Champion Build Guide
Introduction
Hello, guys. I am ShadowSlayerMain or SSM, a Zed main who ended up in Gold Tier during S9. If you had been given a card from loot which was called as Sett's calling card you'd get a new champion for free. That is Sett, a champion with great synergies and Teamfight tools. On this guide I will show you how to dominate on Top Lane with him. Be sure to read my chapters well because they have explanations and more. Good Luck!
Pros And Cons
+ Strong Early Game + Easy Teamfights + Outplay Potential Thanks to his W- Haymaker and double Auto Attacking, Sett can easily Outplay punish his enemy laner by dealing enough damage. |
- Early Game disadvantages - Easily kited - Bad Focus in Teamfights If your Laning Phase is difficult you should rely on your strong Passive- Pit Grit regen and even if you miss W- Haymaker, you have got a shield. In Teamfights you should focus tanks with your R- The Show Stopper to deal more AoE damage. |

RESOLVE |
These are the secondary runes for Jungle. With Nimbus Cloak, you will gain increased MS after casting a Summoner Spell which can be compatible with your Smite after you upgrade it. Waterwalking will help you reach a lane to gank it by increasing your MS when you walk on the river. |
This is your Starting Item. Sett doesn't need Doran's Blade since his Right Punches are stronger and his Passive- Pit Grit restores enough HP. |
These are your rushing Items for increased MS to start trading, CDR and Attack Speed. Sett may be an Auto Attack based champion but he doesn't really need Tiamat for wave clears since he's got W- Haymaker for trading while farming. |
This is Sett's basic Core Item. He may not work with Mana to build Items like Sheen but his Q- Knuckle Down can trigger its Spellblade Passive. |
This is your next Core Item to be more tanky. It is also very useful in Teamfights thanks to is Lifeline Passive. |
This is the best continue for increased damage. Its Cleave Passive increases your damage thanks to your Core Items Synergy. |
This is your MR option. Its Passive ability will increase your Passive- Pit Grit's healing by 30%. It is very useful in Teamfights for being a beast on your enemies. |
Tanky options against On-Hit and Crit enemies that also reduce their Attack Speed. Their Passive and Active abilities are useful in Teamfights for more CC. |
This can be optional because of its Life Steal Option and Bleeding Passive. |
This is another Life Steal Option. Its Active ability can help you chase your target and can stack its MS with Q- Knuckle Down's buff. |
This is your Defensive mobility option. It can also reduce your target's MS with your next Auto Attack. |
This can restore enough of your HP out of combat. You shouldn't build it under 3000 max HP. |
After you full build you can build one of these 2 to increase your Spell Vamp or your Tenacity. |
Laning Phase
As Sett you can farm from short range mostly thanks to his Q- Knuckle Down. At level 1 you'll be starting with W- Haymaker to counter your enemy laner while farming. At level 2 you'll be taking E- Facebreaker because you will already have doubled Auto Attacks thanks to his Passive- Pit Grit. When you reach level 3 and get Q- Knuckle Down you can start trading by approaching your enemy laner thanks to its MS buff. If your HP drops a lot you can stay under your tower so you can restore it thanks to your Passive- Pit Grit. The best way to avoid ganks is getting R- show stopper at level 6 and casting it on the enemy jungler. If this leads you to your tower you can still kill them by CC-ing them with E- Facebreaker.
Late Game
Sett is the only champion that needs to focus an enemy tank with R- show stopper so he can start or continue a Teamfight. If you success on that and if it leads you on other enemies you can continue with E- Facebreaker to pull them and stun them if you are between them. With these 2 Spells you have heavy control of the Teamfight. An ally with CC-ing Spells can also help you stun the enemy team to take them out easily. The best you can do to win a Teamfight is dealing a lot of damage with W- Haymaker. You can also chase your target by using Q- Knuckle Down thanks to its MS buff.
In Conclusion
