the hood: EUW S13 1K LP+ CHALLENGER DRAVEN GUIDE

By the hood
Intro
Hello, My Name is hood. I have been playing Draven in EUW High elo for several years now. I picked him up in Season 5 and been playing him since then. I peaked Challenger several times.

For quiet some time i started to stream on twitch (tw: thexxhood). Nowadays i finished my Bachelordegree in economics and trying fulltime streaming. Im basically streaming every day and trying to play Draven when the banrate is allowing it. Playing that much allowed me to even peak over 1K Lp.
I will Update this Guide permanently and if you have suggestions or questions you want me to add in this guide: Join my Discord under this Link: https://discord.gg/rtwz3dqHBj
You can message me your suggestions/questions in the Channel "Guide" and i will consider all of it updating the guide. I will probably also consider updating the superficial look of the already giving info of the guide but for now i wanted to publish it with the important information and ignore a bit how it looks.
Basics
Draven is one of the hardest ADC Champs to pick up. He is mechanically hard and has really unique playstyle.
Should you play Draven?:
This question obv can only be answered by yourself. I would only recommend learning Draven if you are really into his Champ Design. He is one of the most tilting Champions to play since you are depended on getting kills (passive Stacks) and if you die without Cashing in, you are basically playing without a passive. Draven without a lot of kills is just a weak ADC Champion with short range in Mid/Late Game. Learning Dravens limits to the fullest is important to be really able to get everything out of the Champion. To reach the highest elos with Draven your laning has to be on a really good level and Jungle tracking is important aswell.

Strengths:
- Strong laner
- Blindpickable
- High Damage
- Good Snowballer
- E offers a lot of Counterplay vs a lot of different Champs.

Weaknesses:
- OTP level of investment to learn him to the fullest
- Bad and really hard to play from behind (Short range)
- Unique playstyle (u have to invest a lot of time + effort, which parts of are only useful for playing Draven
- Tanky/High CC comps are hard to play
Runes/Items/Sums
I gave most informations towards Runes, Items and Summoner Spells in the Notes to each Section.
Biggest Questions:
- Collector or ER?: Most Draven Players are stressing over Itembuilds to much. Essence Reaver is more dmg after a certain amount of Procs + it allows u to spam W. But the buildpath is not optimal.

Collector has a eally good build path. Your normal AA deal more dmg and so does your R. I personally play Triumph with Collector as well but most people see themselves forced to go Presence of Mind playing it.

It does not matter which one of the 2 you play - it is purely preference.

Mythics:
Infinity Edge is the best choice in my opinion by far.

Youmuu's Ghostblade can be played if enemy is all squishy but i prefer IE over it still.

Trinity Force is viable but not the most optimal Item for Draven. You can play it over IE if Enemy has a lot of Champs that are hard to deal with and u wont kill them in small amount of AA (Trinity gives u some tankyness).

Runes:
I recommend going lethal tempo every game. Triumph / Presence of Mind or even Overheal is pure preference. Alacrity or Bloodline is depended on ur build -> IE: if you plan to go a lifesteal Item third -> Alacrity if not -> Bloodline. Trinity = Bloodline.

I dont recommend Hail of Blades but you can play it if enemy seems really squishy.

Domination or Sorcery Second?:
I recommend Domination if you are confident in lane but its pure preference again.
(Red: Eyeball collector + Bounty Hunter // Blue: Absolute Focus + Gathering Storm)
Basic (Mechanical) Tips for every Champ
I will just give small basic tips playing against each Champion.
