This looks good. I'll need to try this out. I did notice something that seems like an error though. In your section describing Rolling Thunder you mention it being good to take care of Teemo. But later you mention why to avoid Teemo. Those little two bits contradict one another. In the first section (describing Rolling Thunder) you you say Rolling Thunder can chase down a Teemo and to slow him with Majestic Roar. Then go on to say in the later section why that doesn't work. I mean it might work out for you at the start of the game, before Teemo reaches lvl.6 and gets his shrooms. That shroom and move quick combo... *shakes fist*

Great guide, my first time playing Voli and I went 19-1 getting an official and an unofficial quadra against a better player than me on top. Because it wasn't much of a challenge, I doubt this will matter, but I missed out the Atma's going straight into a frozen mallet, then Randuin's, then thinking about Atma's. I just don't think it's that beneficial to be building as second main item. Thanks for the guide though :)

I must say you did very well explaining the abilities and how to use them. But we have a slight disagreement in the item build. Blade of the Ruined King makes Warmogs inefficient. Frozen Mallet should be first followed by a Raduins Omen or a Sunfire Cape. Your item adjustments are also good. Please make these changes and I will upvote.

Great guide! I appreciate the updates for S3 info; I see a lot of good potential in volibear as both a top as well as a jungle; do you have an ETA on when you might finish/polish up your WIP jungle build listed here? Would love to see how you've fine-tuned it. Voted +1!

Tenacity does not Stack, so i recommend Armor Boots :)

It looks amazing! Can't wait to try it out after school. :D Voli is my main Solo-Top.

I feel that the item build is rather lacking. Stacking that much hp (2 Warmog's Armor, Ionic Spark, and a Frozen Mallet) is entirely unnecessary due to the lack of resistances to back up that hp. Just rushing into a late game team fight with ONLY HP stacking will yield in Volibear getting blown up. Any competent player seeing such builds would immediately build a Madred's Bloodrazor, 4% hp per attack, to ruin your game. Having two Warmog's Armor is not awesome, but redundant. Itemizing only for your easily shut down passive and a "kill securing" nuke on a long cooldown is suboptimal.

As someone who plays a lot of Volibear, I would never use your item build. I suggest putting in defensive items such as Guardian Angel, Randuin's Omen, Aegis of the Legion, or Banshee's Veil to round out your resistances. This build may work against opponents who have **** for brains, but it is definitely not viable for anybody competent.

Flash should also definitely be taken over Teleport. Your Q is easily shut down by any cc so Flash+ Thundering Smash solves that problem. Flash+ Thundering Smash is just so amazing. Other than offensive uses, since Volibear lacks any escapes other than the movespeed bonus from Q, Flash can be used to get yourself out of tight situations.

With the exception of your item build, top lane ahri, and summoners, everything else is really good. However, I do suggest armor penetration marks as an alternative over attack speed since it provides extra damage on your bite and autos once your opponents start building some armor.

+1

tl;dr Change item build, too much health stacking is suboptimal against competent opponents. Pretty good everything else.
