Introduction
Hi,
I'm a high elo Kassadin player. I think he is probably the best midlaner in the game and the most fun to play. My avg. K/D/A starts from 10/3 and goes up to 18/3. I'm usually an early / mid game player and that's what makes my Kassadin bloodthirsty.
I'm playing the champ to assasinate players over and over games. My playstyle is mid game orientated. #kassawin
Summoner Spells
Ignite:

Ignite is a very good early game summ spell for bloodthirsty players like me. I like to build up my advantage and form it into a snowball just by killing my laners when they don't expect to be dead.
Tp:

Tp is a very good summ spell for late game players who likes to scale safely and carry after lvl 16.The tp cooldown is huge in early game (420 - 240) but this will help you not to get behind in struggling matchups.Tp also helps you keeping your wave and xp managed, also helps you with roaming and making plays in late game.

Your ideal backs:
1200 gold -> Wand + Dark Seal -> Going for RoA
    Your main goal is to rush the Wand if you are building RoA for first item, this will help you with farming. After getting the Wand, you will be able to kill the ranged minions after they get their tower shot.
1220 gold -> 2x Tome + Dark Seal -> Going for Staff
    In this case, you scale faster and you will be very strong at lvl 13 where you will have 2 points on your R and you will have Staff + Lich Bane already with maxed E+Q. This build can carry with 2 items,the rest is situational. With this build / back you will have a really strong early and mid game. You can easily assasinate players with it and stack up your Seal, then your Mejai's. Building Lost Chapter and having Dark Seal with Doran Ring makes it impossible for you to run out of mana.
Early game
The way I like to play my Kassadin is to play aggressively.On early game, your goal is to survive, try to soak as many xp as you can and as many gold as you can.
Do NOT trade hp for gold at any point of your laning-phase. XP has a greater value than gold. If you are down to lvl than your laner, you got behind and your didn't achive your goal, which is to keep up with the enemy.You must use your macro knowledge to manage a wave correctly and make powerful decisions during early game.
You should play around your jg, help him, it that way he can help you.
You shouldn't buy any pink wards / control wards. You can't defend it and it delays your scaling. Play around your tower, freeze your wave in front of it.
Main goals:
  • soak xp
  • soak as many gold as you can
  • don't trade hp to gold
  • don't die
Mid game
In mid game,you should take every resource that is avaliable for you, or at least as many as you can. This is the perfect time to split on sidelanes, roam to bot or top for kills and start building up your snowball. You want to reach 2 items during mid game and carry the rest of the game.By pressuring the sidelanes, your team can win more likely an object for you or for a fight. The enemy must stop your split otherwise you will hit 16 really fast and they will lose turets also. If they turn on you, just R away. Also you shouldn't split 24/7, if there's a good position for a fight, you can flank the adc and oneshot her with R+F, you should do it. Don't forget to play around your team in the hype of pushing.
Main goals:
  • split
  • soak resources (xp&gold)
  • catch isolated players
  • win the game by roaming
  • NOT throwing the gained advantage by making bad decisions
Late game
You should keep pressuring sidelanes.It's okay for looking for a 5v5 fight, your team is stronger with you. Try to get out their carries, for example oneshot their botlane with R+F+E. Your main goal is to hit lvl 16!
Combos
Basic knowledge on kassadin spells:
  • Q: You gain magic shield and interrupt channeling/charging spells (Sion Q,Vi Q, etc)
  • W: You gain back mana always, hitting a champs gives you huge amount of mana back.
    Use R + aa + W for gaining mana back and trading with laner.
    Also your W is an aa reset. This means you can go aa+W for burst.
  • E: Has a lower range than your Q,also slows enemy.
  • R: Has the same effect as flash, it has a lot of cancels with F. It deals AoE dmg where you land your R
    The most useful combo to use R + F increasing your R range.

Combos:
  • E + Q for laning trades
  • aa + W for aa reset
  • E + aa +W + Q for burst
  • Q + R + aa + W + E You start with you, go into melee range, aa + W for the burst and killing with E
    If the enemy has no clue that you are there you can start with E too
    If you think the enemy has flash up you can go:
  • R + aa + W + E + Q
    You can oneshot squishy champs with R+F+W with Staff + Lich Bane
Pros
  • Great AP champ for dealing huge dmg
  • Great champ to counter AP champs
  • Can fit into many comps
  • Can oneshot important enemies
  • Builds up advantage easily
  • Can split freely and survive those
  • Good roamer
  • High mobility
Cons
  • Can be easily counter picked
  • Can be easily stomped by jungler if you macro is lacking
  • Hard laning
  • Low base armor
  • Needs time to scale
  • In the early phase of the game, you can't take camps as resources
