Introduction
WHATS POPPIN LOGANG!!! It's yah boi here to tell you all about the most powerful champion, Gnar. Now you may be thinking, "What's so special about this fuzzball?" WELL LET ME TELL YOU. Gnar is amazing because: He's adorable, he can throw a boomerang, he can throw a rock, he can hit people, he can throw people, he can jump, he can stomp, And SOOOOOOO MUCH MORE. In this guide, I will show you the very best way to play this AMAZING champ, in any given lane. But first, a little bit about myself...
Why you should trust me
Now you may be thinking, "Why should I listen to this bronze 2 trash?" And the answer to that is quite simple... YOU ABSOLUTELY SHOULDEN'T... I am mastery 7 tho so I basically am a god at this champ.
Top Lane
Now that we have that out of the way, let's talk about taking Gnar into the top lane. This build focuses on one of Gnar's greatest strengths that many people are unaware of. HIS INCREDIBLE HEALTH REGEN. The greatest health regen champions in the game (Braum, Sylas, and Vi) sport an INCREDIBLE health regen growth coefficient of 1. This, however, is but a pale imitation of the PURE POWER of Gnar's health regen coefficient of 1.75. Yes that's right... Gnar health regen scales 75% faster than any other champ in the game. At lvl 18, this results in Gnar naturaly healing 34.3 health every 5 seconds. Riot is clearly asking us to do something with this, so the entirety of this build will focus on pushing Gnar's already high health regen into UNCOMPREHENSABLE hights.
Let's start with the runes and spells. We are going to be taking the resolve tree for that EXTRA SUSTAIN. Take grasp of the undying because the goal of this build is to become UNDYING. Then, we follow it up with demolish, Second wind, and overgrowth. Then, we take inspiration as our secondary and choose biscuit delivery and time warp tonic. Finally, for summoners, we choose barrier and heal. Choosing these exact runes and spells WILL MAKE YOU WIN LANE before the game even starts.
Now, let's take strategy. We start the game by buying 3 beads and rushing to lane. Your health regen at this point will be about 2 per second which means that if you hurry, you can take a turret shot and heal back all your health before minions arrive. Use this opportunity to establish dominance by running under their tower, and hitting your opponent with a boomerang. This will show your opponent that their tower means nothing to you, and there is nothing they can do to prevent you from destroying their bloodline. Now play the lane like normal.
