Yeah at this time you should asking yourself why did i have chosen smite on a support.
Its really sample, with smite you can:

• Help you adc on early game golems.
• Help you first jungle's blue.
• Build you items fast than normal.
• Using on tank minions for 10 gold, they won't die so you adc still can farm they.
• Can secure a Baron/Dragon.
