Introduction

Hi there, my summoner name is Hejjihoggu, I'm writing a guide for my very favourite champion, Singed!

I play a lot of top lanes and I know the matchups fairly well, singed being my favourite champ I still manage to get quite a few wins out of him at 2k+ so I figured I would share what I know.

I will do my best to explain as much as I can about singed and keep it up to date through the season patches, I will be constantly playing singed (and other tops) to practice for a team so I will be sure to release more guides if the feedback on this one is good!

Pros / Cons

Pros to playing Singed: Well first of all he's a ****ing badass who juggles Alistar, Nautilus and Blitzcrank around like beanbags.
- Strong level 1 invade ( Ghost + Fling will catch people who Flash).
- Insanely tanky cause of Insanity Potion.
- Mega Adhesive can be used as one of the most effective peeling mechanisms in the game.
- Poison Trail does good damage and is nearly impossible to avoid in a team fight. Also a great zoning mechanism in lane.
- Tough to catch because of Insanity Potion + Ghost combined with Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed.
- Good at farming to make up for his heavy item dependency.

Cons:
- Melee laning phase with no ranged abilities.
- Susceptible to permaslows like Skarner and Anivia.
- Secretly the grinch and steals presents.
- Needs farm badly.

Masteries

1/21/8
Summoner's Wrath is for ghost and ignite improvements, always worth it.
I take full defense with regen masteries and resistances to make you tougher to push out of lane early game. Take every movement speed mastery because movement speed is your achilles heel, without being able to catch up to the opponents you cannot do any damage or disrupt the enemy team at all.

SkillS

Poison Trail This your main damage source, max it first.

Fling This your utility skill, it does fairly good early game damage so I like to put a 2nd point in it unless I desperately need a slow (like against Teemo or Kayle). If you don't need your slow you can even put more points into it to out trade your lane harder!

Mega Adhesive This your AoE slow, it has great utility in a team fight but when people are running away they will almost always expect it and veer to the side once your animation goes off.

Insanity Potion This is what makes Singed who he is, you gain every stat you want; armour, magic resistance, movement speed, ability power and regeneration. When you activate this you become the biggest, fastest, scariest **********er on the rift.

Summoner Spells

Ghost This is a must. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Ignite This is not a must but its preferable, you often can use it to surprise people with your high damage early game.

Exhaust This is an acceptable replacement for ignite, it lets you fling someone and then you can combo Exhaust with Mega Adhesive for a chain slow. Don't use it while your enemy is on Mega Adhesive or it will not do the full slow due to diminishing returns, wait until he has gotten past it to keep him slowed for a lot longer.

Teleport This is okay if you are with a coordinated team running Teleport comps or if you just want to farm for late game and use this to get in on plays.

Items

The items listed in the cheat sheet are for a game against a fairly well balanced team.

If you are taking too much magic damage then don't get a Sunfire Aegis instead you could grab a Abyssal Mask if you could use a bit of damage as well or Spirit Visage if you want to get some more CDR and regenerate more in fights, combined with your Force of Nature this gives you huge sustain and regeneration in fights.

Team Fights

If no one else can initiate, you can initiate team fights with your Fling or Mega Adhesive. You won't want to just run in and die because you're not Karthus, once you're dead you're useless so you'll want to make sure you don't get exploded once you initiate.

Jungle/support/mid Singed

If you wanted to you could basically run singed in any lane, whether your team agrees with you or not is of no consequence, you're Singed! You don't care!

Jungle Singed:: I would probably swap out the Greater Glyph of Scaling Ability Power for Greater Glyph of Ability Power as well as swapping Ignite for Smite. Grab Cloth Armor and 5x Health Potion. You'll be starting at the wolf camp and moving on to blue buff, get your team to help you at wolves so you take less damage and then have them leash blue buff. You go from here to either your wraiths or to do a quick invade/gank. After wraiths or your invade/gank, go to your red and use smite to secure it.

Support Singed: I wouldn't recommend Singed as support just because of your heavy farm dependency but you CAN force a LOT of kills because of your heavy early game damage and zoning ability with Mega Adhesive and Fling.Just try to abuse their AD any time he overextends and make sure your AD is prepared for some super aggression.

Mid Singed: This is a bit more tricky, you have to really watch out for snares and stuns because if you get CC'd the enemy is just gonna walk away and you won't have done any damage to them, however provided you can get onto them and fling them just auto them while you run in front of them to keep them in poison and you will almost always outdamage them.

In Conclusion

Singed is the best thing ever no matter what and will always win every game doing anything. No exceptions.

No but in all seriousness, Singed is a very strong champion and I feel like he needs to get more play so I made this guide. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated and I will be checking the guide over and making adjustments 1-2 times per week.
