Introduction
What began as war quickly became extermination. Noxian soldiers followed the terrifying Zaunite war machines across fields of death. It wasn't the glorious combat for which Riven trained. She carried out the orders of her superiors, terminating the remnants of a beaten and fractured enemy with extreme prejudice. As the invasion continued, it became clear that the Ionian society would not be reformed, merely eliminated. During one bitter engagement, Riven's unit became surrounded by Ionian forces. They called for support as the enemy closed in around them. What they received instead was a barrage of biochemical terror launched by Singed. Riven watched as around her Ionian and Noxian alike fell victim to an unspeakably gruesome fate. She managed to escape the bombardment, though she could not erase the memory. Counted dead by Noxus, she saw an opportunity to start anew. She shattered her sword, severing ties with the past, and wandered in self-imposed exile - on a quest to seek atonement and a way to save the pure Noxian vision in which she believed.
''There is a place between war and murder / in which our demons lurk.''
Greater Glyph of Magic Resist: Gives Riven more magic resistance
Greater Mark of Attack Damage: More attack damage
Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage: Adds to Riven's attack damage, good for early game
Sorcery: grants some cooldown reduction
Deadliness : extra attack damage
Weapon Expertise : gives some armor penetration
Havoc : has Riven deal more damage
Brute Force : gives Riven a small amount of damage
Sunder : more armor penetration
Executioner : deals more damage to targets with low health
Summoner's Resolve improves heal*
Durability : more health
Hardiness : increased armor
Resistance : increased magic resistance
Summoner's Insight : improves flash
* if you love ignite I would use Summoner's Wrath instead of summoner's resolve.
Flash I believe is a must have with Riven. It allows you to chase enemies or escape ganks. It will be helpful when your Ki Burst or your Valor abilities are on cooldown.
Another spell I think fits Riven. If you would use this spell I would replace it with heal and keep flash. Summoner's Wrath will help when Ignite is on cooldown.
I don't think Riven would need this spell with the abilities she has because Valor is good enough for chasing in my opinion.
Runic Blade is a good passive that has Riven's auto attacks deal increased damage for a short duration after each ability cast. For combos I would(if you can) use an ability, auto attack, ability and so on to do more damage to your opponent.
: Broken Wings can be used consecutive times( up to 3 ). It is good for chasing or running away. The final consecutive time it is used knocks the enemies back. I use it to sometimes farm minions.
: Ki burst is a great spell if used and timed correctly. It stuns the enemies hit. I like to use it when an enemy turret dives. It can also save allies from being chased. It can help with ganks. Ki burst works well with Broken Wings as well.
: Valor has multiple uses. It can give you defense when farming. It allows you to chase or even escape enemies fairly easily. Valor can also give you protection when fighting 1v1 against enemy champions
Blade of the Exile is a powerful spell if used correctly. It has a very short cooldown especially for an ultimate. It grants Riven bonus damage which is also beneficial. Blade of the Exile(after being cast) gives you access to cast Wind Slash once. Wind Slash does a decent amount of damage and (with valor) can chase and allow you to kill enemy champions easily.
Starting Items
Extra movement speed at the beginning of a game gives advantages. It allows you to a escape and chase enemies easier.
x3 Health potions will help you recover health.
Early Game
The long sword can be built depending on how well you are doing. If you are doing well I would build it into this. It gives some attack damage but the life steal is the important thing you want
Gives higher movement speed and cooldown reduction.
The Brutalizer you can also build instead of the vampiric scepter. It's a good item to get if you are having a bad start.
This item I would get if you got Vampiric Scepter. It gives extremely high attack damage.
Mid Game
This item gives some more attack damage and life steal. If you started with The Brutalizer get this after the Black Cleaver
This item gives attack damage, some health and an armor penetration passive. If you started with the Bloodthirster I would get this next.
This item gives magic resist and some attack damage. The passive helps a lot.
Late Game
It gives Riven higher armor and magic resistance. It's passive is one of the best in the game.
It gives attack damage and helps with armor penetration.
This item is like Hexdrinker except its extra passive which gives more attack damage the higher % of health Riven has missing.
Final Build
Ju5tice.....attack damage runes(mark)from armor penetration - thanks
