Support Anivia? What is this nonsense!?

I often find support to a boring and ineffective role, you're basically the waterboy. Carrying the items the team doesn't want to hold. Not doing any damage, even what you're suppose to be doing(healing/shields) is pretty much ineffective! Allow me to explain! Here we'll have a average support Sona VS support Anivia with this build, but hold the phone here because I'm not going to put people under impressions that current supports are useless. This is simply not the case, first off yes, this build is useless on Sona, she's a champion that is made around auras so the current support items are useful on her. But anyways next chapter will compare to the champions and stats.

Pros / Cons

Pros
You're still supporting while dealing damage.
You can stunlock people.
Catching up on farm is easy.
You'll be credit to team!

Cons
Tanks might rage at you asking them to buy runic
You'll often be called a troll
If you're in bronze people will just entirely derp out and pick a support thinking you're going mid
Pretty squishy early game

Items

Items are the butter to your bread for this build, with locket and cubical you are giving your team heals and a shield. It's pretty important to take all three support items but if you wish to take another AP item, cut out cubical.

AP items
Treat your torment and DFG as core and crystal, WOTA, hourglass as situation only, you already have passive slows for your torment, so crystal is to only be used should you need extra slow power. Hourglass is only if you know how to do baits for your team, as WOTA is should be for if you have champs such as Kat, Jax, etc, who could really use the spell vamp.

Abilities & how to play Aniv support

You basically play like any other support, use your CC(Q) to poke the enemies or start a fight while laning, be sure to Q+E as well, W will come in handy in denying someone's retreat/pursuit so level it as often as your Q, you're ult also allows you to block off an enemies pursuit or escape as well! While laning be sure to let the ADC get kills but if he obviously can't get it just take it, when laning is done don't shy away from farming and taking kills, after all you want to be able to buy items soon or later.

Maokai you're best friend
Maokai's bind and your Q+W will basically allow you to CC just about anyone to death. If they have cleanse be sure to space out your Q from maokai's snare so they don't just cleanse both of your CCs. Also make sure champs like Sivir don't use their spellshields.

Unique Skills

Although Aniv's wall snare thing was patched, it's still possible by clipping someone to something like a turret, inhib, nexus, etc. It allows you to catch enemies easily and comes in handy!
