I am a Silver 3 Akali one trick with over 420K mastery points on her. I currently have a 65% winrate with Akali and 57% winrate in Solo Queue overall. I have mained Akali for a year and a half. She is simple to start with, but takes work to master.I mained support until a couple months into Season 7 when I realized i was never gonna escape Bronze as suppoprt. I picked up Akali and was silver within a couple months. Currently on the climb with bad internet, but am hoping to be High gold or Plat before the Akali rework.

Akali is one of the most versatile champions.You can build her as a one shot assassin, or as a tank that still does heavy damage. She can be played Top or Mid and even bot in the current meta, though she will struggle early there.

Against the majority of Melee champs you will want to constantly keep your Q on them. Then if they try to last hit minions you can easily proc your Q to do good damage. Level 2 You will continue to do this, but will have added mobility with your shroud blink/movement speed. Shroud is also able to proc your electrocute making level 2 electrocute procs simple.

Against the majority of ranged champions you just have to play safe until 6. Once you get ult, assuming they haven't killed you too many times, you should be able to hop onto them and do massive damage. The key when ulting onto a mage is to Q, then ult onto them and instantly shroud to the side. This will help dodge spells and cc that they may throw at you. Once they put all their abilities on cooldown you can proc your Q and by this point should be able to put another Q on them and proc it again. With your three ult stacks, you can chase them down even if they flash away. If chasing them leads you under turret, be ready to ult out onto a minion after killing them.

Akali's main purpose is to go in and deal massive damage. When done right, Akali can go into most teams and one shot an ADC or mage, Zhonya's then one shot another enemy. Her ult makes it easy to reach the back line of an enemy team to wipe out their damage.
