Pre-guide comment

This is a guide for advanced players who know how warwick plays. i won't be explaining the skills and how they work.

NOTE 1: watch the Item choice for sure don't build Magic Resist first if you lane vs for example: jarvan

NOTE: i just typed this guide fast , if i made typo's comment please. i will be adding pictures :)

have fun reading and feel free to ask some questions and rate and comment

Intro + What is a lanewick

Lanewick is Warwick as a very good 1v1 and 1v2 solo laner. he can harass an enamy very well by just threating with the and use it if u lost some HP. a fed tanky warwick can carry a whole team without a doubt. if you just keep on last hitting and farming those minions. you will get very fed, just try to zone out your opponent.

Runes

For runes you basicly take standard tank runes which are:

Mark:
most of his damage (Hungering Strike, Wit's End and Infinite Duress) are magic damage based.

Seal:
flat armor is a need if you don't want to get hit so early by an AD champion for example : jax , jarvan and irelia which all are solo laners. these would hurt you and need you to get zoned. and if you are underleveld with warwick you are so damn screwed.

Glyph
or
same reason as above. get a bit tanky early game and take no damage.

Quints
just flat health which goes well with the extra armor and magic resist.

you can also replace the quints with flat healt regen /5

Masteries

Standard 0-21-9 for tanks

get the mana regen on 9 points. the extra coin each minute isn't worth it.

NOTE: if you do take the teleport like i do 99% of my games. get the mastery point to ofcourse

Summoner Spells

is basicly a must
flash gives you alot of adventages:
- flash ulti to engage with warwick.
- flash over a wall to escape and get away easily
- if an enamy uses his flash to get away you can just follow him and then with ur blood scent you can easily chase him down.

as secondary , i take teleport to get back to my lane or teleport to a ward for gank
you can take every viable Summoner spell for 2nd, but flash is a must

possible summoner spells:

possible but not recommended

NOTE: even though you are a tank as warwick , with the wit's end and the you can do enough damage to take most champions in 1v1

Skill Sequence

in 8 characters :

> > >
NOTE get the on lvl 4 after that. follow this rule

basicly this means
if you can level up your ulti it.
if you can't level the ulti , pick the next one which is your
if you can't level that, pick the
at last, if you can't level that, pick the

Item choice

Ok, for items start off with a Doran' ring, i start with this item 100% of my games this is a need
doran ring gives u the ability power to deal +15 damage and +15 heal

next item just the standard to get some speed to harass your enamy more. get faster to low health minions and run away if you get ganked.

after this get the fast. this provides u some magic resist and the main thing why you chose this: the extra healing, this works on your and on your passive it also provides you some cooldown reduction.

after this you want to get the / /

when do you pick the ? if your opponent doesn't have much CC and no Physical Damage

when do you pick the mercury treads? if your opponent has enough CC to make you pick it and they don't use Physical Damage as main damage ( for example )
NOTE: you can also get magic Sorcerer's Boots as most of your damage is magic based but i don't recommend [Mercury Threads] as most teams always have some CC

when do you pick the
Now for example: you solo 1v1 lane vs

you start off with your . you only last hit minions and harass on opponents. threating to use the but only use it when you lost about 150 HP

you just harass him away from his minions, start off a little bit defensive/normal
once you go back for the and grab a sight ward also. and place it in the corner above baron.
with the spirit visage and the runes and masteries you got quite nough magic resist to play agresive
whenever you see an opponent jungler going for a gank. just play normal/defensive.
just go behind your own minions and last hit the opponents one.

now after you need to back the question is

after this you want to get the / mercury treads /

when do you pick the ? if your opponent doesn't have much CC and no Physical Damage

when do you pick the ? if your opponent has enough CC to make you pick it and they don't use Physical Damage as main damage ( for example )
NOTE: you can also get magic Sorcerer's Boots as most of your damage is magic based but i don't recommend as most teams always have some CC

when do you pick the ? if you're opponent hasn't got much cc and isn't magic damage based. (for example jarvan again)

after this just follow the guidelines above to pick your next item

Now after these items, your last items are always chosen on how the game evolved.

if they have lots of magic damage, get the and or [force of nature size=32] (if they have much cc go for the banshee)

if they have lots of Attack Damage, get the first for armor, mana and cooldown. after that get the or
(I copy-pasted this)
well, doesn't has any CC, he's not Physical Damage, so get the .
if you find any trouble with mana, because vlad harasses alot and you need to use alot, you might want to grab a .

After this will get the or the first. depending if opponent team got a fed AD player or not.

if your mid/bot lane is doing well and not feeding the ad carry, just grab the mercury for even more magic resist.
if you play well last hitting. vlad lost his lane badly and will be easy kill in teamfights.

if they have lots of Attack Damage, get the first for armor, mana and cooldown. after that get the or , you mostly want to go for the i bet.

Use of ultimate

you have 3 reasons to use your ulti properly with a killing blow normally

1. in your 1v1 lane you harassed and kited the enamy alot and he is about 1/3 hp you can use your ulti then and chase him down.

2. use it to engage a teamfight on opponents carry.
your ultimate is supposed to surpress, and not deal damage. you will likely get focussed and this is what you want. Get focussed and save your carries.

3. when your team is chasing or ganking someone. use the ultimate so he won't get away
