Taric is a melee support with high dueling power, Hard CC, large amounts of utility through shields and heals and a surprisingly high DPS.
Taric is mainly played in bot lane as a support due to his early game presence with a large AOE stun Dazzle but he's scales into a really tanky support that's able to peel for his carries with his amazing kit.
Taric is an Unique champion in a way that he's playable in both top lane and in jungle.
No matter what role you play or what playstyle Taric can still be a huge asset to your team with his Cosmic Radiance

Bravado Taric's passive gives Taric 100% Attackpeed and magic damage ( Base damage + Bonus armor) for the next 2 autoattacks after using an ability. Each hit reduces the cooldown of Tarics Q W E by 1-CDR Seconds( from 1 second at 0% CDR to 0.55 at 45% CDR )
Bravado interactions:
Starlight's Touch Is Taric's first ability, it's an AOE heal that stacks up over time, the amount of max stacks goes from 1 to 5 depending on the ability level, the intial recharge cooldown is quite high but it's actual cooldown is only 3 seconds. Each bravado hit will grant u one stack of starlight's touch, with the combination of bravados cooldown reduction you're able to continuously spam Q + 2 autoattacks empowered by bravado.
The first issue that comes at you is mana, starlight's touch has a high mana cost compared to taric's W and E as well it can drain your mana pool quite fast, consider getting some flat mana in your build because mana regen will not be as effective here. Each stack scales with ability power and bonus health and all stacks are consumed when used.
Due to mana increases in leveling, it's best to max Q last, but since bravado gives u 2 hit's each time, putting a 2nd point at level 4 is quite effective, it doubles your previous healing from 1 stack to 2 stacks and the mana cost isnt as drastic. Max by lvl 18
Bastion Taric's second ability has two parts to it, active is that you shield yourself and/or an ally for a % of the users max health. When you shield an ally, you two are linked.
Taric can then cast all of his other abilities from the linked ally, this is an important tool to have when you're a solo lane taric player and if you're binded to your jungler.
Passibly bastion gives you and the selected ally bonus armor based of taric's armor.
The cast range of the ability range is a bit shorter then the max range untill the link is broken, If taric self casts the ability it will shield the selected ally also, if the previously marked ally isnt in range the closest ally will be shielded and mark moved to the new champion. the shield scales with target's max hp so if you're shielding a squishy champion his shield will be smaller.
If the ally ability and your's get crossed, they do not get bonus effects, Q will not heal for more, and E will not deal more damage, rather, it's not good to cross them because you lose effective area.
Considering that both the shield and armor scale off your max stats, maxing the ability later on will be the best option, but Q mana costs are way too high so you max W second
Dazzle is Taric's third ability, Taric projects a beem that stuns and damages all enemies. Taric can move freely, use summoner spells, item actives and so on while dazzle is charing. One of my personal favourite combos are aiming dazzle in the wrong angle of an enemy and then using Flash or hextech protobelt to hit the stun.
Dazzle scales off Ap and bonus armor, the stun duration is 1.25 at all ranks and it's CD get's reduced by leveling.
