I'm no one of importance. I just enjoy playing the game and testing out different champions and builds in various positions of the game. I'm unranked but have decent enough understanding of champions, items, and their synergies.

The point of building Spear of Shojin before Black Clover or Ravenous Hydra is to play around Renekton's R. In theory, the synergy between Renekton's ultimate and Spear of Shojin's passive should allow you to snowball almost any lane. Before purchasing SOS you'd play Renekton like normal, but after you want to either start fights with Dominus (Renekton's ultimate) or use it early to abuse the SOS passive as much as possible. By the time you've acquired SOS, uptime on your ultimate should be frequent, and you'll be nigh impossible to gank or fight with even three people depending on 1) your map awareness, 2) mechanical ability, and 3) the mechanical ability of enemy players.I'll update this guide further explanations and examples in the future so please stay tuned.
