shield him.

Most of time you cant use this combo but that would be your full potential.
Just try to use Q always after you did atleast 2 Bravado AA, because without using it, your Q wont get up fast and does like 0 healing.
Why you play these Runes?

Guardian Runes

Now i will talk about my Runes and why i take these:

First of all you Take Guardian because it help you and somebody else to survive much longer than they should (and everything else is bad in comparison).

Second you Take Font of Life because it heals your teammates if they damage an enemy who got stunned by you. Shield bash and demolish are completly useless against font of life.

As third rune in the Resolve tree you take Second Wind or Conditioning.
You take Second wind in most matchups because will mostly play against ranged champs on botlane, but if you play against a tanky support like nautilus or tahmkench you could play conditioning, because you anyway outscale them, and with that you outscale them even harder.

And now the last Rune out of the Resolve tree:
Here you take Revitalize for obvious Reasons.
It buffs your Healing and Shielding you Receive and the one your teammates get.

Now we come to the secondary tree which is the precision tree:

The only 2 Rune choices we have here a Presence of mind and Legend Tenacity.

Why do you take Presence of Mind instead of the inspiration tree and take the Biscuit Delivery?
It is actually better for the laningphase than Presence of Mind could ever be,but you need the 15% mana on takedowns or you cant take long teamfights, which is your strongest point in the game.

You take Legend Tenacity, because you can use it also (and there is also nothing better in the Presicion tree)

Predator Runes

First of all you Take Predator obviously. Predator is good for hunting enemys down, roaming fast, engaging and Mobility/Engage is Tarics biggest weakpoint, and with this Rune you disable his Weakness.

As Second Rune you take Cheap shot because you cant use Taste of Blood or Sudden Impact.

As third you can take Zombie ward, doesnt matter actually. Take what you like the most here.

And as last rune in the Domination Tree we take Ultimate Hunter since our Ultimate is our Strongest tool on our Champion.

Now the Second tree:
Here we take as always Precision with Presence of Mind and Legend Tenacity because we need the Mana in teamfights and we take Tenacity because there is nothing better for us to take.
Champions where you should dodge
This part is not actual anymore, But i suggest you to ban Senna, Pyke or Karma. Senna and Karma are rly good against you and Pyke is annoying because i cant lane vs him.
Supporter:
Janna: Slow, gives allies movementspeed and attack damage and also can knockup you and knock you away.
Senna: She also slows you permanently, also on adc rly big pain in the ***.
Zilean: 99% slow XDDD

ADC:
Samira: she is just rly rly op but doesnt counter your champ that hard because she walks in melee range, but if she is paired with Leona or nauti, you could consider dodging the game.
Ashe: you cant move on her or away from her and you are basicly dead all time.

I always ban Ashe because she is rly strong and it doesnt depend on a specific supporter. Samira needs the right supporter to be op. And zilean and janna are never played in my games.

If you dont want to ban Ashe you can also ban Senna because she is basicly doing the same.
Roaming
I wont explain much here since it should be common knowledge and it is very hard to explain at all.

There are 3 Main kinds of roaming:

Recall Roams, Roams after pushing out the wave, or Roams to objectives.

Recall Roams:
You go base and imediatly walk to mid/top lane or go invade with your Jungler.

Pushing wave Roams:
You push out your Wave and go Roam midlane/drake.

Roam to Objectives:
For example you see your jungle pathes topside and Herald spawns. You go base (if you can obviously) and walk there to make vision and help him secure it and after that you go for a toplane or midlane gank.

In general you try to roam with your Jungler but sometimes this kind of roam/gank is rly hard to execute.
