Introduction
Hello, and welcome to my first ever guide! My name is OwenTheAwesomer and I am a low level yasuo main who managed to climb his way out of bronze with this build. If you happen to enjoy this guide be sure to leave a comment or give it a thumbs up! If you have any questions feel free to ask me through my IGN, OwenTheAwesomer. I worked really hard on this so if you get a chance to leave a comment on how I could improve it please let yourself be heard! |
Passive: Way of The Wanderer
Yasuo's passive is what truly defines him as a champion.
Yasuo's passive, way of the wanderer passivly grants him double all crit chance he earns. This causes him to be the crazy damage dealer he truly is. His critical strikes, are however reduced by 10%. His passive also gives him flow, which build up upon moving. Once yasuo reaches 100 flow he is given a shield that will deplete after one second.
Q: Steel Tempest
This is yasuo's main damaging ability, which is why you should max it first!
Steel tempest is yasuo's main damage source and although many people think maxing e is better I believe that q is better for poke, and dueling your lane opponent. Upon using q yasuo strikes in front of him dealing damage. This ability acts as an auto attack, meaning it can critically strike and benefits from lifesteal. After landing two consecutive q's yasuo fires a long range tornado, knocking up the opponent on contact.
W: Wind Wall
This ability is great at helping yasuo avoid ganks and deal with high poke mids. Max this last.
This ability provides yasuo with some much needed survivability. This ablility spawns a wall (of wind) in front of you that can block all projectiles. With this you can easily walk away from ganks against junglers that rely on hitting a skill shot. Ex. Lee sin, Elise, Nidalee etc.
E: Sweeping Blade
This ability provides yasuo with most of his mobility in lane and is very useful in the early laning faze if you like to play agressive.
Sweeping blade allows yasuo to dash through and do magic damage to a nearby target. It is on an extremely low cooldown but can only be used on the same champion once every few seconds. This ability acumulativly does more damage the more you use it repetitively. Try to dash through some of your enemies minions before dashing though the enemy champion to increase your damage.
R: Last Breath
Yasuo's ultimate, last breath, is extremely good skill that can be used in both duels and team fights to destroy your opponent. Take a point in this whenever you can.
This ability has a pretty short cooldown considering it is an ultimate and provides HUGE damaged in team fights. This ability can only be used on targets who are knocked, when used it teleports you to the champion(s) and hold them in the air for a few seconds and then slams them down doing damage. This ability also gives you 50% armor penetration for 15 seconds after being used.

This is another tank shredding item which is very important on the current 5.8 patch. This and the extra armor penetration from your ultimate will have you shredding through the enemy armor. |
Pros
|
+ Very good with crit chance items + Very high mobility + Great waveclear + Huge Damage + Snowballs easily + Scales well with CS + synergizes well with many champions |
Cons
|
+ Can be difficult to press R in time + Can be easily ganked + Very squishy, can be bursted down in team fights |
|
Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage:
These are a MUST on yasuo, there is no other option!Greater Mark of Critical Chance:
Running 5 critical chance runes help secure that with Shiv + Infinity Edge you will pretty much always crit, they also help out in lane when you get an odd crit early in the game.
Greater Mark of Attack Damage:
These just add a bit to yasuo's early damage output, not much of a selection.
Greater Glyph of Magic Resist:
These help a LOT against all ap mids. Pretty much always run these unless their whole team is ad, then go flat armor glyphs.
Greater Seal of Health:
Since yasuo is such a squishy champion, these are for late game team fights where you are looking to end the game. Sometimes just a sliver of health can win a fight.
