By Shujin Jasukai
Introduction
Hello There! My name is Shujin Jasukai but feel free to just call me Jasukai. I Started playing league in 2012 when Jayce was the newest released champion. I'm currently in gold and almost in plat. My highest rank that I have hit is plat 3. Master Yi was the very first champion i played consistently and i always seem to come back to him, I have a little over 400,000 points on Yi currently. I have a 68% win rate right now with 118 games this season on Yi And a 65% win rate with 158 games last season on Yi. I hope to be able to share what I have learned and help others who wish to get better at jungle and playing master yi.
Pros and Cons
Master Yi Pros

-Excellent hyper-scaling
-Very good 1v5 Potential
-Awesome for low elo
-If ahead very hard to deal with
-Tank Shredder
-Good survivability

Master Yi Cons

-Weaker early game
-Not very good ganks due to no cc
-Squishy and can be bursted quickly
-Lots of counters
-Hard to make a comeback if behind
-More vulnerable to counter jungling early
Important details and mechanics
Active your Wuju style (E) when you have your double strike from passive up, this will increase your damage output and increase your efficiency. Try to save This ability for after your rage blade is stacked up.

Time your Alpha Strike (Q) to dodge skill shots or avoid getting bursted with a quick combo. Pay attention to its cool down and use auto attacks to get it up quicker again to get to targets with mobility or dodge skill shots. you can also use your Alpha Strike to dodge turret shots/switch aggro. When using Alpha Strike to turret dive if you use it on minions they will keep moving since you are un-targetable which can take you out of turret range.

Timing your Meditate (W) is very important as well for avoiding getting bursted. You can utilize Meditate to tower dive negating turret damage by 30%. Use your meditate to keep refreshing your ult if you cant get a reset by killing someone for a few seconds. You can also use Meditate as an auto attack reset.

Save your Highlander (ult) for when you get a bit closer to your opponent otherwise you may not be able to get a reset on your ult. often times in team fights its best to just start by attacking the closest enemy to get your rageblade stacked up, once its stacked then you can ult to make sure you get a reset then go for their highest damage dealer(s) adc/mid usually.

Bonus: (Super Secret Bug) Master Yi's Meditate normally reduces 60% damage and is reduced to 30% against turrets, you can reduce turret shots by the full 60%. To do this right as the turret shot hits you you meditate and then quickly cancel it and keep moving.
Early game, Ganks, and Dragon
When playing Master Yi you always want to start red buff unless the successfully invade and force you to do blue even then you could go and take their red if you know they are taking yours. Just be careful however as they might ward their own red to prevent you from taking it. If your red is on top side get Krugs then go for a gank. When Ganking top go in first without using your Alpha Strike and try to save your q until it will kill them or they . If you can get their great as that opens up options for your top laner. Be mindful if they have teleport, they might teleport back to lane where you can possibly go back in and pick up an easy kill. As far as dragons after you get skirmishers sabre get sweeper and a control ward if you can use this to clear vision around and in the dragon pit and take dragon if clear. Say for example their jg is top lane you can get dragon. you can solo the dragon by using your Alpha Strike to dodge the dragons attacks when possible.
Mid game to Late Game and Teamfights
As the game starts to transition from early mid into late game make sure that your still farming when you can its very important to get your jungle item , and / depending on their team composition. Especially after you have you can usually 1v2/1v3 since this massively increases your damage output and penetration. Once you get you can solo baron although for this to work your team needs to be able to distract or win a teamfight 4v5 and you need to clear wards so they dont have vision and know your doing baron. As far as teamfighting It is so important to get a reset on you ult by getting a kill or assist. if you ult too early and don't get a reset you are easier to kill and you might lose the teamfight. One of the best ways to start a teamfight is to build up your rage blade stacks on the closest enemy and then flash and ult onto a squishy in their back line for an easy kill.
