Introduction

Hi everyone, and welcome to my first guide about Teemo, the Yordle.

This guide is for a 3vs3 game mod.

I've been playing this champ very often, and tried many builds. But this one, in my opinion, is the build wich I've harassed much more than with other ones.

This little guide, will focus on a Teemo of AS/AD. So here we go.

Just to say, that when I update/uploaded this guide, the Guide Type is set to Dominion, insted of Champion. I'll contact to support to fix it

2012/11/02 * Added Lane and Play time
2012/11/21 * Fixed options for search (now it's a Champion Guide (before couldn't change it from Dominion), Twisted Treeline Map, Lane Bottom
2012/12/07 * Updated Maestries since the new Patch
2012/12/07 * Updated Summoner Spell, Surge was removed
2013/05/24 * Updated Items
2013/06/12 * Updated Items - Malady no more in this patch

**Have to say that now that 3.8 doesn't brings Malady anymore, will have to try it with Nashor's Tooth.

Pros / Cons

First of all, let's see what PRO's and CONS can this build have.

PRO's
  • Q Blinding Dart will be painful for carries
  • Lot's of damage with every hit
  • Great movement around with Move Quick and Noxious Trap
  • Even without AP, our Toxic Shot, we can make serius damage
  • Camouflage will be our ally to avoid ganks or to make them

CONS
  • Very squishy
  • Q Blinding Dart at early may is not very effective
  • You will be the first (most times) to be ganked of the team
  • Early high mana dependant for Q Blinding Dart

In the last section, I'll post some results I obtained playing this build.

As my first guide, I'll appreciate that if you notice there's a missing PRO or CON, notice me to add it.

Masteries

Well, for Maestries, as an AS/AD Teemo, we will focus on the damage and the speed.
It's not about to get all maestries on damage, also some armor/magic resistance is important, at least, for an early game.

Runes

The Runes I choosed for this build are the followings:

Runes

Precision
Fleet Footwork
Phase Rush

Greater Mark of Attack Damage It gives you nearly 1 attack damage. I choosed this one because it helps a little bit more than Greater Mark of Scaling Attack Damage in an early game (level <= 6)(please, if this is wrong, notify me, and I will change it).

Greater Seal of Armor It's good to have some armor, it will keeps you a bit more in lane.

Greater Glyph of Attack Speed It will helps to get an extra speed.

Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage +6.75 damage it's a good deal. I prefered this one insted of Greater Quintessence of Attack Speed because we'll have a great AS in combat thanks to the items. Thouse items will be explained in further chapters.

What gives you all this Runes?

Fisical damage: +15
Attack Speed: +5.7%
Armor: +13

Skill Sequence

In my opinion, for this kind of Teemo, the most important skill to level up is our Q Blinding Dart, followed by our W Move Quick, then our R Noxious Trap and finally E Toxic Shot.

Toxic Shot is the less important because we won't have AP, but can help in future due to the additional damage we'll deal to our enemies.

Noxious Trap won't deal that damage as we were an AP build, but it will help us to have some map advantage when we rich level 6, preventing to be ganked, and to gank a solitary enemy. Also, mention the reduction of movement speed, that will allow us to run safe or forwards for finish a kill.

Move Quick it will help us every minute of game, early, mid and late.

Blinding Dart will be our main ability, doing serious damage and preventing fisical attacks for a few seconds. This can decide wich team-fight could win.

Items

Well, here we can have some variants, and I will try to explain them the best I can.

Item Sequence

Boots 300
Dagger 300
Health Potion 50
Berserker's Greaves 1100
Zeal 1100
Phantom Dancer 2800
Nashor's Tooth 3000
B. F. Sword 1300
Sanguine Blade 3000
Phage 1100
Giant's Belt 900
Frozen Mallet 3100
B. F. Sword 1300
Black Cleaver 3000
Zeal 1100

First of all, we will start with Boots, Dagger and 2 x Health Potion.
As Twisted Treeline is redone within the new version of Shadow Island, we start with a little bit more of gold, and also, new items. We start with thouse items because we'll have an extra movement speed, extra attack speed, and a health potion to stay a little bit more in lane.

After farming, and may a kill or two, we'll be able to buy Stinger, and may Berserker's Greaves, for an extra AS. Now we can go for our Phantom Dancer. First of all, I would go for Zeal and then craft it into the mentioned item. After it, we can go craft Stinger for Nashor's Tooth.

After that, we can now buy Sanguine Blade. Also, if you want an item before crafting it into Sanguine Blade, you can buy Vampiric Scepter. With it, you can renegerate part of your life lost thanks to your AS. Or if you want some more damage, addquire a B. F. Sword.

After it, we will go for Phage and Giant's Belt, getting an extra life, a little damage, and of course, the chance to reduce enemies movement speed on each attack. When we got enough gold, we will buy Frozen Mallet.

For an ultimate item, just get something that will give you an extra damage. It's up to you, but I would recomend B. F. Sword and craft it into Black Cleaver. Also, you may want more damage, and you can craft it into Infinity Edge, getting more chances for a critical hit, that would be very painful for your enemies. Even you can go for Trinity Force!
Personally, I rarely went into this ultimate item, because of a quick win, or lose.
In the last section, you will see my Match History, and there's a game from Dominion. I just played 1 or 2 time in that game mode, but what I saw, it's nearly the same as here, just changing one or two items. Entropy for Sanguine Blade and Ionic Spark for Frozen Mallet. I'll have to practice more in that mode, and will try to update this section in a future.

Summoner Spells

The two Summoner Spells I usually that are:
Ignite
Flash

If you need an extra damage or for finishing an enemy that will try to run away without life, and you can't reach him with a basic attack, Ignite will help you to kill it. Also, when you use it, enemies tend to go a little bit back, so that can help you to farm with the security (or part of it) it will not try to attack you.

The Flash spell will help you to escape, but not also is used for escaping, it will help you to persecute enemies and harass them.

Some other interesting Summoner Spells are:

Exhaust: slowing down an enemy is usefull for escaping, even for finishing them.

Heal: good spell to heal yourself and allies around you. This one is very usefull when a team-fight is initiated. Healing all your mates in a fight can be the best way to win that battle.

Lane and Play time

It's good to play bot lane with a mate that will carry you.

First of all, you and your mates should go to protect your Altar. When they are activated, go and conquer your Altar, so for every kill you will earn extra gold from minions.
For defend your Altar, I use to be in the bushes surrounded by red when the other team DO NOT play with Blitzcrank, Nidalee, or thouse champs that can grab you or with a single hit damage you a ton. For thouse type of champ, I use to be in the yellow zone. Your camouflage will do it's work in both spots.

It's good that you farm the most you can as soon as possible, so you will get your AS items the early you can.

When your mate leaves you because they went back or died, stay in tower and farm, farm, farm, always, if possible, with one, or both, of the Altars under your control.

When you reach level 6, start adding mushrooms into your zone. By this way you will have more control of your zone and avoid ganks.
Later, when your team starts to push into opponents zone, try to add mushrooms into their exits to the street, that will help if they appear, slow them and have the opportunity to go back safely. Try to add mushrooms in their zone while your is plenty full of them, it will be more secure to run into your zone if they are running towards you or a mate.

Summary

Well, time to finish this guide.

Mention that this is a guide, it's not about to follow it extrictly as it's said. You may choose different items depending on the other champs and situation of game.
It's a shame, really, that in the new Twisted Treeline, Madred's Bloodrazor isn't able to buy. It will help a lot with tank champs, but may, LoL saw that in such a little map, is an OP item.

Well, wanna say sorry if I wrote something wrong. My english is not perfect, so, for any grammar errors, send me a PM to fixed it.

Thanks for reading my first guide, sure it can be better, just let me know how to improve it!
